Imagine frank and gus in a team... and every time gus gives frank heals , Frank heals for 6k Hp. I know now why i am not a game developer :( Edit Part 2- Better idea for gus if he needs a buff... instead of his second star power ( where you gain more damage) make a star power so that you can throw your charged shot anywhere you want( example wall , teammate etc.) also if you need more buffs make it so the first star power instead of extra healing just make you get the charged shot in 2 hits( i calculated ... In the long run i.e. a match it is better value).

I think he should be able to place the ghosts even when he misses, making it way more strategic to choose where you wanna put them down instead of just almost playing like they don't exist.
I think so too but it might be too strong with his explosion gadget since you could stack the ghosts onto a choke point and anyone who walks through there just gets insta killed if he uses it
Having Gus spawn ghosts only when he hits enemies seems to be a bad limitation on a good mechanic. During a match, your teammates would almost never stay on the enemy side of the map, the ghosts do almost no good to your team unless you are teamed with assassins. Having ghosts spawn when you hit enemies makes it seem a bit luck based, as their positions depend greatly on where your opponents decide to go, instead of where you want them to be. The ideal role of Gus would be a Support which requires strategic planning, putting healing spots in areas that may help your teammates push up a lane. The lack of choice only hinders the optimal position and usage of his utility. Therefore, Gus should be allowed to leave a balloon at the very end of an attack after charging his spirit bar. This makes his playstyle much more strategic and less reliant on enemy movement, while not being as braindead as Byron's healing for better consideration is needed when placing ghosts. Moreover, his super is a bit lacking for it misses too easily. Unlike Byron who can cast healing in an area and over walls. Gus can easily fail to give shields to teammates who truly need them during a fight (you wouldn't need a shield if you are not engaged in battle, you would fall back) and up an enemy lane. I suggest letting his super pass through walls, this lets him give better lane support in a match with a better area of aim. Anyway, great and highly detailed video as always. Great job!
This is exactly the same as my reasoning, except I would consider two more possible buffs for his super: 1) decrease decay 2) leave a balloon wherever it lands for some time or until used again Both options would increase it's flexibility by removing or reducing the need to have gus nearby during a fight, allowing the shield to be given or placed preemptively, with a lower risk to waste it. Since his super can only hit one ally, has no effect on enemies and unlike other similar supers it can miss or not reach the target, I think it would be a very good idea to make it easier to use.
I think that just buffing his speed to be above average would make him more versatile, or even just a damage buff so he can win 1v1 interactions better.
Give him a fourth ammo, and possibly increase his reload speed a little bit. This would increase his burst damage a bit, as well as increasing the number of ghosts he can get down. His super could home in on teammates. In team play this doesn't matter too much, but as a Byron player I expect hitting that super his gonna be really hard in soloq.
I feel like the only way to spawn a ghost shouldn't really be hitting an enemy, like often enemies are in their side of the map basically making teammates go to their side risking their death just to get healed 1000 hp, so here's some ideas: 1. i think it should just be the next attack in general should spawn the ghost no matter what after charging the bar. 2. Buff the healing to 1500. keep the star power 2000. i believe these small changes could make him better of a support since he kinda seems better off as a damage dealer instead but he isn't even good at that either. these changes COULD make him better but at the same time not *great* which i believe makes him a more balanced-ish support since he doesn't really do his job as one. edit: and if anything just take 1 hit off to charge the bar

Gus’s super seems not very strong when he uses it on himself and too risky for how hard it is to charge to use on teammates. An improvement I would add would be that his super projectile works a little like Piper’s second gadget where it homes to a teammate. His super could also be buffed so that if Gus chooses to throw his super and misses, he gains the benefits of the super. Another buff for Gus could be that he doesn’t need to hit an opponent to spawn a ghost, rather once he charges his spirit bar, the ghost will spawn where ever the next attack ends.
I think if he misses the super it could leave a balloon on the ground that Gus or his allies could pick up to get a shield. It would be a bit weaker than a shield recieved from a direct hit or auto-aim though.
fun fact: gus bio probably been updated before sneak peek cuz in the brawl talk we see a different bio that says he got lost at a forest or something for quite a while, no only that but the original bio was darker a lot from other brawler descriptions ans really makes gus creepy than he should

