The Lazy Cow Way to Make Your Bed (and start the day)

- I like to keep my household chores as simple as possible, and making the bed is a task that I have simplified down to practically no time! Spoiler alert - I "make" the bed while I am still in it. Since I don't have any extra pillows on it, or a top sheet to mess around with, I can make the bed in about 20 seconds.

I will suggest to air out your mattress, blankets, and pillows before making the bed to be more hygienic! Never make your bed as soon as getting up :)
Totally agree. Flip duvet back, open windows, go and have coffee then make the bed.
I do the same thing!
Remove duvet and bedspread, smooth bottom sheet and fluff up pillows, then go and have a shower. When you return , finish making your bed. It is fresh then!
LOL!! That's just not who I am as a person. Plus if I don't make it the second I get up it won't get made at all. That's how I've been doing it for decades and it has worked fine for me.

Completely agree! I have a very simple bed set up too and actually love making my bed. I have always made my bed as soon as I get up since I can remember. Just helps you start your day on the right foot!

Gina, this was SO much fun. I think where I’m going wrong with my bed set up is my bedspread goes OVER my sleeping pillow when I’m making the bed then the decorative pillows on top. Your set up is so much simpler! Keep this content coming. I’m really enjoying it.

Love this, and love your channel name! Work smarter, not harder. I share a room with my grown daughter, but not a bed. But usually I'm up first, and don't want to turn on the light and wake her, so usually she makes the bed. But when she's up first this is EXACTLY how I make my bed, lol. I subscribed and look forward to learning new ways to work smarter.

Gina. Best new channel ever. I do something similar before I get out of bed. (I’m 70, my spouse deceased several years ago so I’m sleeping alone) I reach over and smooth out the opposite side too, tucking the comforter under the pillows and slide out my side then smoothing and tucking mine. Magic! A made bed can make even the messiest room look clean because it’s the largest object in there. Keep up with your content that brings a smile to our faces. ☺️ Thanks! Enjoy your day.
Awwww thanks so much for the nice words and encouragement! I really appreciate it. I also really like the look of a made bed - it makes such a difference. My house isn’t always the cleanest, but at least the bed is made.

That was easy. Im not a bed minimalist...i like the hotel style bed with a flat sheet, a cozy warm inner blanket or throw then the comforter. Thank you for sharing your lazy strategy...it is something to consider...👏🏽💡🙌🏽

I stopped using a top sheet over 20 yrs ago. My feet were always getting tangled up in it and eventually it would get mushed down at the end of my bed. I use a down comforter or coverlet on top. Bed making takes seconds and washing fitted sheet and coverlet is just as easy.

That is quick! It takes me a bit longer. But I do not mind, it is kind of meditative.
Fastest speed for me has been 5min.,(straighten here, fluff here, tuck there and there takes awhile 😅). Now that you mention it, I see why I don't mind either - it does feel meditative.

Is that a double bed size? The reason I ask is b/c my husband and I sleep in a double bed and everyone is like 'how??" ...they have king size beds...We've been married 56 years and we are as close to each other as we can get in the bed. We've slept in larger beds away from home but it's like being in the ocean and trying to find each other, lol.
