You rank biker mice from Mars above Castlevania and axley? How much pole are you smoking. And clearly you suck at games, as you keep saying, what makes you think you have the ability to accurately judge them. Batman TAS is also an S, if you suck, don't blame it on the game. The mid to late gameplay and puzzles are without question some of the most quality and unique gaming on the snes. If you were good enough to beat the first stage you'd know that
And besides you're already explaining how your ranking is flawed because you rate some sh** high based on nostalgia, and other things low based on that you just picked it up for this video as an old hack. Seriously, if you havent cleared each game from start to finish, dont think you have any credibility in ranking them.
Oh, I absolutely have zero credibility - but I've also never claimed to have any. I'm also not claiming that I'm the be all, end all of game rankings, which is precisely why I say in the video that it's my opinion and opinions will differ. You don't like my rankings, I won't lose a second of sleep over it. Make your own, do your thing. I even provided a handy link in the pinned comment for you to do so.
But if you think for even half a second that nostalgia doesn't play a factor in these rankings or reviews of aged media from ANY creator on RUclips, you're mad. Nostalgia colors everything we do - we all peddle in our own brand of nostalgia. I can sit here and espouse the brilliance of Pearl Jam's 'Ten' and tell you how great of an album it is, because of precisely when in my life it landed. It hits harder because of the nostalgia. From a technical standpoint, 'Vitalogy' is a better album from top to bottom - the composition and production are better than 'Ten', the writing was better, hell - the packaging was even better! But 100 times out of 100, I'm picking 'Ten'.

International superstar soccer was probably the greatest soccer game on snes .. we call it football btw lol

Zombies ate my Neighbors is one of the best games on the SNES. I remember when I bought it, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. It was one of those games where the title alone was enough to grab my attention, and I am so glad it did. To this day it is one of my favorite games to go back to and play.

When you get the hang of Tiny Toons : Buster Busts Loose. This game is awesome. You have to invest some time in it though. Gorgeous an really fun controls. Anyway. A great video. I like your presentation style.

My first experience with prince of Persia was on a dos shell right before windows and this super nes version looks like it plays the same with a way better visual
Awesome video! Konami was such a great company. I have added Adventures of Batman & Robin and Sunset Riders to my wishlist. Absolutely loved their Ninja Turtles games. Recently found out that Tournament Fighters has different fighters in each version. Now I have to track down the other two versions. Darn my obsession with TMNT.

No nostalgia ranking this go, no - honestly, didn't do it this time just to cut down on video length. The pre-ranking tends to tank view time, so I wanted to try something different both with that being gone and cutting to me talking more for some variety. :)

Zombies Ate My Neighbors is a game a loved and tried really hard to beat, but always died sometime around the giant baby stage. lol And when you continue, you don’t keep any of your weapons, so it’s basically impossible to continue.
100% agreed - I run into the same gigantic baby shaped wall.
I bought my SNES late in its life (1995). Adven of Batman & Robin was the first game I rented! Try "Rocket Knight" on Genesis if you like Sparkster. And I had to buy a physical (Lmtd Run) of Zombies for Switch!! Great video!

Great picks not sure why people hate on SC4 because it’s the best of the series next to the original in my opinion m. Love sunset riders one of my all time favorites. Great video as always

I also love Super Castlevania. Somewhere between 2-4 on the all SNES list with all games bowing forever to Super Metroid. Alien Wars probably 2 for me. While I love Turtles in Time I prefer The Hyperstone Heist on Sega. Awesome video!
i would've changed positions between axelay and gradius, axelay has amazing sprites and zero framerate drops, one of the two best shmups in the snes, aaaand i would've gave cybernator an A, hahaa, great ranking btw.
Too bad metal warriors and batman & robin games are really expensive games nowadays, way beyond the limit i put myself when i started collecting.
Anyone giving you a hard time about SC4 and thinking Bloodlines is better....😂 They should give their heads a good shake. SC4 is the tye ultimate 16bit Castlevania.. Wonderful stuff

I have not played all of these, but out of those I've played I have to give Contra III and Super Castlevania IV an S tier, one hundred percent. Those are two games that just define what made the Super NES great in the early days: take a landmark NES franchise and crank that shit up to 11, Spinal Tap style. Maybe the S ranking that I give Contra III is sign that I'm a bit of a glutton for punishment... but what can ya do?
Also, I would rank Axelay, Dracula X, and Tournament Fighters each a rank higher - though the latter may be a nostalgia ranking truth be told as I haven't played it in quite some time. Axelay I only recently played for the first time - Wii U virtual console is not dead yet! - while Dracula X is one I initially wrote off, only to go back recently and appreciate it enough to consider it just above average.
I need to give Dracula X more time, because like I said there's some solid bones there, it just didn't click for me. But it's Castlevania - how can it NOT be fun?
@@SquarePegs if you get accustomed to SCIV initially, it can crush your soul at first in terms of control and challenge by comparison. So the lack of clicking is understandable.
Definitely love Konami and SNES had a lot of great games. Do more of these.