In organized teams I could see Gus being not bad, especially in a power league format But that reload speed is what’s probably gonna hold him back the most
In an organized ladder team, he’s going to be bad. It takes him 4 attacks to heal what poco can in 3 and Byron can in 1 1/2, and that’s with the extra health SP. In power league, there is not a reason to use him at all. Just use Byron if you need a ranged healer

I dont think you should make him too strong even if he's gonna be weak at release.. its a super rare... everyone will basically get him... but if you wanna make him stronger only increase his reload speed by a bit or increase his damage... at most that is Edit: if neither of these then gus should be able to use his healing ghost directly on his teammates as well

I think the biggest thing to make him better would be to allow him place ghosts when hitting walls (or just wherever he wants.) Having to hit an enemy to place one seems useless.
Personally, my favorite memories of this game were when new brawlers were absolutely OP on release. Thats IMO when brawl is most fun. Of course it gets old after awhile but supercell usually nerfs within weeks. Rosa meta was so hilarious and playing leon when he came out was the most fun I've had in this game period
About Gus, I think he could be a really good choice in modes like Bounty or Knockout. Because he has a decent range and could do a good job at keeping his teammates alive. In Gem Grab or in Brawl ball he is probably a bit worse and i think he sucks in evry other gamemode, but he is just superrare so i will get him eventually and i am happy about every new Brawler
It's honestly the opposite. He sucks at killing enemies and his healing is situational. I don't think in Bounty your teammates will ever have a chance to step on a spot where an enemy you hit was standing.

to buff him I would make it 3 shots to charge up the "ghost bar" and also make it so that when gus hits a wall the ghost can stay where the shot got interupted
This is probably one of the first times ever i would totally get and play a brawler just for their voice lines and personality. His voice is genuinely how i imagine Basil from Omori to sound like now.
Hey kairos, first off I love your videos and you are amazing. Second, a cool video idea is if you make a Olympic video of all test winners. So each brawler who has placed first in a test for example Sam who won the super charge test all go head to head in a overall olympics. I think this would be a great video that people would like to watch
This morning I got Bonnie from a mega box, and I played a match with boys. I saw in the kill feed, Gus's icon and was shocked that he was in the bot game. And, he used his super! This was pretty exciting.
Perhaps make his shield decay much slower or even not at all, his shield could also give a small damage reduction like maybe 30% perhaps as a star power however a better star power could be that his ghost could spawn if he hit a wall.
1: make gadget not take 30 percent hp but 10. 2: buff healing from ghost by 30% 3: faster reload 4: if he misses super he gets the shield 5: add a slight splash to ghost 6: faster unload speed/less shot delay
It's strange. I'm actually really excited for the prospect of a new brawler NOT being overpowered/really strong, but possibly being mediocre. We've had a lot of extremely OP brawlers these past few releases, so Gus & Sam Bronson being sort of balanced feels like a breath of fresh air.
I think Colette and Gus would be very good friends just talking about spike and being super fans of him also its kinda funny gus is a fan of spike considering his attacks and super are balloons
Gus is probably gonna be the epitome of the phrase “Great idea, terrible execution” He’s a support brawler first more than anything else, but even in that aspect it’s fundamentally backwards to have his support be based off of hitting enemies and landing ghosts on the other side He needs a few changes but overall I do like him
If they would buff him in some way they could then make it so that the ghost also spawn if he hits a wall. it would make it so that you have more control over where they might appear.
Yeah the ghost mechanic should have it so that the ghost goes wherever his next shot lands. This means that you would be able to hit it against a wall on your side and that's where it'll be. Also this could lead to some gadget setups in Brawl Ball where you have ghosts at certain chokepoints near your goal and you set off your gadget to get the ball away from them and deal some knockback. It's just unfortunate how in his current form he's just a far worse version of Byron in every way possible (except for base HP).

