This was UHMAZING. Need a custom one for a breakfast bar in a wall that I have that faces the living room and I wanted to make a "faux" wall by covering it on the living rood side. Something along the lines of 2 42x48 pieces. THANK YOU. I have saved probably a hundred bucks with this idea.
I watch a lot of these DIY videos doing some of the same stuff but watching you is way funner! Love your devoted dogs, your humor, the musical inserts, and your realistic approach to these projects. Plus you have a helpful husband! What's not to love? Someday you should do a house tour showing all the DYIs you've done. Liked your videos so much I'm a new subscriber!
Just a heads up and tip: the added wire, I have used inthe past, and they rust and they almost made a full year before falling apart. Sidenote: im referring to exterior use. But also could use for inddor of course. But I since painted strips of it , to add more protection and esp/ the cut ends. Also if you can get thicker material, you will be happier for it. again, for indoor use, probably be just fine. Also used rope, but the thinner rope, which cant think of name right now, hahaha. Anyway, Props to our fearless author here. Bravo!
Great tutorial! Key word is faux; realized while watching that the hack isn't for functional roman shades. That would take a bit more work figuring out the threading for the pulley system
Lol, they’re exactly what im looking for. Just need something for decoration behind curtains.... She did a good job. Thats why the title says faux guys.
I was waiting to see what you would do to raise and lower the blinds but you did say "JUST for looks". DOES look good, just does nothing for shade or privacy purpose.

This is not my particular style, but I have to say the diy was genius and for only $35-ish it looks amazing.
Love it 😍
This would be great for my bathroom window. It is froafed glass so shades would only be for looks. Great idea! Thanks for sharing this ❤
Does it come down? I’ve never seen a Roman window shade before.🤔
Sabrina Sayre this ones definitely a faux one, but roman shades usually do! they fold like pleats
Shit

Are those the fitted sheets as your curtains?
The bamboos were broken and uneven ..are these new.. 24 dollars from home depot sounds expensive ...but you did a great job
So these so-called shades don't actually unfold to provide said shade?
Yeah I was looking for ones that I could use for covering the window when needed. This one doesn't. I'll keep looking.

She did a good job.
Thats why the title says faux guys.
Then go and pay $150 for functionality. This is a cheap way of creating an expensive look.
@@paeroa6833 I was just looking for a shade. Sorry.
Good job girl!!! 🙄🙄🙄
Genius idea! Thank You for sharing.x
What in the ham sandwich ?! This is genius.
Should have made it longer so the light would shine thru a little bit.
Love it!
