I bought 100 shares of KO in 2001 for about $5000, Reinvested MOST dividends (about 3 years they weren't reinvested). Currently have 306.6 shares (over 100 of them came from a 2 for 1 split), or $16815. After inflation (47% cumulative) and taxes it's much less than what it looks like.

Does the website calculation include share availability and taxes? When you get a dividend, it's income, and you have to pay taxes on it. When you buy a share of stock, that generally immediately increases the price you'll pay for the next share. Supply and demand affects stock prices similarly to the prices of other things.
