Melanie, congrats on your new (to you) ride! Know that your 9-3 convertible is doing great! Her name is now “Göta” and she’s living a happy life here in AZ!
I can relate to your situation Kyle. I picked up a 2002 Saab 9-3 convertible with only 70k on the clock. The problem was it was a Copar wreck that wasn't that bad, but Geico deemed it was a total. Most of the damage was cosmetic and easily repaired with used parts. Like you, getting all the paperwork and inspection took a little over 6 months here in Washington state. It's all licensed and insured as of last week, it's a fun car so far. There are still a few things that need to be done which should be all done before the summer months arrive. Great 9-5 Kyle and congrats!!!
Glad you lucked out on the non-salvage title, should help on re-sale. Although, judging by the smile on Melanie's face you won't be selling it anytime soon.😁👍
My 2007 SAAB 9 3 convertible is also a Copart "Salvage Title" even though the only damage is to the front bumper from the previous owner bumping it in her garage. I found three SAAB factory front license plate brackets in the trunk. But I got the car for only $1,850.
Congrats for getting it roadworthy and legal. I've got a diamond silver '11 9⁵ Turbo⁴ as well. Definitely go for the Hirsch tune.. big difference . Hope you enjoyed yours as much as I enjoy mine. Though, I just got whacked with a big engine control module failure and bill to match. The electronics really are an issue to watch that I never had with my 9000, ng900s, or my 3 OG 9⁵ Aeros or my 9³ Aero. But it is certainly one hell of a comfortable ride and much more nimble than you'd expect given its size.
Hi! Congratulations 🎉 Do you have the link to the TPS set you ordered? Also, seems like car insurance companies are quick to salvage rather than take the time and due diligence to search parts that ARE available for repair. Anyway, nice car!😊👍🏽
Is there anyway you can correspond with me to offer some expertise and advice on how I can diagnose the source of my turbo issue, not sure if it's a 02 sensor, catalytic converter, if it needs to be adjusted pr if the west gate is closed ect I'm at a lost, this is my first time owning a Saab and turbo vehicle, I would live to hear back from you and willing to pay you for your detailed advice if necessary.

Made you work for it.
Very very cool to see you rewarded for the efforts.
Saved a beauty.
And no salvage title.
Amazing luck!

It was such a great body style IMO. I wish they would bring it back.
Yo Kyle. The head unit! What is it. And was it hard. Curious to how it works with the knobs. My tpms come and go as well
