45:00 Fran here literally emphasizing the problem that 99% of new Destiny players have. Not paying attention and just randomly clicking on things without reading.
1:19:50 you can still pull any gear that did not have a random role out of your collections. So you can pull an old revoke her, or any of the year one/some of the two weapons, any of the pinnacle or pursuit weapons, etc… so not as dire as a lot of people are making it out to be. It’s still stings, but there’s a lot of stuff you can just pull out of collections if you want to play with it.
The biggest issue with power is that it confuses new players. In a typical RPG, a weapon with a higher number usually means more damage. With the way weapons work in this game, I want players to pay attention to the perks not the number. I think if power was universal and character based not item based the system could stay and work a lot better. For new players, what I have observed, is that randomly distributed power upgrades are frustrating and confusing. It’s also frustrating and confusing for them as a vet when I say, power doesn’t matter here. Okay now it matters. There is just no purpose in actively confusing people. Infusion only exists because the randomly distributed power thing didn’t work and it just stuck around as a perpetual bandaid. Other RPGs don’t do infusion. Clear indicator these things don’t vibe with Destiny being a shooter.
52:55 I think it would’ve been cool if they had given a Dodge to hunters, Icarus Dash to warlocks and thrusters to Titans, since movement is such a big part of the gameplay in Destiny. However, from a realistic standpoint, I am guessing it was an all abilities or no abilities situation.
1:16:05 to avoid all this angst, they should’ve just said that Sunset weapons can no longer be equipped, or just you can’t equip them when you’re in a fire team power level situation. Some people are steamy about this…
1:10:10 but all vendor menus drop at three below your power, so you could immediately go to ADA or anther vendor and pick up a full set of armor 3 below.
I feel like this EP was a looooong time before they actually got to the destiny talk. I was just about to close out . Cause I realized how long I had been listening and all I was getting was hot gossip and what not. Then I heard the San Francisco comment. " I'm actually from the Bay area" so I enjoyed that.did not know Fran was from SF . Interesting you guys have no idea how bad the crime and homeless problem is. Your lucky you made it out alive 😂 ya boy down played the city I could sent you 5 news videos right now about SF and you would be like WTF. The Bay area has gotten really bad in the last 4 years murders and car jacking every other day . People following you home and rob and car jack you. If your out shopping or just going about your day. There is an app you can pull up that shows you all the shit in and around the city. I guess from homeless people or that random people have seen and updated. I think it works for all city's idk. San Francisco has the worst streets the maps shows the streets are just cover with shhh. I'm glad you guys made it back safe. Fran is desensitized 🤨 or he just a straight up gangsta. I'm A rather tall black male, and I have not been to S.F let alone that area in years. To much chance on getting robbed stabbed , or just having human poop 💩 thrown at you.
58:40 Acquiring loot to make a good build is a rather quick time investment. And while grinding out power levels might be trivial to the 75 hours a week streamer...it is meaningful to the 10-15 hour a week hardcore casual who loves Destiny's gameplay loop and the feeling of getting drops that matter. Here's the thing...once you get a build with good stats and perks, drops really don't matter. However, a power grind CAN rekindle that experience, even if it's temporary and for some, annoying. If you grind 2-3 hours a day, this means that meaningful loot drops will last a month or more. If you grind 7-8 hours a day, that means you'll reach peak power and peak loot acquisition in about a week. So the power grind is meant to entice non-streamers. Does my point make sense, or am I crazy??
Am I the only one who doesn't feel onslaught really "rains" good loot? I get maybe a drop every 5 mins. If you want the feeling of "raining" good loot, doing legend lost sectors on master mode... Certain ones can be done in under 3 minutes and you can get some really fun weapons, too.
I stopped listening months ago. just came to check this video out to see if anything has changed and it has not by the looks of the comments. lol. Tefty was right when he pulled the ripcord and got out of this place. gotta love a host that can never be wrong and thinks others opinions are stupid if they don't align with hers. love fran but he just gets too hyper-focused on a topic and it grinds the podcast to a stop. man i miss Tefty.
Thank. You. For. Time. Stamps. Finally. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
19:32 Fran patiently waiting for the Destiny 2 discussion to start… 😂
You guys should get Skillup on the show.

Lmfao. They all gotta do better
I still think power level should be xp based, armor shouldnt dictate level requirements

TV keeps forgetting Revoker got nerfed - requires 2 misses to get 1 back now

I tried. 😂
1:14:33 but everything you pull out of collections is going to be no more than 3 below your power, so they already fixed that.
I want to use my Redrix again, I'm feeling nostalgic.
Where's Chuckles? Love that guy!
Needs more Tefty

The Spotify & this need the titles changed to 380, Briar. (hope ur ok) It didn't show up for 2days? GGs
Why is the show not on Spotify anymore?

Datto made me delete Briar from my vault😢.
1:43:35 the newest Batman with the Vampire Dude. Absolute worst movie I have ever seen in my entire life.
Shame how this pod has fallen.
Nobody here plays the game and just read notes.
Fran has no business being on here at all
