He is like: wait, i was just joking, i didnt think you actually would do it. In my current tabletop campaign i have a character basically like that, constantly proposing evil ideas, but if someone ever goes along with them, he would be what: wait what? are you crazy?
Gale is a more intelligent type of evil He approved of origin Astarion ascending despite innocent lives including children being sent to Hell because there was power involved He hates the raiding of the tieflings because what purpose did it serve? On top of that even evil characters can like the people there and be angry on that basis He's not full evil. He still likes saving people he has an affinity with. E.g wanting to save Mirkon, Arabella and Sazza because they remind him of his troublemaker self as well as when he stopped a fight by buying beer He's an evil character who does have "redeeming" qualities such as being able to be talked out of being a god etc but he isn't good and I say this as a Galemancer 2x all the way to the games end credits
@@kairaaitken938 He can be very pragmatic and hates wasting things, lives included. I can totally see him approving ascending just to not release 7000 ravenous spawn into the underdark.
This is probably by far the most badass one of the origin characters i have seen (only Wyll and Astarion) Gale this kind gentleman of a character falling for his greed of power yet again and this time it has a hold on him he truly befame karsus successor

Just curious I noticed Astarion is still aware and isn't controlled like the others, is this new to patch 6? Cuz when I did an evil ending a few patches ago I noticed that even my Tav's romanced companion still had the purple eyes and was controlled. Maybe its something they changed or I'm just tripping lol, either way its a nice touch
Watching this knowing damn well im doing everything i can to keep astarion from ascending in my current playthrough, trying my hardest to end the game with Gale and Astarion in a healthy relationship and the Absolute defeated 😭
but my only question with this ending is how does he end up getting rid of the netherese orb. Unlikely that mystra will allow it to feed on the weave now that he is evil.
Mystra says that within time, the brain will become a new kind of God. I assume he'll think of some way to use the Karsite weave within him to his advantage. In all likelihood it will grow enough to consume Mystra and her magic, the 'true weave'
Easy. You already have the Crown, now just use it to beat the orb into submission AND become a god with a ready-made following. Well, illithid following, but still.
Lets see evil Gale IMMEDIATELY will be targeted by all the gods as a threat. Gale Dekarios, god of Ambition joins their ranks and can gain strength and dominance over the mortal realms through feeding on the prayers of those as ambitious as he is. Gale as a god makes more since for longevity and quality of life.
This would be so delicious (in my sick twisted mind) if you have Karlach change into a mind flayer and then go stabby stab. Who needs her at that point? She served her purpose for Gale to become the Absolute alongside his Vampire Ascendant lover (wouldn’t Astarion be his Master, at that point?).
Question though Im quite aware that Larian changed something here that Ascended Astarion and God Gale wouldnt be enthralled but what if Astarion is spawn?

@Arkhimael Astarion is Ascended here, I have yet to branch off the old save and complete the game with Spawn Astarion. I imagine it's still the same, though.
