What a feeling I had as you rode thru the canopy of trees. The changing trail conditions. This is a nice series of videos . I would enjoy more footage of camping and down time.

Thanks! I planned on doing more videos about the camping too but it was usually getting dark by the time we were setting up tents.

I like the Roll map with no GPS and the stash of Zip Ties on your handlebars. Very cool Trip.

Looks like somebody in your day 3 group was ridding a 1980 Honda XL250s, easily recognizable with it's 70s style factory sticker design, a black, yellow & red swoosh on the tank.

Were you mostly in first gear l during the smaller trails in this video?

I just found you channel. The XL is really cool! I have a question, are the lights on the XL 6 volt or 12? if they are 12 volt, what did you do to the electrical system?

Thanks! Its 12 volt. I used the electrex world kit and so far its doing good. They recommend using LED lights with the kit, which is what I'm using.

did you keep the stock 23" front tire, from the pics, your front tire looks like a 19" or 21"? Also looks like a custom header pipe & exhaust? Did the organizers of the 1,000 trip get on you for too much customization?

It has the stock 21" front and 18" rear. The exhaust is custom, I have a video on making it. They didn't have a problem with the customization, everything I modified was something that would have been modified when they were new for better performance. I referenced old magazines to get the general idea for how I wanted to modify it. They did consider it a cheater bike though just because Honda XL's are known for reliability especially when they're well maintained and properly sorted.

Looks fun, but a little easy for a dirt bike?

Agreed! I didn't pick the route just along for the ride.
