Congrats Iowa from a Michigan fan. I didn't think this team and program had it in them. I'm really happy for Bohannon I didn't think he was a championship level player but he proved me wrong. And Keegan Murray is a legit star. Enjoy and do well in the Big Dance!

Same here. I said after Iowa lost Garza to the NBA that they weren't going to be formidable. Yes, Bohanan is clutch. I believe that in big moments like against Indiana (when he shot lights out toward the end), he deserves a double team to take him outta the equation of players who's going to beat you.

@@avidadolares First of all you don’t know me, how old I am, what type of person I am or any of that so Idk why you insinuate that I “just heard that phrase and wanted to use it not knowing what it meant.” I’m a Blazer fan and we have two lotto picks in the upcoming draft. I’ve been following a lot of sites, RUclips channels etc about who we should pick and Murray’s name very rarely comes up. I hear a lot of ppl saying his skillset won’t translate and a lot of prospects with lesser resumés and skill sets getting far more respect than KM.
You could’ve just asked how I see it that way instead of coming off like a snobby little punk that wouldn’t even consider talking to a man like that face to face. Getting on RUclips on some disrespectful BS doesn’t make you s*** but weak.

@@Sooch694 It's ridic. Iowa was a 5 seed, wins 4 big 10 games in 4 days and wins the tourney...and is a 5 seed. This committee is known for ignoring the end of season conf tournament.

These guys were not fused yet early in the season, and had some really close losses. And then losing to Illinois by 2 with 40% free throw shooting. They are rolling, but could have been a 30 win team. I hope they go a long way.

My take....Fran usually pisses me off with his in game coaching, brilliant move playing little used bigs against Purdue! This Iowa team seems to have some sauce!
Fran got rid of his four best players from last year's team. Garza, Weeskam, Ninge and Frederick.
@@trhansen3244 ?? "Got rid"?? Garza graduated, playing in NBA. Wies took the leap, has an NBA contract. Nunge transferred to Xavier after the death of his father. Frederick changed his mind at the last minute and transferred to Kentucky where he has sat out the whole season w an injury.

How are turnovers still a problem with Purdue this late in the season. I mean my god 17 gd turnovers. It’s tournament time n Purdue still giving the ball away. No way this team makes it past the 1st or 2nd round playing like this. No freaking way. N Sasha put up 3 whopping points 🤦🏻♂️
Yeah Purdue could’ve easily beat us if we didn’t win the turnover battle by so much.

In the three games against Iowa this year Purdue has turned it over more than sixty times n have allowed nearly fifty points in three's!!!!! In conf. Champoinship Iowa scored thirty points alone on three's n caused seventeen turnovers, you won't even beat an Iowa junior varsity high school team with those stats. Here's a coaching tip STOP TURNING THE BALL OVER N GUARD THE ARC!!!!!
24 points on threes this game and only shot 28% which is a very bad shooting percentage for us. So I wouldn’t be complaining about the three point defense this game but they did turn it over a whole lot.
Iowa shoots a lot of threes so there is no surprise when they score so many point off them. Also it was a close game

I'm an Alumnus and this loss certainly hurt but we lost because of the turnovers. Iowa was the better team today. Congrats to them. Time to move on to the NCAA.

Congrats to Iowa, who happened to be my pick to win the Big 10 championship before it began. I also predicted Purdue would be runner-up. But I had the final score as Iowa 94 Purdue 91. Not too shabby, though. I'll be coming out with my NCAA Tournament picks tomorrow.

I've never rooted against purdue in my life, but I didn't want them to win this thing - I didn't want them to lose, I just didn't want them to win. You don't get a double bye, the 11 seed, and the 7 seed and then come into the B10 championship game thinking you've fixed yourself into a good team..... but this team thought that, I could tell from interviews. Every good player on this team thinks they are mr. Big stuff, because they have been overrated all year and told they are good. This team has been told they are great all year, but they got what they deserved, 3rd place in the B10 and their usual loss in the B10 tourney. We had our usual 20 tournovers which we never improved upon throughout the year. Iowa did everything right, we did everything wrong, and Iowa was just getting unlucky missing their shots while the officials tried to keep us in it. Unfortunately NCAA is going to laughably overrate us as a 2 seed, while the 3 teams that won the B10 conference/tournament get 3-6 seeds.... because it's all a joke, and they don't care about how good you are - they care about the perception. What's unbelievable is that we haven't covered the spread in the past EIGHT games! It was laughable seeing we were the favorites in this game. Although there's a couple players I like that fight such as Gillis, I'm very happy that Trevion and Sasha don't go out with any titles. Especially that Jaden didn't get anything - he's not a college winner - Although he played better than I expected, I guess he went ham for his draft stock. Not going to miss this team. I don't care how good we are, I just care that the guys want to win. I've been more proud of our 16-15 years than this team.
The NCAA tourney will be loaded with upsets (my prediction only). Look for only 2 of the 4 seeds to make it to the Final Four this year.

I guess Purdue forgot to tell the refs to give them 19 more free throws than their opponent. And how can you not win any part of the big ten when you have a 7-4 center on your team. Purdon't. So sad.

Iowa will not win the National Championship nor will it be in the Final Four, but it is a team you do not want to meet in the NCAA Tournament. Calm, poised, with veteran players.
