*UPDATE* It's been one day and the result of the proposal I sent in this video is........I got the interview. No surprise really. YOU Focused proposals work, and they work really well!
BAM! I changed up my proposals to add the techniques explained in this video along with techniques from the Trigger Words video and I pulled in a sweet gig within 2 hours of submitting the proposal. It was against the odds too, although my professional experience likely helped, my proposal would have been placed in the folder that didn't fall within their Preferred Qualifications. I usually just skip those. I so new to the platform my Job Success Score and Rising Talent Status isn't available yet. I got a chance a bat, now I just need to knock it out of the park!! Thanks Lex!
Very informative! Thank you! I’m not jumping right in. For now, I’m watching your videos and similar videos for freelance writers. I’m a teacher and I hope to learn what I can so I can really jump in with well-written proposals that will get me some jobs starting with summer break!
Dude, I tried this to the T and I kid you not! I just got two responses back after sending out just three proposals. Thank you so SO much for this method! This will help me a lot, I have only been able to land 1 response a week prior to trying this. Much appreciated! :)
Would adding graphic design and seo services to my Upwork profile help since they say there's too many website developers/designers. I find local clients are looking for all the services by one person/company
You can always add it to your bio or other experiences. I wouldn't put it in your title though. It will hurt your SEO rank and will make you look like someone who doesn't specialize which can cause some clients to pass you over.
Then you wouldn't want to apply to that job because it would be clear you can't help them basednon their requests, although you could always just send something else you've worked on
@@lexdevillefreelancing okay thanks. I recently met up with a heating and cooling website client asking for similar sites I've done but I only have agency and restauraunt sites. I sent them a great demo of a heating & cooling site with project proposal/outline, they thought it was already an existing site because its a theme with demo content since they want it within a week and I told them it can be fully customized, just waiting to hear back
This video is a walkthrough as I create an Upwork Proposal from scratch using my YOU Focused method. There's also a link in the video and in the description if you'd like to see some more proposals I wrote that got responses. Be sure to check that out if you want!
@@Methamill Ah got you. I basically use a headline for every proposal. The only time I don't use a headline is when a client invites me. For everything else, I use a headline.
It was just to capture more attention. It is not necessary and it will depend on the client if they are in to what you're referencing to which you wouldn't probably know unless they include it in the job post that for example, they are in to star wars.

Congrats!
Love from 🇵🇰♥️
I followed your advice and I legit got a response from 6 out of 8 proposals I sent and got hired for 5 of them.
Keep that up and haters'll be knocking down your door for listening to my guru advice haha

How do you go from free lancer and shift into building an agency??
why not showing this potential client some samples of your quality work by attaching them in your proposal?
What if you don't have past client projects when they ask for one similar

@@wintereh4818 hey man, did you land the job?
Just want to let you know that your link to "View My Upwork Proposals that Worked" is not working correctly.
Tested it and it worked fine for me just now.
Does it show you an error message?
Should be working now. :)
@@lexdevillefreelancing Its not working
Apparently, I have no work experience and, as a beginner should I say I worked for someone?
You should say something that will make you too good to ignore, without lying. If you lie to the client, you will lose big time in the end.
@@lexdevillefreelancing Can you provide a small clue about how a beginner should approach?
@@sreeharivenat8002 there's like 200 videos on this channel about that, or I have courses on Udemy if you want to go deeper with the training. :)
But no, I won't write your proposal for you.
@@lexdevillefreelancing I didn't ask you write one for me 🙄

What are flags to use a headline?
Hey Methamill, I don't understand what you're asking.
Hey lex, got a response today, using cheat words. I m asking how do you decide when to use a headline.
@@Methamill Ah got you. I basically use a headline for every proposal. The only time I don't use a headline is when a client invites me. For everything else, I use a headline.
I dnt know if you still reply but have sent out 56 proposal but no reply yet and I have used all your advice...
View my UPWORK proposal that work link is not working :(
Yes, the video is from 2019, so the link is old now. I plan to make new Upwork proposal videos soon. :)
Please i need clarification on "the one" part.

In short if you haven't work on shark tank you are not gonna be hired
