I remember buying this album, "Up!", when it came out and thinking it was cool that it actually had two CDs, a green one with country versions of the songs, and a red one with the exact same songs but with more rock instrumentation.
Did you know there was a blue disc that was released instead of the green, for the album sold in Asia? It contained all the same songs but arranged with Indian instruments like sitar, tabla and ethnic Indian rhythms. It was like a Bollywood soundtrack!
This was my first ever Shania song I could consciously understand and it was a brilliant moment! As a teeneager back then I loved the energy, modern vibe and the country flavor. It motivated me to buy the album Up! Later, I discovered she was more of a country musician and this era was her comebak and a successful one it was. She came back with a bang!
Thanks for taking the words out of my mouth and recognizing Shania's drop-dead gorgeous. I watched another reactor do a Shania video, big smile on his face, who commented on the song and its plausibility (That Don't Impress Me Much), but just couldn't admit she's simply breathtaking. So I enjoyed your reaction. Of course, your comments on the music are always well-taken and smart. There WAS music in there, right? I don't remember. :)
This woman, at this era, was the most beautiful Girl of the world 🌹👌 and.. like it's not enough, she was the greatest woman selling album of all time 🤠 we're proud of her here in Canada 🇨🇦 🖐️
She said in an interview her idea was that LYRICALLY the song is about a futuristic relationship.... "you can't run, you can't hide" when you love someone and the video was VISUALLY a futuristic idea... with the robot, run, hide, very futuristic video visually for 2002.. Have you ever heard her song C'EST LA VIE? It's on the UP album.. I swear during the chorus I hear the DANCING QUEEN melody Probably the way she sings it and how it rhymes the same maybe she's inspired by it I don't know But just like POOR ME on the NOW album ... The beginning notes guitars sound just like Chainsmokers "Don't Let Me Down". Then Any Man of Mine and Honey I'm Home. have that We Will Rock You beat/sound. I think it's more inspiration than it is copying people? Idk sorry. Love her idk why I blabbed. My bad And I only went into all of that because you mentioned the look from Man I Feel Like a Woman, that video was a parody to Robert Palmer's Addicted To Love video? I think she's just musically inspired
The reason this sounds so good is due to her ex husband, producer Mutt Lange. He has produced some of the greatest, most successful albums of all time. I even discovered recently that he wrote and sang the original version of this Huey Lewis hit with his band Supercharge > ruclips.net/video/PvxamEjpx4Q/видео.html
her last album was really good even without Mutt, so don't make it sound like she can't do it without him. Sales or no sales, it was a a strong album and deserved better.
Mutt worked with Clover, a San Francisco BA band featuring HL. Clover was the backing band for Elvis Costello. The music to the verse of We Believe in Love matched Jeff Lynne's Sweet Talking Woman. Jeff Lynne could have sued Mutt but let it slide. JL prefers making friends than making enemies. After working with Mutt, Bryan Adams hire JL to produce a country/rockabilly album. Mutt got AC/DC, Foreigner, Thomas Dolby, Loverboy, Billy Ocean, Def Leppard, The Cars + BA to get hit songs or albums before meeting Shania Twain.
Recently I watched a movie starring Shania twain called I still believe , and When I saw her in the movie for the first time, I couldn't believe that this was Shania Twain ... her facial features had completely changed and she looked fat in the movie.
Thats really not nice. She gained weight because she got lyme disease. She lost her voice and gained a little weight. She still is gorgeous in and out in my eyes. She is one of the most beautiful woman in show biz.👌🏼
@@SweeranSwift Obviously, you misunderstood my words ... We did not mean to ridicule or insult Shania Twain, but we just asked what happened to her health and her face. That's all , we can't deny that she is and still an amazing singer and she has an overwhelming presence on stage and i love her songs so much
I was obsessed with this Shania Twain album. Which til this day, is still the bestselling album by a female artist!

@@calvinmurty8273 I did not know that! Cool!
@@calvinmurty8273 That’s a great cd too
what a perfect song lyrically and musically
That chord change from the verse to the bridge is brilliant. But the whole song really is.
@@GoldTop57 agree
thumbs down are jealous... love my fellow Canadian! Great songwriter, singer (perfect pitch) and entertainer!
🇨🇦🇨🇦
Proud to be Canadian! We have some of the best artists out there, for real! 🇨🇦
@@ZachLagrandeur Justin Bieber is the worst singer from Canada just like how in America we have the trash of Justin Timberlake
My son is madly in love with SHANIA TWAIN since the 1990's & he still is today.
Ive got a poster of her in my bedroom & so did my dad when he was younger 😂😂, She's an absolute goddess physically and vocally
I love this song.
Shania is so unique and her voice is just captivating. My favorite song of hers is "Any Man of Mine". This song is great, too. Glad you reacted to it.
I love her voice!
I love this woman more than my life :)) Thank you for your reactions to Shania :)
My idol 🤩

*SHANIAAAAAAAA I LOVE SHANIAAAA!!!*
Really REALLY good one. My absolute favorite of hers is "Thank You Baby! (For Makin' Someday Come So Soon)", though.
Shania and Mutt were a great team! I wish they still made music together.
Shania twain has the best lyrics and the best videos ever!!!! No one could touch her!
Her husband produced the album and it was a first ever country /pop. Double AC/DC back in Black and produced most of Def leppard's albums
I love Shania
Shania is a queen. Please react to Man I feel like a women and That dont impress me much and your still the one
shania is second only because dolly is my favorite female artist ... she is incredibly talented
I myself really go for the Green Version (this was the Red Version). The sci-fi and country vibes clash well together for me
she sounds the same live,, that says it all!!
Shania is awesome love Sara Evans too would be awesome if you reacted to Sara Evans .. Real fine place to start phenomenal song

Ka Ching video is amazing also, she has never looked better , meaningful song🙂
what do you remember that music
that video clip has good music
I didn’t know there was so many different video versions of this song. Stupid mutt had to break her heart. They were so good together musically.
the most expensive video clip ever till then :D it aged well just like herself

I agree. She can journey on. Lady Gaga, Michael Bolton, Huey Lewis, Bryan Adams continue to get hits after working with Mutt Lange.

Please react to Bryan Adams "The Only Thing That Looks Good On Me Is You" 🔥
Speaking of Bryan, I just saw Shania reacting to her music videos and she said Bryan was on the set of this video taking pictures of her!
I'd let her hit this for a few decades.
This video was made just after she had her baby.
I LOVE AND PREFER THE PERFORMANCE VERSION OF THE VIDEO... IMO THAT'S THE BEST VERSION ❤️
I always hated this video, it was dated even back then 😂 I love her music though so I’ll let her off.
Hi 🙌🙌 can you please react to blackpink- how you like that ...? Thank you and dont forget to put cc on 🤗
Shania is single Dereck....you might have a chance!
She's with Fredric Theibud

The reason the low like is the song is a woman going after the man. Some people don't like that.