What I'd say would be nice nice small change is that his second star power gives the buff as long as the shield is up. Also a missed super could also spawn something
I made some ideas for a second star power. He could have one called “Jumpscare”(his super is now able to debuff enemies; lowers their speed or something) or one called “Ghost town”(he spawns a ghost any time he gets a kill.)
i've been waiting for this kind of shielding brawler for a while and i can say im really excited for gus ,tho it would've been amazing if his super had some kind of AoE dmg so you can use it either defensively or offensively
I think this brawler has to get 1 thing: PIERCING ATTACKS, he looks like a Byron that deals less damage, heal 1 every 5 attacks and with Just 1000 more health. I'd also like the ability to put the baloon where you want, without even hitting anyone and to make the super be on the ground if you miss It. Also the heal of his baloon Is 2/3 of a normal Byron Attack, make It heal 2000 damage and his shield to loose 4% of his health, with a shield of 4000 health. Also this meta Will be full of support brawlers (Pam, Poco, Ruffs), he Will be F tier or low C tier and I'm sad cuz this brawler looks really unique and fun. He Is prob. a Little bit stronger than Colette on realese, and she had 9 BUFFS After that, so I think it's fair
I feel like Gus has a lot of potential for hotzone and gemgrab because of his ghosts. If you could stack up several ghosts inside the hotzone, or near the gem spawner, then your teammates can play more aggressively with a lot less risk, which could be especially useful when trying to make a comeback in hotzone
i feel like hes gonna have to have some sort of buff like colletes, where he deals more damage to porters/turrets, because with that dps and reload speed, i see that as a total pain
Or maybe Gus could have a gadget which makes all the ghosts hostile towards the enemies, and make them deal as much damage as they heal, and they could be helpful in finding enemies hiding in bushes.
If casting his Super on a teammate / himself, then the Shield should knock Enemies back upon receiving it. This could be a Star Power but it would also make Gus a more valuable Support Brawler and make him less vulnerable against let's say Edgars.
Here's a fun fact about Otis that you might have not known! We all know his super can disable an enemy's attack, super and heck it even disables gadgets! However, It also disables your ability to remember he even released!
I had a brawler idea made by me a long time ago, didn't really thought about it much cuz my brawler had a ghostly vibe to it and most of brawlers in bs are not like that, but now gus is here so I want to share this idea.. 🙃🙂 Name :- Whisp (not final) Character design :- ghostly girl with a shroud/cloak like design Main attack :- ----- Super :- Destiny bond Casts out a magical spell on a teammate and bonding his hp to your (with 8-bit plugged in wire like animation) , 60% of damage taken by teammate will be transferred to you (so ye don't use on random mortises) the super button will still remain charged after using it on the teammate, but the icon on it will get changed, now you can attack an enemy with the super and bond your teammate to that enemy for the same 60% damage transfer shield (it will last for 5 sec so make sure your teammate transfer as much damage as possible) Gadget:- Magic spell :- casts a spell on the ground having 4500 hp but it's non solid ( means shots will pass through it) , has a zone around it (same radius as stu's gadget) 50% of damage taken by allies in that zone will be transferred to the turret until it get destroyed.. Sp :---------
His ghost placement is the only weird thing about his kit. I think that attacks that have ghosts on them should have shorter range, not do damage, and not cost ammo. The ghost would spawn wherever the attack ends, regardless of who or if it hits anyone That way he can place them more strategically.
1st of all supercell NEED to make his 4th shot make a heal ghost to all obstacles or even teammates. 2nd they really need to BUFF HIS 2ND GADGET like maybe make him take 10% DMG for a fully charged bar.
I think while Gus is on the weaker side, he can play very well in specific situations or if the right person is playing him. Defiantly could use a couple buffs though
I think that Gus might synergies very well with brawlers who have jumping supers. Just imagine a bunch of ghosts clumped up on the enemies side, and then Bony jumps in and takes out the entire area since she just keeps healing with the ghosts
Since KT wanted us to make balance change suggestions, I made a few. Don’t think last 2 are necessary, but it would be cool to see it. Damage- same as gene (1440) or Bonnie (1500) at max level. Healing- 1500 (starpower same) Ghost rework- every time you hit an ally or an enemy a ghost will drop Make hitting a turret or safe charge his spirit bar half as much as usual Every time Gus dies, his spirit bar goes down to 1 (unless he hasn’t charged yet) Optional starpower rework (take out 2nd)- every time Gus misses his super, it will be charged halfway (or like Beas 1st starpower where he gets a second chance) Optional super charge (may make him op) 4 hits
The closest thing we have to Gus currently, is probably Byron - a long ranged support brawler with heal mechanics and mid-to-low damage. With that in mind, I think a reload speed buffs would be the best thing for Gus - the reload speed nerf brought Byron right down from the meta, and I think a buff for Gus would probably do the opposite. The key with these brawlers who have the potential to heal on their basic attack, is that buffing anything to do with their normal attack, is huge - because healing on a basic (or at least having an ability to use the basic for healing purposes) is such a good ability, so being able to do it more and more often really improves the kit. That probably made zero sense lol
He needs a redesign, and im calling it, he eventually will. This is no new ability. Remember back in 2018, with mortis and frank? The same ability, albeit a bit different. They completely scrapped their sp, because I was flawed since the start, it wasn't good design and felt really weird. Mortis is a fast, close range brawler, and even then he sometimes struggled to collect his ghosts. Now imagine how difficult it will be for Gus (a long range support with below average stats) to go INTO the enemy area to collect a mere 1000 health (2000 with sp). A simple and nice way to fix it would be for him to drop the spirit wherever the balloon pops, be it an enemy, wall, nothing, or an ally. That would solve... everything, pretty much.
New Olympics idea! Poison Cloud. How far can a brawler travel in the cloud. Every brawler can use any abilities, healing, shield, dash. You can try this with the map maker Cloud. Hope you see this!

