Grinding a Tree Stump in Front Yard

I hired a contractor to grind the stump left by my 33 year old plum tree that blew down in the January 2023 California high winds. Luckily, the tree fell perfectly parallel to the house, so there was no structural damage. The plum tree has relatively hard wood, but the grinding was uneventful. The contractor operated the Vermeer SC70TX stump cutter with a remote control. The cutter is specifically built for residential areas, with tracks that can be retracted and extended, and which is just 51" wide. This model weighs 3,900 lbs and has a 67 hp diesel engine.
