    Interesting. Watching sabertooth pop two steelballs by one hit was quite unexpected for me.

    Low-key Phoenix carry match!!! Great job teaching how Phoenix can teleport across the map. If you stage them so each side gets countered at different times, you can have one side do their job, die, then reinforce the other side to double their value. This is optimal compared to having them die and respawn in one place to the same counter that killed them the first time.

      For 150, it's an A-tier tech that mitigates many active abilities vs air

      Im pretty sure they can resurrect twice per round, unless that was changed and i didnt catch it. EDIT: Nevermind, just paused to check and yes it was changed.
      The problem however was the EMP on the Farseer, which disables it immediately, at least in round 6.

    You know, I just have to mention: I'm really bothered by the fact that nobody ever, EVER picks Improved unit cards. Even though they're free, people will prefer to Skip rather than consider going for the improved unit, because the cost increase is always just considered way too crippling even for the significant power boost they give.

      I mean, sometimes, yeah, but they are picked occasionally. When you're keeping the unit for it's role as a counter, the increased stats aren't necessary, so the extra cost is just a barrier to entry. But when your going for a big single unit carry, the improved unit cards are amazing. Exact opposite of the mass produced ones, because at rank 1 the extra stats aren't worth the cost. But the upgrades cost the same amount, for much greater stats, so it's suddenly worth a ton. I've definitely seen an improved war factory game where it reached level 9 and just obliterated everything.
      They are definitely a rarely picked card, but i imagine the win rate on them is fairly high, because they are picked for a specific purpose.

      I often see carry Wasps or Wraiths played with Impro cards

      Its good, but can be risky imo. That's because the units are more expensive and if they die or you lose the round then your opponent gets more XP off of them.

      Impro phoenix into a phoenix vs marksman game is 100% woth it they can start tanking marksman shots. But otherwise you dont need it unless early giants and low level phoenixes

      I pick them in specific circumstances. If I already have some sledges down and I get improved sledges, hell yeah, gimme. I might not buy any more but just improving my few squads of sledges might be worth it. Stuff like that.

    I would not go 3 missile units vs an opponent who chooses a carry unit with anti missile.
    It is a time bomb of waiting until they hit critical mass...

    Seems to me the only reason sabertooth tanks are "bad" at AM work is because they're a single unit, whereas, say, a squad of mustangs has multiple AM guns going at once, increasing hit chances AND finishing the AM work sooner. Note that anti-missile guns say they start to lose effectiveness over time, meaning a long string of missiles will eventually start to get through; since a saber only has that one gun he has to fire longer bursts, losing effectiveness.
    For this reason I kind of enjoy putting storms in staggered rows so they fire long clusters of missiles; they hit a longer column and mitigate AM guns a bit on the side.

    Sabertooths are most cost effective anti missle unit. Mustangs lose because they stop doing damage to shoot down missles and die so easily. Farseers cost 100 more per unit for the same anti missle capability as the Sabertooth. War Factories have the best Anti missle but they are costliest unit in the game.

    I wonder why typhoons dont have a anti missile option

      I'm wondering that myself; their guns are already exactly the type of CIWS suited for shooting down missiles.

    i find much success with stromcallers in brawl, little in 1v1. they are only decent at countering other shit due to long range, but you can't really carry with them.

    How can it be worst AM in the game if the mustangs are worst?

    • @gojjiii
      @gojjiii 2 месяца назад +4

      The missile interception efficiency was increased by 40% on the mustangs. A few patches ago, They are actually good at AMI.

    • @crocidile90
      @crocidile90 2 месяца назад +1

      @@gojjiiiyeah, AM rank goes (best to worst) War Factory, mustangs, Farseer and Sabertooth. Though that said, mustang AM works as long as you opponent doesn't go heavy wraiths and overload stormcallers to make give mustangs the Goliath problem.... i.e. shoot missile or shoot enemy (ground or air, which Swann solves by making them shoot both at the same time).

      They are good ami, but only if they don't have to fight anything else and have means to stay alive.

      Mustangs (currently) are available at the start, whereas sabers are currently a drop. Mustangs also have multiple units in the squad meaning multiple guns shooting down any given missile sooner. This lets them process multiple missiles more easily and get back to attacking faster. They also move twice as fast so they can reposition easier. they can't attack and do AM work at the same time but beyond a certain point you're probably relying on bigger units to do the real damage anyway which means mustangs can focus on anti-missile work. If they die, they hopefully died stopping missiles from killing your carries.
      The saber's main advantages are that it's much tankier so it can actually survive the missiles it misses and that its AM gun is independent of its primary weapon. On the other hand, it's slow and more prone to wasting said primary gun on chaff. If it's your carry and it dies, well...sucks to be you. In other words, AM duty is secondary for the saber to protect itself, whereas the mustangs can focus entirely on the job if needed.