Gus definitely needs a reload speed buff and he can shoot the ghost wherever needed like behind a cover instead of hitting enemy to use as passive healing or can give teammates healing at the time needed.
when edgar and byron came out i was more hyped for byron because i thought hed be op. i was right. i think gus is going to be in a similar situation where he has HUGE potential if he plays back. he can deal some chip damage and provide a heal for close range brawlers like bull and rosa and provide shields from a distance. I feel like with pairings he will be a win condition in many teams.

I would buff him like that: Now,if you miss your super, spooky will sit down and wait when someone picks him up. Now you dont need to hit enemy to spawn ghost. You can just aim into a wall and at wall there will be ghost, if you will attack and it will not touch anything,ghost will appear in the end of his attack(last tile of his attack).
I love that Gus is one of the Brawlers who's olympics results don't necessarily reflect how strong he is in the grand scheme. I am super excited to see what kind of crazy plays people are going to pull with him. As a support main, I am super excited to play him! His character is so cool, I love spookies, and his kit seems super rewarding if you play correctly.

Here's my opinion: 1.his heal needs to be ramped up and is not on demand unlike others, i feel he should at least be able to shoot an ally to heal them when the spirit bar is full. 2.His range is nice, but his damage feels very low for how long his reload speed, i think his reload speed could use a slight bump potentially. It would potentially mean more frequent damage and healing 3.his super sounds awesome, i just hope it goes through walls considering poco's does, byron's is a throw and gus's super is harder to aim than both, and is only single target. Other than going through walls i don't personally think iy needs anything else.

