I love the idea of the "full moon forays"!! I use Google Calendar to schedule all of my work and on-call commitments and therefore, also holiday periods but I hadn't thought of using it as the impetus to kick me over the doorstep into the great outdoors. Thanks Alistair. :)
Ahhh…the calendar advice. Agreed. Totally. And I do try, I promise I do. But when I look back through that calendar, oh so many gaps and then I have to ask myself, so what did I do during all those gaps? Best not to dwell on that! Though I do know the extended lunch break today was spent watching a guy on you tube banging on about…..🤔….oh well, moving swiftly on! 🤣
Right on Alastair, thank you from Aotearoa NZ 😊 My weekend tramp just got canned, but it's winter solstice on Friday, so I'm keeping my dog care booking and my extra day's annual leave Monday, and I'll go do some local adventures including a wild brew somewhere lovely!
I am just halfway through your book ("MOODS OF FUTURE JOYS") when I realized that I had no idea how old you are and if you're still among us on this planet :-D I decided to look you up and had a small glimpse of hope to see an interview of sorts with you, to know your voice. I like to read books with my inner voice sounding like the authors actual voice. I was delighted to see that only 19 hours ago you most recently uploaded a video. This video - which I will enjoy during lunch break now. Fantastic book by the way, I can hardly put it away.
@@al_humphreys haha :D I just saw your reply - and it fit perfectly, just minutes ago I showed my fiance your quote about the people in Sudan (which I highlighted, because it was so touching). Meanwhile, I am already done with book one and are now right in the middle of "Thunder and Sunshine". I am not sure you know Martijn Doolards bike journey? I am sure you'd absolutely love it. Greetings from Austria - I'll keep up with your channel from now on 💚

I’m not out there because it is winter here in NZ and I’m a fair weather adventurer 😝

Haha! My beard is somewhat greyer than when I cycled across the desert in Sudan...

I’m watching this while wild camping in the woods!
You win! That's great!
Vote Green! Unless in a marginal Tory seat I suppose...
