One pick I'd like to add - Martinellli as a mid (yellow tier pick). I think he's as risky as Jesus but do think Trossard/Havertz are both more likely to be the odd men out in the short term for Arsenal. Bit easier picking Arsenal players where there are 4 players for 3 spots compared to Liverpool with 4 players in 2. That's all I'll say! Thanks for watching :)
I think Trossard/Havertz both more likely to play that deeper role also. I was going to go Havertz, but most likely opting for Jesus instead as a 1 week punt.

I think that's fair. Having said he's played so well, it's likely both their mins are horrendous from here on out. I also think the perf.vs City was fabulous so let's see how mins go.
What is your opinion on Declan Rice? Perhaps his biggest contribution from a fantasy point of view is that he takes the corners from the left. I have him in my Sofascore fantasy team as a differerental since some weeks ago. But do you think he is a solid pick?
Why Luis Díaz is not on the list? I know he is a ration risk but still can be a good hit. I went with Foden, good fixtures and city should get better soon.
Nothing major, just think that with so many major mins played vs TOT he's probably likely to be benched for the mid-week game which makes things tougher if you can't get much value from LEI(H) on a guy with shakier mins due to the amount of bodies available.
FPL Review is showing Diaz xMIN at 56, and the xPts is still solid for that 4.3 on my screen. Worst case is 25min v Lei(h) then 70ish minutes v WHU(a) idk he seems worth it
Mate you’re an absolute machine. Thanks for this vid. Needed some guidance over potential transfers! I personally think Declan Rice could be a very decent option this GW; will be on corners (if Saka out) and maybe FKs and a goal or two!
People asking about Diaz are just points chasing imo. Before yesterday, he’d banked in 5 of the last 6 gameweeks that he played. And with Jota back his minutes will only decline.
Really Helpful as always. Pains me to say it as a Spurs fan, but I worry about the upcoming Forest game. But, we’ll see. I think Johnson will almost certainly start. I’ll keep Solanke. My current team heading into GW18 is Raya, Castagne Dalot, TAA, Enzo, Rogers, Palmer, Salah, Cunha, Solanke, Pedro. Saka on bench. I think my potential moves will be Saka to Bruno/Oodergard and Cunha to one of Isak or Wood. I realise too, I have no Gabriel or Saliba but just feel my forward line is missing the real obvious option.
Forest isn't great, but owning Spurs seems fun for the road ahead. The team is extremely tilted towards attack and that's okay from a FPL pov, hopefully results go your way too. I agree the first option is most probably to resupply your attack with Saka out.
Hey Fran, do you think it is worth taking a hit for either Trent or Isak, for me it would be Robertson to Trent or strand Larsen to Isak? I might never get Trent but always planned to wait for isak till gw20 as the earliest.
I've brought in Jesus for Cunha as an exciting differential punt after having Wood planned for the last 2 GWs. I want to get TAA in for Dalot for -4. But is it worth it? Would start TAA vs Lei (H) instead of Hall vs Villa (H). So my back 3 would be Gabriel - TAA - Kerkez with Hall and Harwood Bellis benched. Anyone have any input on this?
@FPLFran Thanks for the response! I've made the change for the -4. If Liverpool keep a clean sheet, TAA could get 1 bonus point and I think Hall is likely to concede vs Villa. So if all that happens the -4 is covered
odegaard or martinelli? Odegaard is more safe minutes -wise but martinelli will surely score more points ( atleast from how good he looked vs palace)??
1 FT, 1.2 ITB... some players I want to sell rather sooner than later: Saka, Pedro, Greaves, Lewis... Where should i go? Currently think to do a -4 this week to sell Saka to Jota (and bench Iwobi against Chelsea) and Greaves to Trent (to bench Robinson against Chelsea)? And sell Pedro next week for free to Wood/any striker below 6.9 (Jesus?)... And sell Lewis anytime to a cheap defender tp free.up more money as I only have Greaves right now below 4.7 mio. Thoughts?
if he starts v LEI(h) he has much higher xPts than what models are giving him. FPL Review has Jota 36 xMIN and Diaz at 52, it's very deceiving imo seeing one of Jota or Diaz is likely to start. Liverpool want to extend their lead atop the league. TC on Salah is a good idea for LEI(h), so why isn't a 2nd LIV attacker a poor idea either? All the other choices in my squad are great for mins and delivering, hence 68k rank, it's a great idea to go for Diaz. EDIT: Just looked again to see xMIN and they boosted Jota to 44 and Diaz is now at 56, proving my initial comment that one of Jota or Diaz likely starts for LEI(h).
