    I will always say how impressed I am by the subcontractors that you have in your Rolodex (dating myself)! The craftsmanship, knowledge and skills they have are second to none. Your business, house builds, are head and shoulders above many others. There is a reason why you hire the best and there an equally good reason why the best want to work for you.
    Thank you for the walk-through, Brad.

    Back when i was wiring custom homes,i got discounts from mo./mo yr to yr purchasing history.i would show mtrl receipts to the contractor.most times i would just charge normal price.the difference would be part of profits.but if the costs pushed the envelope on the budget i would just agree to the discounted price.major change orders or addons the gloves come off..fun vid though.

    I always buy all material. Heck I buy the screws, nails and caulking. I make sure I have an extra set of tools and speciality blades in my truck. I dont want any execuse when a sub shows up.

    • @BradtheBuilder
      @BradtheBuilder  5 месяцев назад

      That’s a good point, but I’ve learned when you buy the materials there’s a bit of a backfire because the sub can create a lot of waste because they’re not paying for it

    Hi Brad I was wondering why when you’re flooding guys fit the LVP/ laminate flooring, they do not put down a membrane/ vapour layer on concrete floors and a under lay/ self levelling/ insulation board first like we do in the UK?

    Hey Brad, how does a commercial fit out compare to remodeling a home? Easier? Harder? Generally the same? Thanks!

    • @BradtheBuilder
      @BradtheBuilder  4 месяца назад +1

      I’ve done very little commercial. It’s different codes and different contractors than residential remodeling. They say commercial goes faster because there’s not a homeowner involved.

    Wondering who paid for the materials.
    You had said they get better deals than you do,so how do you get those deals if you have to take care of the bill?
    Not that it's my business just a thought😵‍💫.