Good video i agree I like Super Castlevania. I give Anamantics a C I did finished it and the final boss was ok. I give Busta Bustin Loose a B it did feel like a Sonic the Hedgehog type game but I did enjoyed the final level with the star wars type music and the final boss with the comedy ending. Good review

Legit critique - it's one of those games that didn't connect with me when I first played it, but subsequent playthroughs have moved it up the rankings for me. :) It'd probably be a solid B now.

Eh, I stand by that is not as good as everyone claims. A D was probably hyperbolic and reactionary at the time - today, it'd probably get a C.The controls to me are terrible and honestly, that's not learning curve, that's just a poor implementation.
Buster's Hidden Treasure on the Genesis - to me - is a significantly better game than Busts Loose.

I think you need to try cybernator again like I did. It's supposed to feel heavy and dire like it does. The mechanical feeling of it you won't find in literally any other game except for assault suit leynos on the Saturn. Cybernator is an A and assault suit leynos is the S. I actually think that cybernator is kind of cooler in some ways to metal warriors, like you have the shield and the punch feels heavy and satisfying.
While I don't agree with you - I've gone back and played it again and I just find it to be decidedly average - I respect your opinion and passion for the game. Thanks for watching!

Yeah, Cybernator does have that weight and punch to it. But I also find it a bit too frustrating to control. And Metal Warriors has the two player arena!
Considering how Axelay, ISS, and Tournament Fighters also got a C, I figure a C is quality stuff!
Dracula X is honestly lower than C tier.
EDIT: Okay I shouldn't have commented so early. The placement of C fits considering the placements of the games relative to it. I really like the fact you put the Tiny Tunes and Animaniacs games low. There are people who REALLY overrate these games and think way too highly of them. Its fine to like them but come on, they don't represent the best of the best of the SNES.
Agreed! I just couldn't get into the Tiny Toons and Animaniacs games here. Now, Tiny Toons on the NES? That's S tier all the way. :)

I was a Genesis kid. I still am. My favorite console of all-time. I bleed Sega blue. And yes, I LOVE Bloodlines. LOVE IT!
But Super Castlevania IV is my favorite traditional 2D Castlevania game (eg - not a Metroidvania). Yes, even more than Rondo of Blood. I had both consoles growing up, and Super IV was one of the reasons I wanted a SNES.

Sparkster was a really good SNES game by Konami.
International Super Star Soccer Deluxe is a legendary and literally a cult game in every part of the world except USA and Canada. 😂😂😂

Tiny Toons gets a D ... yikes. Gotta hard disagree with that one. It's got one of the best soundtracks on the SNES, and once you get used to the dash mechanic it's a breezey platformer that you could beat in a sitting. It also captures the cartoon extremely well -- AND the mini games are (mostly) very fun. Perfect to come back to now and then. I'd give it a B if not a low A.

Prince of Persia is such a hard game to rank because the entire genre has completely disappeared. What do you even call this genre? "Hyper realistic animated platformer where you can only move in predetermined increments"? There's nothing modern to compare it to as far as I know and while it was fun back in the 80s and 90s I think anyone without the nostalgia factor would likely rate it a D or F. Great video as usual bud!
I think if I take all my nostalgia out of the equation, it would probably be a D. But it's so hard to take that out of the mix!

The NFL, Cybernator, Metal Warriors, and Prince of Persia games though are not true Konami games. I believe the NFL one was done by Park Place, who later on went on to make some of the Madden games. Cybernator is pretty much an NCS made game. Another one not from Konami that Konami put out, Zombies Ate My Neighbors, from Lucas Arts, and it's sequel, Ghoul Patrol, was not touched by Konami.
I do have to disagree with the line that the Genesis Batman and Robin game was better than the SNES one. First of all, the SNES game has proper music that sets up the dark atmosphere of the game perfectly, and would even fit into the show, the Genesis one sounds like Batman and Robin went to the club on a Friday or Saturday night to dance. The difficulty in the SNES version is also better balanced, the Genesis one, and you can tell it was done by a western studio (Clockwork Tortoise, and like a lot of other studios based in the western half of the world, they did not believe in difficulty curves, but cheap ass difficulty spikes), magazines back in the day, like EGM and Gamepro, complained about how cheap the game is in it's overall difficulty. Couple that with stages that drag on for far too long (4 stages, so they decided to do just that many, so they had to make them long to pad game time), and areas where you just take on what seems like endless hordes of enemies, and the game is NOT enjoyable at all.
The SNES one captures the spirit of the TV show perfectly.
Genesis Batman and Robin animations, specifically, was what I was referring to - apologies for the confusion there! I definitely kind of mashed thoughts together. :) I agree with you completely that the SNES version is a better game than the Genesis one - save for the animations. :)
And you're not wrong about the games in the first paragraph - but this is about published titles, not developed. If it had the Konami logo on the box, it gets included here.

This list is sort of biased. Zombies is more like a B. Same with Metal Warriors. The Tiny Toon games and Animaniacs are good, but they take time to get used to. But once you do, they’re excellent!

Buster Busts Loose is great but isn’t perfect where as Animaniacs is good, but the high difficulty and learning curve isn’t worth it for most people.
