Defining a House Style:-
The Envelope is conceived to address the the client's brief of an open home that would facilitate interaction yet provide a cosy environment at the same time. Environment/Climatic issue, permission of maximum sunlight with safety home and also adherence to vastu Sastra principal are the main determining factor of this type of design. The result is therefore a contemporary structure, with organic in its organisation and one that would respond to harsh summer and mild winter of the region all encompassed within valid vastu shastra code. The main element connecting the house vertically standing brick type concrete structure making it the main focus point as soon as one sees the house. Accommodating all the public function on the ground floor such as living, dinning, open kitchen, leaves out ample for upper level to accommodate the remaining bedrooms together with a play area zone for pool. The 2"x2" inch wooden frame adds an extra interesting feature to the house which makes it a crucial part of the house which makes it feel one.To Highlight the structure to stand out near by, minimal and simplistic material palette is adopted; exposed RCC exterior walls,white plastered walls inside, oak wood for doors and windows. The excess to large balcony from the upper level add a second key feature to the detailing from exterior perspective.
