I really enjoy your new setup. It gives off a workshop feel.
Well to be fair it is my workshop
he should have wayyyyyyyyyyyyy more subs
you're asking too much of the pen community lol , especially fountain pens, not many people know them.
@@robertoh.20 a fountain pen comunity can make long life freinds he should get more subs why did you even go here?? To just make a fight do you even have a fountain pen???
@@bulletstothebeat1768 ummmm he's not even being rude, why are u acting as if they just insulted the community. It's just pretty niche. If he made videos on another mainstream thing with RUclips users he could have more subs, like videogames.
It honestly looks like a rebadged Jinhao 992 but with a metal grip section. Nice!
I'll take it! lol I absolutely love mine. It's the one I choose most to use.
Once you used a fountain pen, you never go back to ball pens. For me , at least.
My poor wallet sends you a warning haha it is so addictive
Yeah, just 3 weeks and have already seen the effect
Digging the workshop vibe! Can you swap the nib out for something like a Knox? Agree about the metal grip... I usually scuff mine up with a magic eraser or grit paper just to make it more comfortable to hold.
I find bent nibs are more adaptable to different surfaces. I can use them on rough sketch paper, for instance. Your pen has a more pronounced length to the tip, which looks great, like a mini-architecture nib.
Good for you, you’ve gotten a long way. Do you still have the pen tattoo? I love the new moon, one of my top favorites! Looks like a good finish too.
*checks foot* yep
Could you also review Delike Crescent fountain pen? Thank you!
I like the background Josh. Like the New Moon too...
Good video. Background depends on the demographic you're aiming to achieve. Workshop feel would appeal more towards DIY types; whereas your previous gentle backgrounds are generally a different group.
Personally i like version 2 the most. I think thin metal band at the end of the section makes it more interesting than full plastic of version 1 and more subtle than bling-bling of version 3. I ordered V2 over a month ago but due to the virus outbreak it wasn't shipped until recently. I hope it will be worth the wait :)
Lol I have the same issue with the 'greasy' fingers and slipping. I ended up buying a cheap Chinese pen recently that has a rough brush finish thing going on an some small channels on the grip section that stop the slippery problem.
good stuff as always. background really doesn't matter much its fine. but can you please slightly increase the FOV when showing writing sample? is it possible? although i don't know how other viewers would prefer it, so its okay if its not possible.
Great review. I have the same pen and I highly recommend the plastic model over the metal one. The plastic one doesn't have the posting issue the metal one does, and the grip section isn't slippery, etc.
I just left a comment on another video and mentioned Delike mini fude pens. Of course you know about Delike. What do you do in your workshop?
I love that colour actually, just curious witch one is that?
check out these pens
1. fountain pen revolution (flex and ultra flex)
2. waterman expert fountain pen
3. parker urban premium
Hi, do you know what other nibs would fit into this pen? Thanks
amazing stuff
I have one of Josh's new pens on the way To me in Pennsylvania Can't wait Support artists where ever the are PEACE
Thankyou gene, I hope you like it when it arrives, it really means a lot
I'm background - agnostic, but the desk lamp was really bright and kind of over blew my screen in that area.
Thanks for the review . I do have one of these in exactly the same colour , mine came with a convertor . I found the nib to be slightly dry and needed some tuning although it would have been usable without tuning it was smooth just slightly dry. Overall I liked the pen ,although i think the original new moon was a better pen, this one is decent for the price.
If you are someone with large hands though posting might be an issue.
Review the Monteverde innova fountain pen!!
Nice pen, nice review!
(Is that an espresso machine behind you ?)
Nah those are my metal lathes lol
You should review muji aluminium fountain pen next
Thanks for your sharing!
EF 0.88 mm: what does it mean?
Frank Vars it’s actually 0.38 and refers to the width of the tipping.
Hi JPL,
Golden content as always!
I recently used a TWSBI eco, and a Lamy Vista, both with medium nibs, but both of the pens felt scratchy. Can you recommend a fountain pen that isn't too expensive that is less scratchy?
Thanks, and keep it up!
Mustafa Cetin not Josh, but I would try either a Pilot Metropolitan or Kakuno, or a Diplomat Magnum. Both companies have decent nib QC. If you have a pen store in your area, go in and try them!
@@paradoxmo I've heard positive things about the Pilot Metropolitan. The Diplomat Magnum looks gorgeous! Thanks, I'll look into those!
if you hold your pens at an angle why not get an oblique nib?
Like I said in the video, most normal nib pens have enough flexibility in the nib tipping to allow for the angle that I hold my pen at without any issues. I would love to get an oblique nib one day but they are usually suited to high end pens. For the moment my focus is on Chinese pens because they are what excite me the most.
I liked the brighter room. Maybe just more light? Nice otherwise!
If you want to know the proper pronunciation of Delike, just copy paste the chinese word into google translate 得力克
Certainly an interesting pen but not one for me at the moment. My writing is nowhere near good enough, correct enough or accurate enough to take advantage of that nib.
First Yes!!! I just own a parker pen and Lamy safari
I'm early!