He should be able to spawn a ghost whenever he hits anything, not only enemies. This way we can place the ghosts in more strategic/helpful locations. It feels wierd to put your healing ability on the enemies' side of the map
how to make gus stronger: 1. make his spirit charge on ANYTHING. pets, heist and bots included 2. make it so he can spawn the ghost if he hits his teamates (doesnt get charged though) 3.when you collect a ghost, you gain a shield (yellow one) for a short period. so it kinda solidifies his role as a shield-support brawler, instead if a generic healer 4. increase his range to be equivalent to sniper range, or increase his movement speed to fast 5. maybe make his super more aggressive. like when hitting an enemy, it adds a temporary bell mark. (kinda like a reverse shield)
Wassup, im ngl, but i started to main him more only bcs of the beatifull buff that he received with the knockback, but now even more for the Zombie skin that he gone receive in Brawlloween, i got kinda hyped for this

Here’s some improvements that I didn’t thoroughly think about: - When his spirit bar is full, it’ll let him heal his teammates a little and also drop the ghost near them. - Give him higher movement speed. - Exchange one of his star power with a new one where the enemies that touch the ghost will receive damage. - Exchange one of his gadget with a new one where he’ll pull the ghosts closer to him.
I think Gus needs a reload speed buff. He needs to land his shots in order to help his team, so a slow reload is a big detriment to him. I also think a super charge increase could be nice, his super can easily be wasted if missed. Also I think it's weird he needs to land his shot to spawn the ghost when his bar is charged, I would like it if the ghost spawned either way so you can throw the attack to a teammate or just put it in the back for later.
gus looks like a brawler that has a lot of potential, but not with his current stats. i sugest a a dmg buff to 1500 ,and the ability to charge his super in 4 hits instead of 5 ,and his sheild depletion rate should be lower then 10% ps. but overall i think gus is a great addition to the game.
Gus is either a ghost, or a possessed, little boy that's unaware. I love it and the trio for these brawlers..i didn't think new brawlers would excite me that much, but the spooky, cool, dark and mythical is my fav in any game. Would love to see a dragon related brawler too. xD One to this trio could be a queen witch, that's the one possessing Gus.
Buff idea: for his ghosts, if the player who touches it would recover to 100% HP with excess Heal, have a balloon button appear on that player's screen to activate the ghost (this is to avoid popping a ghost at 99% HP).... or just turn that excess heal into shield.
12:25 when his spirit bar is charged allow him to send the ghost even when he hits a wall just the wall tho if it's plain sight or teammates he'll be broken

I have SO much hype for Gus, thats my kind of gameplay on all games and I love the feeling of him in game!! Although I would love that you could place the phantoms even if u don’t hit an enemy, that would make him a great support!

Give him a fourth ammo, and possibly increase his reload speed a little bit. This would increase his burst damage a bit, as well as increasing the number of ghosts he can get down. His super could home in on teammates. In team play this doesn't matter too much, but as a Byron player I expect hitting that super his gonna be really hard in soloq.
I feel like the only way to spawn a ghost shouldn't really be hitting an enemy, like often enemies are in their side of the map basically making teammates go to their side risking their death just to get healed 1000 hp, so here's some ideas:
1. i think it should just be the next attack in general should spawn the ghost no matter what after charging the bar.
2. Buff the healing to 1500. keep the star power 2000.
i believe these small changes could make him better of a support since he kinda seems better off as a damage dealer instead but he isn't even good at that either. these changes COULD make him better but at the same time not *great* which i believe makes him a more balanced-ish support since he doesn't really do his job as one.
edit: and if anything just take 1 hit off to charge the bar

Gus’s super seems not very strong when he uses it on himself and too risky for how hard it is to charge to use on teammates. An improvement I would add would be that his super projectile works a little like Piper’s second gadget where it homes to a teammate. His super could also be buffed so that if Gus chooses to throw his super and misses, he gains the benefits of the super. Another buff for Gus could be that he doesn’t need to hit an opponent to spawn a ghost, rather once he charges his spirit bar, the ghost will spawn where ever the next attack ends.

