- Originally titled "Treasury Men In Action", Federal Men was one of the better crime dramas of the 1950's and starred Walter Greaza as The Chief who introduces each episode and warns the viewer that crime does not pay. This episode "The Case of The Slippery Eel" is about a confidence man who finally runs out of luck. This episode fell into the public domain in 1983 from lack of copyright renewal.
"Treasury Men In Action" was an interesting program. This is the first viewing I have seen of this series.
"TREASURY MEN IN ACTION" was originally produced "live" on NBC from 1950 through '54. In the 1954-'55 season (its last), the series was filmed [and sponsored by Chevrolet, on ABC]. In syndication, the 39 filmed episodes was issued as "FEDERAL MEN". This episode was initially telecast on July 1, 1955 {the last first-run episode of the series}.
Thanks for sharing this.
