Baron, when you fired the minigun, the recoil was very high and the platform couldn't withstand the force and blew itself up. Just replace the wood with metal and it should hold itself well when you fire the minigun.

Honestly after watching incursus for so long seeing this gameplay makes me want to crawl into a corner and cry at the inefficiency.
I know Baron isn’t that kind of player but still I can’t help that feeling.

Barron. Have you ever tried From the Depths? It’s sort of similar to the game you were describing that you wanted to play in my opinion. It’s a great game but I’m not sure how well it fits with the content that normally goes up on the channel
FTD is a great game but requires a huge time commitment so it might not be possible.

To answer your question about what ship, I think it's based off of an older battle ship called the USS Brooklyn, my best guess as to why the top looks strange is that they are supposed to be antenna.
The brooklyn was a light cruiser so I think it's uss Arizona and Nevada

You need to cross brace your base for the BFC line. You actually have to much flex in the base where it needs to be rigid to work.
Also the game you were describing while playing this (Forts 2.0) really sounded like 'From the Depths'
I'd totally suggest trying it out.
I think a big robot Fort (think how the AT ATs where like) vs a military base, a few tanks, jeeps etc would be a cool map idea
FYI Baron. For the BFCs, regular wooden supports are 100% unable to support the weapons. You need to reinforce the platform you'll be using with metal.