I think if he misses the super it could leave a balloon on the ground that Gus or his allies could pick up to get a shield. It would be a bit weaker than a shield recieved from a direct hit or auto-aim though.

In an organized ladder team, he’s going to be bad. It takes him 4 attacks to heal what poco can in 3 and Byron can in 1 1/2, and that’s with the extra health SP.
In power league, there is not a reason to use him at all. Just use Byron if you need a ranged healer

Personally, my favorite memories of this game were when new brawlers were absolutely OP on release. Thats IMO when brawl is most fun. Of course it gets old after awhile but supercell usually nerfs within weeks. Rosa meta was so hilarious and playing leon when he came out was the most fun I've had in this game period
About Gus,
I think he could be a really good choice in modes like Bounty or Knockout. Because he has a decent range and could do a good job at keeping his teammates alive. In Gem Grab or in Brawl ball he is probably a bit worse and i think he sucks in evry other gamemode, but he is just superrare so i will get him eventually and i am happy about every new Brawler
but Byron does better than him in Knockout and Bounty if u wanna help teammates

I think he's a strange mix between Collete's exitement and Edgar's edginess.
It's honestly the opposite. He sucks at killing enemies and his healing is situational. I don't think in Bounty your teammates will ever have a chance to step on a spot where an enemy you hit was standing.

This morning I got Bonnie from a mega box, and I played a match with boys. I saw in the kill feed, Gus's icon and was shocked that he was in the bot game. And, he used his super! This was pretty exciting.
Perhaps make his shield decay much slower or even not at all, his shield could also give a small damage reduction like maybe 30% perhaps as a star power however a better star power could be that his ghost could spawn if he hit a wall.

It's strange. I'm actually really excited for the prospect of a new brawler NOT being overpowered/really strong, but possibly being mediocre. We've had a lot of extremely OP brawlers these past few releases, so Gus & Sam Bronson being sort of balanced feels like a breath of fresh air.

If they would buff him in some way they could then make it so that the ghost also spawn if he hits a wall. it would make it so that you have more control over where they might appear.
Yeah the ghost mechanic should have it so that the ghost goes wherever his next shot lands. This means that you would be able to hit it against a wall on your side and that's where it'll be. Also this could lead to some gadget setups in Brawl Ball where you have ghosts at certain chokepoints near your goal and you set off your gadget to get the ball away from them and deal some knockback.
It's just unfortunate how in his current form he's just a far worse version of Byron in every way possible (except for base HP).

What I'd say would be nice nice small change is that his second star power gives the buff as long as the shield is up. Also a missed super could also spawn something

I made some ideas for a second star power. He could have one called “Jumpscare”(his super is now able to debuff enemies; lowers their speed or something) or one called “Ghost town”(he spawns a ghost any time he gets a kill.)
i've been waiting for this kind of shielding brawler for a while and i can say im really excited for gus ,tho it would've been amazing if his super had some kind of AoE dmg so you can use it either defensively or offensively
That “Words aren’t always enough” at the very end punched me right in the heart.
I think this brawler has to get 1 thing: PIERCING ATTACKS, he looks like a Byron that deals less damage, heal 1 every 5 attacks and with Just 1000 more health.
I'd also like the ability to put the baloon where you want, without even hitting anyone and to make the super be on the ground if you miss It.
Also the heal of his baloon Is 2/3 of a normal Byron Attack, make It heal 2000 damage and his shield to loose 4% of his health, with a shield of 4000 health.
Also this meta Will be full of support brawlers (Pam, Poco, Ruffs), he Will be F tier or low C tier and I'm sad cuz this brawler looks really unique and fun.

