The thing I hate about the movie industry is they only know how to tell one story about injustice. It's a story about racism. They came out with a million shows and documentaries every year that tells that same exact story. It's like the only way they can portray injustice is through a racial lens. Race is everything to them.
True, its sad because the real world has such a vast number of interesting stories. And one of the first things I realized when I started 'living' in the world, is that: there are rich assholes, there are rich wonderful people. There are poor assholes, there are poor wonderful people. There are wonderful people that sometimes act as assholes, there are assholes that sometimes act like wonderful people. But it is simply IMPOSSIBLE to find a movie where a rich guy helps a poor guy and poor guy stabs him in the back, for instance.
My goodness, Mr Klévən is presenting on a day other than Friday. This is a big week, indeed. It may be true there are no E's in Klévən but there needn't be any A's. Cheers, sir, and God Bless
If these words don't have any relevance to the conversation then all our efforts to get back to truth are going to be ineffective. Bible Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.
"Why are we in a culture not producing more Bob Dylans, etc."? Because the gatekeepers won't allow it. Their egos make it impossible for meritocracy to exist because they believe they are there not to find and pass on good material, but only material they like, As a writer, I feel as though intake editors are all part-time, unpaid Vassar undergrads who grew up on Sex in the City and now believe they're living the Carrie Bradshaw life. "I'm young and smart and pretty and I keep a journal and I work in publishing!" I write supernatural thrillers with a male protagonist. That editor is not my audience, but she holds the power of life or death over its prospects. I also agree about the New Books sections in stores. Near me, a B&N has a section for new releases--the nice ones, hardcover, beautiful art, great packaging--and 80-90% are written by women, usually about a 'powerful journey' or 'an emotional family study'. You want to get people, especially men, reading? Give them something they like! Of course that's my stuff.
It's not irresponsible journalism, it's professional propagandizing.
MSM has been propagandizing exponentially for at least 40 years.
This interview reveals exactly what's wrong with the media. An excellent deep dive from real experts that have been there! Awesome!
Mark is a great guest. So enjoyed listening to you both. Please have him on again.
More Klavan-y goodness.
Excellent.
Thanks for bringing this interview to us, Andrew!
I was a reporter in the 1960s. A source that could not be named could not be used in a news story. Not at all. Not ever.
So what changed? The Pentagon Papers? Watergate? Please let us know some details…

Thanks Drew! You’re a real patriot!
Everyone knew about Biden condition, except for George Clooney AND Alejandro Mayorkas.
No I don't know.
If Steven Spielburg made our last 6 yrs into a Netflix series,
it would make Pulp Fiction look like Dry Bar comedy.

Great interview.
Count how many times “you know” is said during this interview. I lost count at 4,000
He says "you know" more than Obama says "uuuhhh." It's an annoying verbal tic.
3:38 we're all flawed, but Trump is one tough SOB

There are interviews mid-week
Yeah. We are saved from Klavanlessness on Wednesdays for interviews.
25:25 Colbert is left night media
Thank you Mark! Taylor Swift isn't Bob Dylan, which is fine. But bringing that up makes people go absolutely apesh*t. It's crazy.
I tried y'know to watch this but y'know I couldn't get past y'know this guy's speaking style, you know?
Waiting number 4
