I feel your pain! My husband hated all my names for our children too! He likes very traditional names and I like fairly uncommon names! We had to settle on Harriet for our little girl in the agreement that she’d be called Hattie! So that’s a traditional name you can shorten! Also if you like posh sounding names what about; Penelope (penny), Matilda (Tilly), Beatrice or Beatrix (B/ Bee, trix, tris), Felicity (lissy/Lis) Nancy, Betsy (B), Edith (Edie, E), Margot, camilla (cam, Millie), Adelaide (addy, Ada), primrose (prim) Delilah, Elsie. xx
Those are all such lovely names (hope you can get Neil to agree on one too haha) - I really love Fay, Juliette, Eleanor, Robyn, Aubrey and Louise for girls! x
Here is a list of names I think you might like - they are old fashioned but don’t sound to weird 😊 . Elsie . Elodie . Jenny . Betty . Vivien ( spelt like Vivien Lee the beautiful actress ) . Kathleen ( my great great grandmothers name ) . Shirley . Shelley . Julie . Lottie . Hannah ( I think it’s a nice friendly sounding name and it it sounds nice with Phoebe ) . Courtney I hope you like these 💛x
I think Jemima would go really well with Phoebe. Also what about Fern, Felicity, Nancy, Zara, Tess, Matilda, Harriet/Hattie, Bridget, Imogen, Mabel. My top tip... I had my heart set on so many names that were vetoed, and it was only with the third and last baby that we hadn't decided on a name before birth. My usually chill partner became so panicked at this situation that he started suggesting great names at a rate I was desperately hoping he'd for while I was still pregnant, but at this point I was loving too many names too much to narrow down so didn't want to consider any new ones. By day 3, where I was quite happy just calling him baby, my partner even suggested the names I loved that had previously been vetoed. Such was his desperation to name him. Could be worth a try for Martha...
I have 2 boys and a girl. Boy names came so easy but it was so hard to choose a girl name. Like you I like traditional names. The names I liked was Eleanor, Gwendolyn, primrose and Rosalie but went with Bethany and her middle name is MaryAnn. I just think it sounds lovely. It was hard to to come up with a name but once I heard The name Bethany I loved it for her.

Loving the videos! Thank you :)
My cousin is called Tabitha and we all call her Tabby. I think its lovely, would never have even thought cat :) I've had a think about the sort of names you say you like, and also listed names of people I went to school with (I'm same age as you) as you said you like the names of our generation: Margot Lucy Lucinda Amelie Amelia Sophie Sophia Isabelle (my name) Charlotte Hattie (Can be short for Harriet or just Hattie) Hettie (Can be short for Henrietta or just Hettie) Alice Emily Emma Hannah Eleanor Grace Victoria Abigail Georgina Georgia Felicity Penelope Lydia Eliza Elsie Annabelle Heidi Jemima Lara Katie Amy Rachel Camilla Chloe Leah Madeline Maddison Rebecca I hope this is helful for you! :)
My son was born 28 years ago and my bump was always called Jack even though we didn't know what sex we were having. He was named after my grandad who was called John but known as Jack. Your right Jess it is such a strong, punchy name. We didn't even put it with a middle name because it's enough just to say 'Jack'.💗 My husbands mum was called Madeline and I love that for a girls name. Shortened to Maddie or Mads.
Genevieve? Lots of abbreviations and not too common either! Not sure if it’s your style but Vivienne? I can imagine little P and baby V, Vivi or Viv. Also another traditional name that I think goes well with Phoebe is Audrey :) Same number of letters and syllables too! Alice with the nickname Ali would be also be adorable. Names are so hard, it’s a such a personal thing! Try nameberry, great name resource and if you click girl there are various categories such as 100+ cool classic names below the top 1000 in popularity - might be helpful! Can’t wait to hear what you end up deciding on :)
@@JVCxo I know a Vivienne known as Vivi 😍 and a few Violets often called V. Met a teen Verity the other day too which I loved. P and V would be super cute I agree. Check out the Dark Greener names website for current name popularity stats.
I find it quite funny that P is Phoebe Olivia as I’m Phoebe and my brother is Oliver so you’ve merged both me and my brother in one😂 I had Phoebs, Fifi, Fee, Phoebo, Bebe, Fobo and all sorts - in amongst more misspellings than I can even mention! Febe being a personal favourite! 😩😂 x

This was on my list for P! I’d shorten it too, clearly I have a thing for letters 😂😂
Absolutely love Tallulah!!! Tallulah Belle is beautiful. Georgia is my daughter’s middle name and sometimes wish I called her this as her first name.
