Gonna clarify something since a few people have brought it up in the comments- when I was talking about feeling burnt out from playing ClanGen, it's referring to months ago. In it's current state, I am enjoying the game more than I did with the previous version. I appreciate your guys' worry, but I'm alright guys! Just trying to pay the bills tbh...
One tip I have is if there are two cats you're interested in developing a relationship between, send them out alone together on a training patrol. It frequently increases friendship or romance and there's cute dialog too!
I do this a lot, but sometimes it can be futile depending on both cats' personalities. There's a file somewhere that tells whether personalities are compatible, but in general, this is how I get my cats to like one another
@@yeetbeaver6162 if you go to choose a mate and put the two cats together, look at the lines between the cats, if they're wiggly, it means its compatible, if its straight then it's neutral, and if its spikey then their personalities are incompatible!

I'm hoping this doesn't become a kit explosion like before. There is a new option to have a "mass extinction" event when the clan does get big. However, the cats that get picked are random so be careful.
Cats can also come out as trans too! I’ve had it happen a few times. One time a loner joined and I kept forgetting that he was female…. Anyway said cat came out as a Trans Tom in a timeskip. I knew all along lol.
Maybe the clan leader and deputy died at the same time and in the confusion the clan split into two it would also explains why there is no kits or elders if they were in a battle

Clicking that will open a section where you can freely take notes! Also can’t wait until you end up getting a trans cat, I know I always get super excited to see that rep ♥️
They already did get a trans-cat!Although isn't alive, the trans-cat is Ratbounce in Starclan! I also believe she was apart of giving a life to Fiercestar.

You know how you can see the cats’ relationships- Fiercestar likes Cliffcry de most. But Fiercestar doesn’t like Softheart that much and is a bit jealous of her. Cliffcry likes Fiercestar and Softheart both the most out of all of the cats- Fiercestar could be jealous because Softheart is close with Cliffcry :D (late comment)
One off my queens were expecting kits, and one month before she got her kits her mate died. It had a special notice when she got her kits made me cry tbh

I found that overpopulation is less likely to happen in the update, since cats come in a lot slower. Also, if you send cats on duo patrols, there's special events that can up their relationship. Sorry if clangen isn't fun for you anymore. I like watching videos of people playing, since the stores are all very unique, but if you don't enjoy it I'm sure no one is purposefully trying to pressure you.

I only recently got into listening to Clangen videos while bored at work, and your series' are very interesting! I'm glad you're playing the updated version, as I find it much more interesting and less broken than the last version.

This version has a lot of cool new updates and honestly it just seems great for story purposes! Like I got a disgraced deputy from another clan who joined mine and a bunch of half-clan kits (no clue from which)! Cats can get lost and they're in the "cats outside of the clan" tab and you can see them trying to find their way back etc! Elders now seem to have specific roles? One of mine is a story teller and another a camp keeper! And there's special dialogue when a cat dies during the moon skip and another cat had a particular relationship with them (wether good, bad, family often has a reaction) and it's really neat! My first medecine cat even got exciled to the Dark Forest by my leader! Oh, also sometimes you get special dialogue just sending a cat out alone, I usually do it when they say they want to be alone today so I'm not sure if it's tied to that buut it's in the game!
One of my kitties got lost and I didn’t realize for seasons. Poor cat died out there being lonely, and didn’t even make it into StarClan to see their friends:(

In the web version that I play (because I have no computer) whenever I antagonize the kittypet or loner it says they drive them off the territory but I see them in my listed cats. It’s very weird
I'm on chromebook so the only way you can play on chromebook is through a link I found on reddit and it's the old version..Sooo there are a lot of male tortie's and I just do nothing of it. (sometimes I change the gender)
i've been trying to play clangen but cant!! i downloaded the file a bajillion times but i cant seem to open it!! when i open it, it just takes me to a screen with all the code!!! does anyone know how to fix this or help me actually play becuz ima dumbo? XD I play on Windows 10 btw!
If you don't want to play clangen nobody is forcing you to, unless you're trying to make a living off of youtube it should just be a hobby after all! :)
I actually made a post about this fairly recently- basically, to sum it up, when I played ClanGen in the past, I got a huge boost in revenue from people watching it, so I was able to afford therapy and my cats' medical/dietary needs and stuff. But when I stopped, viewers waned until I stopped getting youtube payouts, and I work a minimum wage job otherwise, and I was scraping by to afford everything this past month. So... yeah, I decided to bring back ClanGen. The update makes it a lot more fun anyway.
They could be. I think all my characters wind up autistic/autistic coded one way or another cuz I've got no idea how neurotypical people work and I tend to project a lot.

Great! I just reccomend sending medicine cats alone or with 1 other cat. It's better since it sort of wastes the other cats.

How do you get a new deputy or a new leader when the first one died?
Either appoint a new one by selecting "manage roles" on a cat's bio, or change the settings to turn on automatic selection of a new deputy.

This episode came out shortly after the January update. Since then the game has been updated once again in early February.