I feel like Gus has a lot of potential for hotzone and gemgrab because of his ghosts. If you could stack up several ghosts inside the hotzone, or near the gem spawner, then your teammates can play more aggressively with a lot less risk, which could be especially useful when trying to make a comeback in hotzone
i feel like hes gonna have to have some sort of buff like colletes, where he deals more damage to porters/turrets, because with that dps and reload speed, i see that as a total pain
Or maybe Gus could have a gadget which makes all the ghosts hostile towards the enemies, and make them deal as much damage as they heal, and they could be helpful in finding enemies hiding in bushes.
If casting his Super on a teammate / himself, then the Shield should knock Enemies back upon receiving it. This could be a Star Power but it would also make Gus a more valuable Support Brawler and make him less vulnerable against let's say Edgars.

I had a brawler idea made by me a long time ago, didn't really thought about it much cuz my brawler had a ghostly vibe to it and most of brawlers in bs are not like that, but now gus is here so I want to share this idea.. 🙃🙂

Character design :- ghostly girl with a shroud/cloak like design
Main attack :- -----
Super :- Destiny bond
Casts out a magical spell on a teammate and bonding his hp to your (with 8-bit plugged in wire like animation) , 60% of damage taken by teammate will be transferred to you (so ye don't use on random mortises) the super button will still remain charged after using it on the teammate, but the icon on it will get changed, now you can attack an enemy with the super and bond your teammate to that enemy for the same 60% damage transfer shield (it will last for 5 sec so make sure your teammate transfer as much damage as possible)
Gadget:- Magic spell :- casts a spell on the ground having 4500 hp but it's non solid ( means shots will pass through it) , has a zone around it (same radius as stu's gadget) 50% of damage taken by allies in that zone will be transferred to the turret until it get destroyed..

His ghost placement is the only weird thing about his kit. I think that attacks that have ghosts on them should have shorter range, not do damage, and not cost ammo. The ghost would spawn wherever the attack ends, regardless of who or if it hits anyone That way he can place them more strategically.
I honestly kind of hoped Gus would have a gadget that would make him fly in the air like Janet for 3 seconds. That would be fun.

I think that Gus might synergies very well with brawlers who have jumping supers. Just imagine a bunch of ghosts clumped up on the enemies side, and then Bony jumps in and takes out the entire area since she just keeps healing with the ghosts

Since KT wanted us to make balance change suggestions, I made a few. Don’t think last 2 are necessary, but it would be cool to see it.
Damage- same as gene (1440) or Bonnie (1500) at max level.
Healing- 1500 (starpower same)
Ghost rework- every time you hit an ally or an enemy a ghost will drop
Make hitting a turret or safe charge his spirit bar half as much as usual
Every time Gus dies, his spirit bar goes down to 1 (unless he hasn’t charged yet)
Optional starpower rework (take out 2nd)- every time Gus misses his super, it will be charged halfway (or like Beas 1st starpower where he gets a second chance)

The closest thing we have to Gus currently, is probably Byron - a long ranged support brawler with heal mechanics and mid-to-low damage. With that in mind, I think a reload speed buffs would be the best thing for Gus - the reload speed nerf brought Byron right down from the meta, and I think a buff for Gus would probably do the opposite.
The key with these brawlers who have the potential to heal on their basic attack, is that buffing anything to do with their normal attack, is huge - because healing on a basic (or at least having an ability to use the basic for healing purposes) is such a good ability, so being able to do it more and more often really improves the kit. That probably made zero sense lol

Nope, that's a terrible idea
He needs a redesign, and im calling it, he eventually will. This is no new ability. Remember back in 2018, with mortis and frank? The same ability, albeit a bit different. They completely scrapped their sp, because I was flawed since the start, it wasn't good design and felt really weird. Mortis is a fast, close range brawler, and even then he sometimes struggled to collect his ghosts. Now imagine how difficult it will be for Gus (a long range support with below average stats) to go INTO the enemy area to collect a mere 1000 health (2000 with sp).
A simple and nice way to fix it would be for him to drop the spirit wherever the balloon pops, be it an enemy, wall, nothing, or an ally. That would solve... everything, pretty much.
So excited for Gus! I even made a Brawl Theory about him yesterday, he's so connected to the Starr Park lore and I'm here for it! :D

