    If you put your paints in plastic syringes, you have more control, and you can cover ends to keep paint from drying out so you have it to use again to match work for orders. Love your work. Just a tip for you, as you have given me some tips. Thanks Panda 🐼

    I've watched Louise paint many of them Angelia. Absolutely love them, but I've mentioned to her too, that her beauty is then covered up by canned goods or pots and pans! 🤣🤣 But, they do sell and your created a beautiful bloom here. Love it!

    Beautiful! I love functional art. We have a Lazy Susan in the middle of our kitchen table. They’re great, ours holds napkins, salt n pepper and couple of resin trivets I made for setting hot plates and pans on. It’s very generous of you to share your technique for others to benefit from.       Maybe you can integrate a small differentiation that will make your technique similar but still unique. There are always ways to incorporate ideas into your own style or mediums that fit your talents! Just sayin'! ❤️💖

    You're just full of great ideas! Buying a lazy susan seems so much easier... I made one years ago, before I started to paint, and it drove me crazy trying to get the spin hardware centered. This calls for a quick trip to Ikea! Toot toot to toot - charge.

    I love this video and your beautiful artwork! What resin do you use for the top coat? And, is this food safe?

      Thank you so very much!! I use KS Resin Table Top Epoxy and I do know after doing some research that if there is a clear coat of resin/epoxy over your work that has added paints or other chemicals and such then, yes it is food safe. This I seal with the epoxy/resin without putting anything in it so it would be food safe. Deb I have a discount code in my description box for KS Resin if you need it. Thanks again for watching!!     Everything I see is just beautiful, but I don’t think just anyone can do that. It certainly takes a creative mind to know how to make your colors and blow them in the right direction and then do the twirls! You have to be able to imagine it firstI would think. I wish I could do it. It would certainly be fun to try and see what the end product is!!!

    So pretty! And love the idea of a lazy Susan! Which cell activator do you use? Does it contain latex? We've got allergies. We've had fun paint pouring but not doing the cells yet. What tool did you use for the details?

      I use Australian Floetrol for the cell activator. I use a silicone tool or wood skewer most times to create the details. Thank you and thank you for watching!!

    I have a question about warnish. Is it necessary to use resin? Can I use some other warnish and get the same effect with the heat resistance?

    Do you have a video on how to prep the top of the wood? Do you do any sanding, what do you varnish with, how long to wait after vanishing prior to painting ect. Please and thank you

      Martha I do not do any sanding with these. When I varnish I usually just make sure it is dry, maybe a couple hours. That is it. No worries. :)

    Beautiful bloom!! Just found your channel and subscribed. You stated that you varnished the wood. Doesn't the wood have a finish on it already? Do you just varnish over it? And what varnish do you use?

      Thank you for coming over! :) Yes it does! But I like to do it again just to make sure it doesn't warp and I know it is sealed. I use Triple Thick Varathane varnish.

      I did not sand it as it looked as though it had already been sealed. I just varnished over the finish. It works amazingly. Thank you!!

    Hi. How do keep the resin from reacting to hot food? These are very pretty.

      These are not intended for serving food right off the surface. There should be another plate, bowl, serving dish on top of it and then it is turned around to each person to reach. It is a lazy susan. Thank you! :)

      I use KS Resin and it is table top epoxy. I have read that if the top layer of resin has no additives then Yes it is food safe. I could be wrong but that is the consensus. Thank you!!

There is varnish on this lazy susan and I have painted on them straight from IKEA without adding another layer of varnish but I prefer the finish after I have varnished them once. I hope that makes sense. :)

    Can you give me a ballpark on what they sell for? I'm just trying to see if the profit would be enough. I checked the lazy susan price at IKEA, and it was close
    to $17/piece. Factoring in the epoxy, resin, and paint...I would have to think it would be close to $25-$30 just to make...

KSRESIN products are FDA Compliant (FDA 21 CFR 175.300) when accurately measured, thoroughly mixed, and fully cured. Please review and follow our instructions closely. We do not recommend using cured epoxy resins with alcohol (e.g. shot glasses, wine glasses), for hot foods, or for use on cutting boards

    Beautiful! I just looked up the lazy susan on IKEAs website- it’s a little more than $18 with tax. At art fairs what do yours go for, so we know what the going rate is?
