At 22:07, when Alex takes out the teal box, you can hear a very quiet version of the intro music, ‘punch him in the face’, as he stares at it, and it disappears, when he throws it aside. Tragic.
The worst bit about this is that the finale scene sort of reflects Alex's flashback in regards to the bus scene. At his youth, Alex saw and trained himself as a up-and-coming martial artist. Then he proceeds to lose miserably, his plans gone up in smoke, and he just quietly waits for the bus to come and go home. And at this ending, Alex winds up losing his friends, losing his goal of finding a better place in favor of slaughter, and quietly bleeds out alone and the middle of nowhere at a bus stop that already left without him, so there's literally no other place for him to go to. And on a side note, what was that thing Alex tossed out at the very end?

I don't know why, but the change from Silvester's normal theme to "Mind of Joy," the theme of the mud village just gives a very sad feeling, especially since it is slowed down. He's just a man who has lost all his friends and followers, and just his life overall (Possibly in multiple ways). Beating him while he is depressed and lashing out is just so disheartening in the normal game alone, and killing him is even worse. His last line is very sad as well, with him saying that he doesn't mind dying with regrets. He regrets not leaving with the others, but has given up so much that he just doesn't care anymore. He had what Alex wanted, a stable nice home where he could thrive and be happy, and he lost it, and then Alex took what he had left. Truly a sad tale. Edit: Thinking about it, a lot of characters in Pointless had what Alex was looking for, a place where they felt they belonged and could live in. Everyone on Garbage Island didn't seem to mind their state of life, and even seemed happy. The Gamesters were doing great, having a place where they could get out their violent urges and still live relatively safe and happy lives in Downtown. Old man Cormack and Silvester both seemed to also have a nice set-up, where they lived happily. But each and everyone of these characters lost their homes or their lives, which begs the question. Were they really where they belonged? Or had they just given up so much that they were willing to accept the dismal situations they had? Just food for thought.
That's what I love about pointless, while in the other lisa games the main point of the character's goal of ultimately finding a hypothetical last girl on earth is justified by the situation the world is in, or some personal reason, but in pointless it's like a whole new world. Alex, Joel, The Marauders, the Game affiliates, everyone in the city and the entirety of the infinity franchise just doesn't seem to care about what happens next(be it for different reasons.) But all those people have one thing in common, that they're perfectly content with settling in their situation, that they've all given up in their own ways. Alex is a good example of "no matter who you are or what you've done, you are a more experienced person you were yesterday, you deserve more and shouldn't just settle."
Honestly, before you ended the paragraph, I thought you were going to say something like “How far are Alex and Joel going to work to get what they want?” Kinda like in Painful. But I also really love that idea
id like to think they were really where they belonged. if climbing up the folds of infinity means killing people for no reason and alex got to 3rd fold. id like to think they were where they belonged, but due to the franchise and infinity. they died to alex edit: did i just repeat myself? yes, yes i did.
With that ending,autumn area feels different. In normal ending,this is a place to relax,to think about what is coming next after downtown. But here? It is more of realization that Alex at peace,yet everything ended. He has nowhere to go and he does not need to,even more,he is now isolated from normal people by associating with franchise. I did not cry,but was sad.

The contrast between both endings is really something in the good ending Joel is there to help Alex after getting attacked by Hugo but in the bad ending there is no one to help him as he's on is own dragging his own body forward to find something to help him.
One thing that would've been a nice touch is if 3rd folder alex stopped taking falling damage like Brad at the end of painful. He DID survive the fall after all.

That ending is pretty bullshit considering Hugo's skills as a *stealth* character instead of an offensive one. Franchiser Alex would "Realistically" tear Hugo apart and leave relatively unharmed as Hugo just drops his one advantage of being undetected by walking directly up to Alex and initiating conversation. But no somehow Hugo liquifies Alex's abdomen despite being an overweight man armed with only a scalpel going up against a man who has weaponized brutality itself to tear every person he touches apart.

I'm honestly kinda disappointed with the franchiser ending. It gives you so many new interesting moves but so few enemies to test them out on. plus the super bland ending of Hugo just shanking Alex even though he was more skilled at being stealthy than being direct all culminates into an ending with lots of missed potential where what we got was pretty neat but just not used too well.
Yeah, me too. I really wished they made Hugo an actual boss fight, where you need to manage Items and SP, instead, you just need to use Gouged Penutina and it's done.

In the Pointless mod, you could say, "you become the very thing you were fighting against", which is the franchise. You become tainted in their own power and get claimed by the very thing. You "grinded" your way to that power. Undertale? You grind the same enemies(moving back and forth) of that area and move on. You get some dust or something and fight some difficult boss at the very end. In this mod, you die or left with your own thoughts as to what happens. Alex gets picked up by some people? Or just die.

I think the bus had yet to arrive. Because in the original they had slept at the camp before they went to the bus.