that doesn't really help much does it if you get the wrong one, that's why it's extremely hard to actually even make the decision. Think it's likelier Jota starts given his fitness and the mins output on Diaz. Gakpo + Diaz is prob first choice rn on both LW/CF
hard to say he's guaranteed the mins you want vs LEI or over this horizon. Also I think people are genuinely neglecting how god awful this Spurs defence is truly
Cunha needs more respect. 2nd highest scoring fwd in the game, 3rd highest on BPS after Salah & Palmer , on all set pieces & fully nailed, faces leaky defences in the next 2, new manager bounce at Wolves. The ban might not be decided for weeks as seen with other players.
I'm genuinely not sure about it. I think with Pool being so good you want to think about maximising points. As much as he did excellent vs Tottenham that's not the average case for Pool so I'd probably ignore him entirely.
Think I’m gonna bring in Bruno and Trent for Saka and Van Hecke for a -4. I also rlly want Sarr and/or Munoz next week but that’s not worth selling Semenyo+Colwill is it? Unless we think Colwill might miss ips(A)?
Is it even worth trying to replace Saka with another Arsenal midfield? They don’t seem like consistent or generally great options yet I don’t know how else to make use of the Arsenal attack
Great video mate. WCing in GW19 so who’s your favourite Saka replacement for a one week punt? On 3FTs saved as well so can get Jesus (but I like rolling more transfers into the WC)
I admire the confidence to go against Salah at home to the leakiest defence in the league😹 sounds like a fun pick but can’t say I’d be surprised if Bowen scores a brace and still gets you less points than a Salah captain
Hi fran great video❤want to sell pedro to jesus or sell enzo to jota/odegard/martinelli what do u think? I have bowen, foden, salah, palmer, wood, isak for gw 18 😊
The problem is I hate selling Saka. Like he’s a premium, and if you sell him, you loose out on money because we will want him back and the budget is so tight I don’t wanna loose the value I have already. Saka is 10.6 I bought him 10.1 can only sell him 10.3 so I loose .3 on him buying him back
Couldn't we say the same about Fernandes, "not been particularly conducive to winning games this season" how many games are Man Utd going to lose this season? They can thank Man City's collapse because if not, that would be 4 straight losses and 5-4-8 record. They are not winning anything this season and would be lucky to finish top 8.
Hey Fran, what do we think about JP and Mitoma to Amad and Jesus for a -4? It feels very risky initially but I like the potential. Mitoma will leave my team this week no matter what, the Amad choice amongst other budget mids is purely to free up funds to Jesus. I own Joao Pedro at 5.6 and that value could potentially be what prevents me from moving into Jesus. Brighton still have Ipswich and Everton as well as Brentford - who are poor away from home - in their next 6. I don’t think Arsenals fixtures are too bad at all to be honest: Brighton and Tottenham defences are shaky and I imagine they will still score 1 or 2 against Brentford and Villa as well as the obvious greens against Ipswich and Wolves. I’m interested what your thoughts are on the budget midfielders and whether or not you would go Mitoma into Sarr or Semenyo if I wasnt making the other transfer. If there’s not much in it between Amad and Sarr/Semenyo, I am tempted to make the 2 transfers but I’m not sure if the value I have on Joao Pedro is really that important. What do you think Fran?
solid -4 if you think Jesus starts v Ipswich. J.Pedro is still a cheap price but Jesus is definitely a good gw18 option with potential to stay as the starting striker for the 2nd best team. Brentford(a) is another nice fixture in gw19 on Jan 1.
Im surprised Mbeumo isn’t a green purely due to his G/A per 90 and he consistently plays 90min in a high scoring Brentford team, irregardless of fixtures
well, fixtures are important. I'm not here to react to purely output otherwise you might as well look at the fpl points table and pretend that everyone who has done points will keep doing them at the same rate without regarding fixtures, mins, xgi, etc. going forward, which I find more consistent in terms of decision making support.
Everton are not going to keep CS against solid offenses all the time, he is less valuable than Munoz, Castagne, Robinson, arguably Huijsen until the likely DGW in 24
Well to be a bit nicer, NEW are playing AVL(h) then MUN(a) and TOT(a), do the fixtures from their attack against those defences change THAT much? Ipswich(a) was tough for Bournemouth for the first 90min or Man Utd for the final 95min. Models had NEW to score less than 2.3 goals if my memory serves correctly.
