Really liked how the patty melt looked delicious! The kale coleslaw certainly sounded good. I,too make my coleslaw using apple cider vinegar, a bit of sugar, plain yogurt and celery seed.
Chocolate chip croissant looked good,too!
I agree, you have got to slow down at parks and revitalise at resorts, to recharge your batteries and don’t go to melt down! We actually would spend a day or two at the resort to do just that. Loved spending a day at the pool, eat at the resort restaurant, food courts, or order a pizza and send it to our room.

That Patty Melt looked amazing! I’ve tried the Contempo Cafe’s Italian Beef sub. It was great and the giardinera was spicy. My only complaint was that it was so delicious it was gone in the blink of an eye!!
That patty melt was so good. I have always wanted to try that sandwich as it is prepared but was worried about the spice level. Hope you are doing great my friend.

@@TravelingAroundDisney well that would be great but I check in to Bay Lake on a Wednesday and check out on Friday to move over to Boardwalk for 3 nights then to Kidani. I'm sure it is in one or more of your videos but what do you do at the Contemporary?

When we stayed at BLT in 2022 I was not impressed with Contempo. I think the menu was still limited due to Covid. It looks like they have upped their game. We may have to check it out on our upcoming trip.

Love a pity melt,looks good, I like it with grilled onions, onions aren't your thing. Lazy dog has a good grilled cheese with same kind of cheese crust outside also, and a good coleslaw too. Happy 5 year.

What kind of sauce was on the patty melt, what can you compare it to, Russian dressing?
No more of a ketchup/mayonnaise blend. The sautéed onions are really good on it. Hope your having a great week

I honestly couldn’t tell you. I never gave it a try.
@@TravelingAroundDisney I think the BBQ sandwich came in after we left and now left before we will be there. I was hoping to try it. I have not been thrilled with their choices the last few times. Although those chili corn dogs look good. I have been keeping an eye on the menu and they haven't shown up yet I think it might be a special. Hopefully they will last through the summer. And the chicken nuggets are still on the online menu, I hope they change that soon too. I prefer the strips.

Correction, looks like they still have the bowl for dinner. I guess that's good enough. But it's a shame they got rid of the item I usually was there for.
indeed. what happened to the plant-based burger? That menu looks horrible from a plant-based perspective. Contempo used to be much better than that. I don't know what we're going to do when we're there in July. I guess we'll buy our own food at the grocery store and cook in the kitchen (of our DVC room). Pretty disappointing. We used to eat in the contempo almost every night after coming back from the parks. I guess disney doesn't want my money.
@@batshevanivylerner8582 If you're vegetarian (not vegan) I can give some suggestions. A few are vegan but I don't usually pay attention to that.
Like I said, Gasparilla Island at Grand Floridian, they have a grilled cheese + tomato soup and also macaroni and cheese which is pretty good.
Satuli at Animal Kingdom with the tofu bowl, it's probably the best vegan option at Disney, at least if the tofu is fresh.
At Magic Kingdom, Pecos Bill's has a rice and beans bowl. They keep changing it but it's usually pretty good for the price.
Hollywood Studios has Backlot Express with a tofu bowl, also Woody's Lunchbox has grilled cheese and tater tots (but it's really hard to get a seat there, so I wouldn't plan around that place).
Epcot has a few options and they vary with the festivals, but the kids meals at Regal Eagle are probably the best value at Disney and they have macaroni and cheese with two sides as an option. San Angel cantina also has rice and beans which are pretty good. If they have the falafel sandwich at Morocco it's very good (it's a festival item for Food and Wine).
I have not tried it because I don't like the vegetables they use, but Mara at Animal Kingdom Lodge has a vegetable curry.
There's a lot of places with cheese pizza of varying quality, in parks and at hotels. Kids meals also often have one or more vegetarian options not explicitly marked as such (you're allowed to order those as an adult).
I can't speak to sit down as I find the sit down restaurants at Disney too expensive for what they offer, but I know Animal Kingdom Lodge has some Indian-based vegetarian options at their sit down restaurants.
The thing that irks me about how Disney makes their menus is they feel the need to have one or two items that check ALL the boxes and they don't go beyond that. For instance, I like tofu, but paneer is far superior. However, Disney only sees "plant based" and not, and paneer is dairy, so they only use tofu (outside of Animal Kingdom Lodge's few Indian dishes). I also really dislike their love of fake meat. I know they're sponsored by Impossible, but I don't eat meat and I don't want fake meat. It would be really nice if some places could work out having two options for the non-meat instead of just one.

@@TravelingAroundDisney i asked my daughter and she thinks it was never on the menu, but they always had it if you asked for it. I'l find out when we're there in the summer.