Gus definitely needs a reload speed buff and he can shoot the ghost wherever needed like behind a cover instead of hitting enemy to use as passive healing or can give teammates healing at the time needed.
when edgar and byron came out i was more hyped for byron because i thought hed be op. i was right. i think gus is going to be in a similar situation where he has HUGE potential if he plays back. he can deal some chip damage and provide a heal for close range brawlers like bull and rosa and provide shields from a distance. I feel like with pairings he will be a win condition in many teams.

Now you dont need to hit enemy to spawn ghost. You can just aim into a wall and at wall there will be ghost, if you will attack and it will not touch anything,ghost will appear in the end of his attack(last tile of his attack).
That will make him valuable teammate and will make him decent brawler in solo shoudown.

I love that Gus is one of the Brawlers who's olympics results don't necessarily reflect how strong he is in the grand scheme. I am super excited to see what kind of crazy plays people are going to pull with him. As a support main, I am super excited to play him! His character is so cool, I love spookies, and his kit seems super rewarding if you play correctly.
I feel like he's honestly too weak, specially compared to other healers.
Here's my opinion:
1.his heal needs to be ramped up and is not on demand unlike others, i feel he should at least be able to shoot an ally to heal them when the spirit bar is full.
2.His range is nice, but his damage feels very low for how long his reload speed, i think his reload speed could use a slight bump potentially. It would potentially mean more frequent damage and healing
3.his super sounds awesome, i just hope it goes through walls considering poco's does, byron's is a throw and gus's super is harder to aim than both, and is only single target. Other than going through walls i don't personally think iy needs anything else.

how to make gus stronger:
1. make his spirit charge on ANYTHING. pets, heist and bots included
2. make it so he can spawn the ghost if he hits his teamates (doesnt get charged though)
3.when you collect a ghost, you gain a shield (yellow one) for a short period. so it kinda solidifies his role as a shield-support brawler, instead if a generic healer
4. increase his range to be equivalent to sniper range, or increase his movement speed to fast
5. maybe make his super more aggressive. like when hitting an enemy, it adds a temporary bell mark. (kinda like a reverse shield)

Here’s some improvements that I didn’t thoroughly think about:
- When his spirit bar is full, it’ll let him heal his teammates a little and also drop the ghost near them.
- Give him higher movement speed.
- Exchange one of his star power with a new one where the enemies that touch the ghost will receive damage.
- Exchange one of his gadget with a new one where he’ll pull the ghosts closer to him.
Almost every time I use Gus in Bounty kr knockout, I have the most takedowns. Gus is so underrated
I think Gus needs a reload speed buff. He needs to land his shots in order to help his team, so a slow reload is a big detriment to him. I also think a super charge increase could be nice, his super can easily be wasted if missed. Also I think it's weird he needs to land his shot to spawn the ghost when his bar is charged, I would like it if the ghost spawned either way so you can throw the attack to a teammate or just put it in the back for later.
gus looks like a brawler that has a lot of potential, but not with his current stats.
i sugest a a dmg buff to 1500 ,and the ability to charge his super in 4 hits instead of 5 ,and his sheild depletion rate should be lower then 10% ps.
but overall i think gus is a great addition to the game.

I love it and the trio for these brawlers..i didn't think new brawlers would excite me that much, but the spooky, cool, dark and mythical is my fav in any game. Buff idea: for his ghosts, if the player who touches it would recover to 100% HP with excess Heal, have a balloon button appear on that player's screen to activate the ghost (this is to avoid popping a ghost at 99% HP).... or just turn that excess heal into shield.

I have SO much hype for Gus, thats my kind of gameplay on all games and I love the feeling of him in game!! Although I would love that you could place the phantoms even if u don’t hit an enemy, that would make him a great support!
