Arkansas has a lot of real good people living here that will help you with anything you need, then on the other hand, we have a whole lot of idiots, running loose.
Damn! That state has some extremely alert drivers! They all immediately stopped. In my area these clowns would keep on and would flip you off because they messed up.

Anyway, in my opinion, people didn't get out of the car to help clean the street as a 'courtesy gesture', but simply because they wanted to clear so they could pass themselves as soon as possible.

@@Visionery1 again, pay attention more closely, right before he stopped, there was one of the items next to the concrete divider just to his left when he got out, he then picked one of them up and sorta tossed it or rolled it toward the divider, and when he left you can see two of them there now, the video is very pixelated so it makes it hard to make out.
Someone I knew picked up about two pallets of spam that had fallen out of a truck from the back. I gess the roll-up door was open, and the pallets weren't strapped down 😊

That's a prototype of the M4J Highway Debris Spreader with even dispersal of objects across all lanes, including both emergency lanes. But seriously, at least it was easy to clean up and let traffic resume.
If this was in some places in 🇧🇷: 1) The drivers would stop, but soon they knew that are "safe to go" (to *their* cars) and that they can "trash"/"pass over" the cargo without harm to *their* cars, they would and 2) Some of them or nearby people, if the cargo has some value, they would steal from the road and, if possible, from the truck 😠
For this driver’s benefit, I hope those were job applications for a position that is not a driving job. He can run around the freeway collecting them to fill out in his free time. I’m sure he has a lot of free time now.

I did many a tarp jobs back in the day (1986-2018) and somehow never lost one. Somehow this one got loose on this guy. Skimping? Like the driver flying down the highway with a load of steel with unprotected nylon straps? Saw that quite a bit back in my day. Lack of attention to details? I once came out of Fili with 6 huge boulders on. Used 12 chains out of fifteen. 2 chains per boulder. I saw other drivers using only one chain on the boulders in the middle. Just plain stupid, careless and lazy.
I noticed the truck driver didn't do a thing to help. So many fantastic over the road drvers but being on the road we are seeing so many that just don't care.
Must have been NAILS to make all lanes stop. I worked next to an L.A. freeway for decades and can tell you that people would run over puppies and baby chicks before they'd take remedial action. Once the freeway came to a near standstill with cars creeping past something slowly. After 20 minutes I couldn't take it anymore and walked up there to see a flimsy plastic pickup bedliner in lanes. I held my hand out to stop the 2 right lanes and dragged it to the shoulder in 10 seconds. Big Rig drivers honked and flashed in gratitude and the freeway was shortly flowing 60MPH once more.
Back to 60mph in Los Angeles….? Hell, they change a flat tire at 60mph on the freeways in Los Angeles…, hahaha…, (that’s a line from an ole’ Johnny Carson opening monologue joke).
This is proof that it only takes a few good people who are willing to take action to solve the problem at hand.

I would of moved everything to the truck's side and made sure the lanes were blocked until completed (unless I couldn't move it fast enough)

Gotta ask yourself, when was the last time that Driver did a Load Securement Check. That might have prevented the Incident in the first place.😊

That's the first time I have seen motorists get out and clear FOD off of the roadway. I usually only do that when I'm on my bike.
