    I plant these left over stems of mint in pot. It grows so well that since the lock down 1 I don't need to buy. I planted it in cooking oil can and waste plastic jars found while cleaning the junk. Thanks for sharing the tips. Good luck. Hope yo have many more videos from your end 👍

    I read in a different website that I need to allow air to circulate: "Wrap the mint leaves gently in a dampened paper towel. Place the mint in a plastic bag, not sealing all the way so that air can circulate. Do not wrap tightly; trapped moisture will cause the herbs to mold."

      2. You don't have to wash every single time separately you need mint.

    Really loved this video. I perfectly followed your instructions, for cleaning and storing the latest bunch of pudina that I bought. Also cut the bottom of many of the good stems and put them in transparent bottle /jar of water, and as you rightly said, new baby leaves have just started to sprout now from some of the stems. Such a delight watching that! :-) Wanted to ask you for how long will new leaves keep sprouting from the stems (assuming we pluck the leaves for regular use periodically). Also wanted to ask if the same idea of putting cut stems for re-growth would work for other leafy plants like coriander and curry leaves etc... Please do guide regarding both these points. By the way, I checked out some of your other videos as well, and needless to say, I've already subscribed to your channel for more updates & future Videos! Good luck, God Bless! :-)

      The mint leaves will keep coming as long as you change the water every day and it receives some sort of indirect sunlight🌿
      With coriander leaves you cannot do that but do check out my video on how to store coriander leaves I have mentioned how you can grow coriander at home.
      With curry leaves you can take a stem of of the curry leaf, remove all the leaves and the diameter of the stem should be around the diameter of pencil. Also stem should be brown in colour and not Green.
      Just trim the end of curry leaf stem apply some turmeric powder and put it in soil.
      The curry leaf will start coming into two and a half months.

    • @krishnangopalakrishnan2706

      @@CreativeCookingbyDrKajal Thanks a lot for the guidance on coriander and curry leaves. I did watch your video on coriander. Will try getting the seeds and sowing them. Have already kept two good brown stems of curry leaves plant ready, after using the leaves. Have to arrange for soil and attempt planting them, after applying turmeric, as you said. The mint leaves are growing beautifully from each of the stems! I'm enjoying the simple pleasure of watching the baby leaves grow, and newer ones coming on... :-) Religiously changing the water everyday!

    • @CreativeCookingbyDrKajal
      @CreativeCookingbyDrKajal  4 года назад

      @@krishnangopalakrishnan2706 thats good 🌿 when u plant curry stem just scrape off a bit outer covering of brown stem approx 1 to 2 inches... apply turmeric powder and then put it in soil. It will take 2 months or more for a leaf to come.. put be patient ... also keep the soil dry.. occasionally water it.
