    I applied thinking I would have to be drug ( thc ) free as soon as my application started nope they said 12 months prior to applying

    I applied, what can I do in the meantime to be more involved with the Chp?

      (1) Get in shape, if your BMI is over 25, they won't hire you. (2) Start running, you need to be able to run a 9 minute mile, 3-5 miles, (3) Are you a Veteran? that would help a lot, they like Veterans, (4) If you pass your written/physical, sign up for a ride along, (5) Learn more about the agency online.

      @@UncleSarkis I am not certain man, It's been 15 years since my last recruit attempt, things may have changed. Your best bet is to talk to a Recruiting Officer, although if I was in your shoes, I would try to join a Patrol or Sheriff in another State.

    I saw the bloopers for t bj os video, at least I think it was this video... Absolutely hilarious but I definitely think it helps as well, makes me want to join even more
