- Power Systems are talked about all the time within the shounen community, but what I consider some of the best definitely might not be everyone else's favorite. Today I wanted to talk about why I think these series have some of the best power systems, and how it plays into the combat of the series. World Trigger power system is so good you haven't even mentioned the Side Effects. Like Jin + Fuujin + Precognition Side Effect is too OP
It’s funny you mentioned this, because I was debating on including side effects, but I think I’ll save that for the future and tying that into some of the narrative moments in the future
It’s sad world trigger dosent get as much hype and or promotion as other popular anime
World Trigger's power system is one of the best if not the best because of its consistency. One wouldn't suddenly gain power just because one suddenly realizes the power of friendship.
World Trigger works like a real video game where you have a source of power and when you deplete that power its game over unlike other shonens where the MC's friend is on the verge of dying and suddenly he has now immense power to defeat hos enemies.

World Trigger's system is like a load-out in an FPS game as I remember a person say. Like, if a specific map was chosen, they swap to another loadout for that map, and when new tactics are made or introduced, like Yuma adding Grasshopper to his arsenal when he learned it from Midorikawa. Also I think, Katori Squad (One of the first squad that Tamakoma-2 beat in the 2nd season.), after the loss added the wires to their loadout (this shows that agents and teams can adopt new formed strategies learned from others).

The other great thing about World Trigger is there's no supernatural durability. Any trion weapon works on a standard trion body. If you don't have armor or a shield up to block, or you don't dodge, you ARE getting hurt. Yuma is one of the best, and even then he has like three ways to use his shape-shifting blade to compensate for missing limbs because he's very likely going to lose at least one in any serious fight.
the author of jujustu kaisen has said the power system was inspired by HXH and World trigger.
It's not a surprise that jjk is the best battle shonen currently in shonen jump

@@donrog5035 The Story is shit and the only interesting Character is Gojo. And the Chracter development bruhhhh.... the black flash scene against Hanami made me laugh in sadness. "Its a rare thing that pros do sometimes unintentionally, but i am the MC so fk it ill do it intended multiple times despite me learning abt curses existence a week ago" :,D If it wasnt for Gojo i wouldnt even watch it not worth my time. Mid Tier at best. Black Clover is Mid Tier too tho.

thought Custom and Enhanced Triggers deserved a mention for World Trigger as well with Geist or Lambiris, since it adds even more depth to an already insane power system
Quite spoilery, but I agree that the systems are great :) One thing that could have been added is that compatibility (tool/opponent) plays a stronger role than raw "fuel" volume.
My fave power systems:
1. World Trigger
2. Toaru series (the one's based on science)
3. HxH

I'm still rather new to anime and while Trion is like so many other power sources like Ki and Chakra, World Trigger's triggers are most certainly unique
That isn't really true though. With power sources like Ki and Chakra, the user can directly use their power, while with Trion that is simply not the case. If you don't have a weapon or gear designed to use Trion, you have absolutely no way to use it. You could have insane Trion levels like Chika, or even more than that and be a borderline god, but you still wouldn't be able to do anything or even sense Trions existence without a weapon and someone to specifically tell you about it. And even then you wouldn't be able be able to sense it, only technology can track and measure Trion, but for stuff like Ki, anyone who knows how to use it can sense other Ki. Plus, Trion doesn't give any special power or magical abilities like Ki or Chakra that allows for flight and basically magic, whereas Trion is literally just an energy source. It is vastly different
@@Charley-ju6ygTo add to this, unlike Ki and Chakra, you can create stable, long-lasting constructs with Trion(e.g. Border HQ is made of Trion) and even utilize it to create virtual worlds for training purposes or Rank wars.
I love world trigger'S power systems. Just little complain, you had some big spoilers here. Maybe next time try to give examples with less spoilers. See you in the next video

World Trigger's power system was perfect from its very inception. It just added layers to the existing system to create nuance and complexity to its simple foundation as the story progressed.

Main characters have 3 black triggers. Jins blade (that he negotiated kuga joining border with) kuga's ring, and the guy who see's aura has one too. But if im not mistaken border has 3 not counting kuga's
Yeah, Amo has one that's probably based on Meteor (it's only been described as a "nuclear strike" trigger) like Jin's is based on Kogetsu.
World trigger deserves more credible only anime comparable using strategy and tactics is HXH.
2 of my favorites manga and anime, World Trigger and Twin star, I love them, and think the same thing too. The narration of WT is fantastic and insane

world trigger power system is very balanced even the side effect can be overwhelm even if ur op as sht like yuma there times yuma got badly injured but still got through it by using his trigger as a bandage even if ur a high rank that does not matter if u let your guard down because the there times where strategy can the best weapon

JJK is great and all but it falls into the trap of pulling random aspects of said power out of nowhere. We understand fully the limits of trion but Jujutsu isn’t as consistent.

Nowadays I recommend reading to chapter 120 and then starting at s2! Ofc if there is any moments as you read that you’d like to see animated you definitely can go watch the episodes from season 1. It’s just a HUGE quality jump from s1 to s2 & 3 due to haitus + Toei improving over the years

Unless u prefer op edgy mc or harem thingy then yes. One of best anime about teamwork and strategy imo. Even better if u are type to pay attention to detail and stuff.
@@YozakuraSensei It has a lot of reread value and watching certain scenes more than once can offer different perspectives. Dialogue is a huge factor in WT, at least for me.

@@YozakuraSensei yeah this is true we know next to nothing about him except that he is op big chance of being stronger than Jin and i myself don't remember what his black trigger does my only guess would be like a bomb type or stronger when i say bomb i mean not grenades big ass bombs that destroys more than one house at a time

Very simplistic, easy to understand does not equal good.
It's simplistic yes but not the best. World Trigger's power system is the best because it's balanced, also simplistic and consistent.

Jujustsu Kaisens power level is imo one of the worst i have ever seen and the reason it is a mid tier anime for me lol. The Main Characters development is a joke. they are not that great you over praise them for nothing, plus both of them have been shiting their own lore and power system plenty of times just for the convience of the plot so yeah good anime both of them not that great of a power system its not like it's HxH or Naruto

Naruto power system is kinda shit.
HxH is good but I think JJK is extremely well made. Idk when JJK changed the power system for plot convenience but it is consistent.

World trigger power system is really good, it's only behind of hxh and to aru series(ln not anime).
@@joxbarros5054 Yup. I actually liked the Naruto the power system early in the series but then it just became whack. A bit of lazy writing on Kishimoto's part.
I haven't read/watched World Trigger but even the JJK power system is top notch in my opinion. At least if you are caught up with the Manga since the anime hasn't explored it yet.
