The Chargers are more likely to go 4-13 than 13-4. They don’t have the skill position talent and are relying on some old defensive players some of which struggle with health. Harbaugh is good but that’s nuts. Haha! They won 5 games last season and winning 7 or 8 games would be a major success given the lack of talent on the team.
13-4 is hilarious. Herbert is not Mahomes. Even if Bobby believes they got better elsewhere, that collection of WRs would never allow a 2024 NFL team to get lifted to 13-4 without Mahomes on the roster. The running game will probably be good, not exceptional. If that whole RB room isn't in the hospital by week 8, they will be solid but not great. Oh and like you said, the defense is cheeks.
Here is a fun note mentioned on local sports radio last week. The Bears finished with a 60+ point differential in the preseason, which is the 7th team to do that since 2009. The previous 6 teams all made the playoffs with 2 making the Super Bowl.
Bobby having the Chargers that high is legit just fan service. Even if you think they will be good, 11-6 or 10-7 is much more reasonable (For example: losing both divisional games to Chiefs, splitting the others. Also 2 or 3 L's against CLE, ATL, CIN, BLT, Tampa outside of the division; my prediction for them is 9-8). The division tends to eat itself a lot, even the mighty Chiefs lost to both the Broncos and Raiders last year. The belief in Harbaugh is not crazy, but this might be the least talent hes ever had to start. If that whole RB room isn't in the hospital by week 8, they will be solid but not great. The WR room and defense(small d) are the worst parts. Even if you believe they got better elsewhere, that collection of WRs would never allow a 2024 NFL team to get to 13-4 without Patrick Mahomes on the roster. Herbert is not Mahomes, and is not yet good enough to lift these WRs to 13-4 without an exceptional run game. It'll be good, not exceptional. The offensive scheme, coach, and QB are good, but the talent is not enough. 13-4 or 12-5 is just not gonna happen, but even 9-8 should be a W.
I'm happy to see how high you all are on the bills! My question for the mailbag: There are 4 team who have never played in a Superbowl (Browns, Jags, Lions, Texans), assuming none of them make the Superbowl this year, which team do you think will do it first?
How bad does Cleveland need to perform to finally be done with Deshaun Watson? Can anything get in the way of Kansas City having another dominant year?
Is Justin Herbert the best QB people rarely talk about? Will he have a Rivers type of career with the stats and accolades but ultimately be held back because of organizational failures?
Mail-Bag: I noticed none of you guys had any 9-8 teams in the playoffs. Looking back at last year where a bunch of 9-8 teams were in the running for wild card spots on both sides (including the Saints, who dat). Do you guys agree with your prediction that 9-8 won’t be good enough to make the playoffs this year?
Somebody is smoking some serious shit having the Chargers winning 13 I dont have the chiefs winning 13 and Raiders winning 5 wow dude Chargers max is 8 games 3rd place written all over it!!!
Bobby is my guy but seriously there is no way that the Dolphins go 7-10 this year. Alright Bobby is on something today thinking that the Chargers are gonna go 13-4 this season.
Eagles having 4 easy wins in the commanders and giants is crazy. Have you seen what the commanders have done to the eagles the past two years? Left hand up stop playin

Packers beat the Lions to go to the bowl and beat the Chiefs. Fuck the three peat As far as the Chargers Bobby went wild all the way in there. I'm not that far because they need more talent but I expect them to be an 8 to 11 win team. Having them beat Houston is bold but I would expect them to have some success running against that front
Having the Ravens that low is kinda nuts to me and I have the Jags 2nd in the AFCS, barely above the Colts. I have the Commanders over the Giants, flipping their records compared to yours. I'd argue for a few more wins for the Cardinals (I have them splitting their division games and winning 5 of 10 out of division), I really think the whole NFCW could be above .500 this year. Everything else seems pretty damn close to what mine would be though! Nice.
@wardenxenon I just expect a down year from Baltimore. I would say I ended up on the low end of what I expect which is 8 to 10 wins most likely. I don't see how anyone could justify Commanders over Giants, roster talent is not close imo
@@rjharrold2907Wheres the expectation coming for the down year though? I feel like they pretty much only upgraded on one of the best rosters in NFL already, while Cincy has gotten worse except O-line. How do you defend that offense in Baltimore?? Best offensive linemen are Cosmi and Biadasz who are just starting level guys and the rest are all below average at best. Wr core is Terry McLaurin vs the world. Giants have a clear better roster and coaching staff, only area of the roster you could say is worse is runningback, qb, te, maybe safety, and then IDL just because of depth
@@wardenxenon Baltimore's OL is a huge question with Stanley being up and down, two new starting guards who are young, and a rookie right tackle 3rd rounder. You do have to rush Lamar a certain way but still. Henry is scary but it might be a weird fit with how they want to run offense. Could be a great fit though at the same time with early OZ and Lamar off of that. Biggest part is they lost the best young DC in the NFL, and two position coaches below him. @@godsunknicks2832 I don't get why people are so high on the Jets again. Is this not essentially the same team as last year, but with a different QB? Not sure how a 40+ play caller coming off of an Achilles tear can take a team from losing to Mac Jones' Patriots to a becoming a division winner

The 2008 Lions went 4-0 and had a +49 differential in the preseason and the 2017 Browns went 4-0 with a +39 differential, preseason means nothing.
Well I hope so they played their starters half the time against 3rd stringers
I definitely liked that Bobby stuck to his guns on the lions and chargers. Bold but not outlandish.
Justin & Bobby have a team in the Super Bowl (Winning, by Bobby's tally) that Chris doesn't even have in the playoffs. Crazy.
