The C5 Lingenfelter 427 Twin-Turbo Z06 is _thee_ fastest vehicle I have ever experienced in my life! It has conquered the best that Porsche, Lambo, Ferrari and even an older Pagani Zonda could bring to the track. Some were stock while others were heavily modded. _All_ of them lost to that Lingenfelter. In fact, Dave had his shop *_detune_* his motor down to approximately 1000hp. Yet he still spun the tires in every gear at any speed. That motor possesses some tremendous power! Not to mention, the rear tires only had thirteen inches of space between the two. I had never seen such HUGE custom meats on a Corvette outside of a Goodguys Rod & Custom show and none of them were driven daily! Truly a remarkable piece of mechanical prowess. Stay classy my friends. *EDITED for grammar.
Thanks for doing this video. Appears that the Lingenfelter Magnuson kit provides a nice step up in HP and Torque over the Stage 2 Procharger earlier and through most of the power band from 2500RPM through 5000RPM at which point we start to see the Procharger Stage 2 slightly exceed the Magnuson in torque at 5,500. In HP the Magnuson exceeds the Stage 2 Procharger through much of the power band until 5500 RPM with the Magnuson getting up to 604HP at 6200 RPM and the Procharger Stage 2 getting 639HP at 6200. Question is whether that slight difference is felt and worth the extra cost for the Lingenfelter kit. Hopefully you are able to do a comparison video soon!
The car is no longer in our possession to test that data point. In the future when we get another build, if the owner is okay with it, we will try to get that information.
NICE! I think it's funny that Magnuson makes a kit for a frikin Toyota Tundra but nothing for the Dodge Durango RT, SRT platform. I hate that I'm forced to buy a Whipple (not that I think they're bad) it's just nice to have several options including pricing. Good video, thanks! 🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
Yes the drivetrain is able to handle everything perfectly fine. If you want the extra warranty, axles are part of the required list. From our testing the clutches didn't have any issues and we strongly back Lingenfelter's testing. They wouldn't have released a kit that wouldn't be reliable. - Justin
Both kits are great options! We have a Procharger breakdown coming soon as well as a comparison video on the two kits. Hopefully after you watch those videos we can help out with your needs. How often do you need to service the bearings in the supercharger? Also is there a failsafe for if the supercharger water pump stops working or a limp mode if charge air temps get too hot. On my c7z came factory with a limp mode that saved my engine many times thing overheated so much when I tracked it
Adding ridiculously expensive mods vs just buying a factory engineered version (Z06 or ZR1) that was already engineered to outperform the entry level stingray when the higher performance versions carry a factory warranty is dumb….by the time you supercharge, add proper exhaust pipes, headers, stronger drive shaft, different tires, better brakes, etc., you’ll be 50K into it and you will never recoup costs vs. just buying a better Z06 or ZR1 car to begin with - not to mention maintenance or warranty or insurance problems associated with changing all these parts to make a race car version of what you started with….I wouldn’t do it. Happy with my stock 3LT convertible… and yes I tracked at the Corvette driving school….but you don’t drive like that on the street w/o risking disaster….I see it as a waste. Just buy what you want in the first place and be happy with it!
I don't believe so, see 2:05 The issue is its a stupid engine with 1 cam shaft! In 2024 WTF?? Hence Z06 ditches it and has so much more power from a smaller engine
Maybe the Lingenfelter Magnuson TVS2650 on the C8 Corvette Stingray LT2 would be better off being the Lingenfelter Magnuson TVS-X3100 Supercharger package, then it would likely blow away those at Paragon Performance even more. Eaton develop and announce this TVS-X3100 Supercharger of theirs, quite some time ago now, YET where is it???? Hello Eaton!!!, where is your TVS-X3100 Supercharger??? Have you forgotten you have ever developed it?? WHY have Magnuson, one of Eaton's 5 official aftermarket partners not brought out on the open market a Magnuson TVS-X3100?????, with the Ligenfelter grifters thereafter going on obtain some and to OVERCHARGE for that particular product as they always have with all of their other offerings? Baffling to me why Eaton would spend all that time, effort and money in developing a superior performance Supercharger only to SIT ON IT like a Hen on an egg trying to hatch it out. Just don't get it.
@@ParagonPerformance wide body kit wheels and tires, aero. To equal a Z since you are fairly comparing them and you are well over 114k. JS apples to apples if you want to compare everything a z brings to the table
Low balling aren't ya, not very many buy 1LT due to package restraints. My car was 90k 3LT plus 25k which there is always hidden costs plus tax. Z06 is more expensive no matter what but these kits are ridiculous.
Mods are way too expensive on this cars , defeats the purpose of buying the base model when ur spending 30k plus just to get z06 numbers . The z06 name plate would hold the value and in this case sounds amazing and unique compare to a base c8. Bolt ons on a z06 are making 600rwhp .
Hard to spend 30k for a piece that fits in a relatively small box compared to being able to buy a mint Supercharger 04 C5 with low miles. These add ons are absolutely ridiculous in price.
@ParagonPerformance I have a Supercharger on my 04 C5 and it does help and is fun but come on guys 25k to 30k is a SHITLOAD OF $$ compared to being able to buy a very nice C5 with a blower like mine, a Restomod LS3 C3 like I also have. These bolt on performance mods are absolutely ridiculous as far as price goes just like these rolling chassis for 25k to 30k. Like I said before as long as guys spend it you guys will take their money and I don't blame you. I will wait till the fad slows down.
Great video, Paragon Performance! Thanks for giving everyone a great overview of the dyno testing results and breaking down the powerband!

What about upgrading the cooling? The supercharger in the C7 Z06 created huge cooling issues when tracking the car.
No issues with cooling! The system has a large tank & includes an additional heat exchanger.
Do you need forged internals with this or can you leave the internals stock?
We have not upgraded any internals with any builds we've done at this time.

Will this system push the C8 over 200 mph; what is the top speed?
Not tested so we can't answer that.
Does this void the GM warranty on the car?
This will void the GM warranty however there is an option to purchase a 3rd party warranty for the powertrain.

Does it fit on a C8 convertible?

Could this be added onto an eray???? Very curious

Correct 91 octane will not provide as much power.

Maybe we should install a ETS Twin Turbo Kit on a car?
