    Both are impressive. I tend to lean towards the Fenix, too. In my way of life though, if I can't carry as an EDC, it will likely just sit there not really seeing use.

    Fenix has upgraded this to V2. I have that, and had the Marauder 2 - returned the Marauder after comparing. LR40R V2 has way better runtimes, at least on higher lumens, AND can have both flood and throw on at the same time. I have more Olights that Fenix lights, but this was a no brainer to return the Marauder 2.

    Marauder has longer sustainable output, higher overall quality materials. Olight customer service simply cannot be beat. They will treat you like gold. Based on that fact alone id rather go with a torch that has lifetime warranty & a company that will actually respond and back you for life in case of any issues. If you dont need a little throw along with the flood simultaneously then go with the marauder, you will not regret it!!!

    Hi from Katoomba Blue Mountains, I took the Marauder 2 to the mountains and I was so impressed however I think both would be useful in throw but I think it would be better to get another light that is dedicated to throw only, what is your recommendation on the most powerful throw only flashlight?

      There are plenty to choose from. Try an LEP or the Acebeam K75

    Missed opportunity that the Olight doesn't do flood and throw at the same time.

      They did the same with the Marauder mini as well. However, the mini is quite unique because it offers RGB colors and (at last) a round spotlight. There is a cheap competitor out there to both: the Sofirn IF30. It has the design of a Marauder with the rotary knob, it is of course of lower quality, but it combines flood with spotlight and it is much more affordable.

    How do these compare to the Acebeam W35?

    • @flashlightcrazy
      @flashlightcrazy  5 месяцев назад +1

      They are a little different in the flood area. Much more powerful in flood than the w35

      i'd say both (olight m2 and acebeam w35) are "brute force floods" but in different ways. the w35 is really cool, but that's probably the most inefficient possible means of producing a flood beam. for me, it's a toy and i think it's the best flashlight ever made (until the next cool one comes out), but it's not a practical tool in the same class as these lights. the olight m2 is the ultimate light for a man with a large property or something, it's a "bump in the night" light. you hear something, you walk out back, and the olight m2 will light up your entire massive property, and you just walk back inside and go to bed! lol

    the olight is not a LEP. that's an old style projector lens.
