Sienna, the weird camera angles (the excessive zoom on the cutscenes) and the characters flickering as they move happen because of the very high framerate, you have to limit it to 30-35 FPS (there are simple mods that do just that). Either that or get the Xbox version, there are less bugs in it. Just please, don't let these small flaws drive you away from this game, it is amazing!
Yeah pretty much a common problem with playing older games from this era on PC at framerates the games were not designed for. Remember how in Far Cry 2 npc's would Shake around if you played at a high framerate.
I've seen playthroughs where the guy just capped the FPS at 60 and played it without any bugs, so I don't know. I think it depends on the game version as well. As a modder myself, I know there is an older version where there aren't many bugs that runs a lot smoother as well, but then in later updates they just screwed the game back up.
I used to get annoyed with the dull colors but now I get that it really set the tone for the atmosphere and the game itself. Doesn't bother me anymore. I can actually appreciate it it more now than I did back then... 🤷♂️
@@ari_a2764nah it's definitely 2008. Did a quick Google search to confirm, but I'm almost certain all numbered GTA games is satire based on the time period it comes out, but the older subtitled games are set in different time periods (SA - 90s, VC - 70s, etc).
One thing: when you reach your destination before the dialogue ends, you miss the rest of the conversation. I suggest you to wait for it to finish before getting to the marker so you don't miss anything :)
I consider the game's driving so underrated. I personally loved how heavy the car felt, it was like an extra skill to develop to where if you were good at driving you were a veteran at the game.
Still my favorite GTA game, and one of my favorite games of all time. Everything about it is just perfect. The music, atmosphere, vibe and story. It's challenging but not too difficult once you wrap your head around how it works. The story is more dark and mysterious compared to other GTA games, and that's what I love about it.

I loved how compacted Liberty City felt from the items on the street to the trash, Large amount of buildings you can enter it was very immersive feeling. The npc's are great, physics are better than GTA V which had to cut down on a few things so they could focus on other aspects like having a larger world. Love the small details as well from cops wearing waterproof hats and coats when it's raining to being able to pick up items off the ground to use as weapons. Still love GTA V but I hope GTA VI bring these back, RDR2 mixed with GTA IV and GTA V with new improvements is what we need with GTA VI. And 100% recommand using a controller for driving, basic movement, and hand to hand combat. The GTA games have never been great on Mouse and Keyboard.
@dudeguyr Awful and awkward movement, Awful flight controls, Hand to hand combat is off and the button layout is just plain awkward. Only benefit from mouse and keyboard is the gunplay but everything else is just a mess. RDR2 funny enough I found to be better on Mouse and Keyboard same with Max Payne 3 but GTA IV is just plain awful on Mouse and Keyboard.
@sahirdamani1264 Yeah I always use to have that setting (vehicle density) on 75 as if it gets higher the game will unfortunately start glitching out, I play on PC

The fact that Niko and Roman didn't have a bigger part in Grand theft Auto 5 is one of the most disappointed things they could have left out only about once or twice he was mentioned in that game but we all know who the true OG's are Niko, Roman and CJ. GTA IV also had two of the greatest endings in my opinion Deal and Revenge

Driving is already hard enough in GTA IV but Sienna is making it appear 10x more difficult 😂🤣. Those random zooms you are getting in cutscenes are bugs. They are not normal.
Going down the stairs with your side first is like a tactical habit. Keeping your firearm ready and accurate is easier going down on your side first. Joel most likely learned through surviving and Niko learned it most likely in the Navy. I do the same thing cause i did some building clearing training in college haha
Somewhat controversial statment given that San Andreas and 5 exist but.. GTA4 is my favorite GTA game and if you ask me it's the best in the series don't @ me I'll gladly fight you over it

I read Steam has a zooming problem so I only play GTA 4 on the X-Box 360. It’s weird people confuse Niko with Johnny. Johnny was the one who was stomped on by Trevor. I never understood why Johnny kept dating Ashley when she never changed her ways. I’m surprised how different Ashley looks in GTA 5 though compared to GTA 4.

When I played this for a first time it was so fun to hear clear Russian voices on the streets with no accents. If one day, Sienna, you would like to play something in GTA style you can try True Crime NY, it is awesome too.
Something that you notice immediately is the more realistic handling of vehicles and also a lot better physics as well, these are the things that i really didn't like in GTA V especially motorcycles are horrible in GTA V. Driving with keyboard controls is not so nice but shooting is way better, i personally prefer to use a controller when playing GTA games
I played it on Xbox due to the terrible optimization and bugs on PC. Loved it. Hope you enjoy it Sianna. If I’m not wrong you can play it on your Series S at 60 fps.
GTA v is more lighthearted and a bit of a parody of the current events during the time it was released in 2013. GTA iv was more gritty and dark and a serious story

I started playing gta 4 a few days ago, since years ago my computer was quite weak, the game is definitely very good, even looking at comparisons with the five, how things are done in the four, the decision making in some missions, the story itself and the scenario . I definitely recommend :) I will follow your videos with interest.
The camera angles are weird during cutscenes, because the game was made back when almost everyone had a 4:3 TV and the PS3 and Xbox 360 supported both 4:3 and 16:9 resolutions. Some people had 16:9, but it wasn't the standard yet.

Sienna make sure limit the games frame rate to 60fps otherwise you will get a lot of glitches. Also this game has 2 endings so make sure you rock 2 save files.

I do wanna suggest after the game... play both dlc's the lost and the damned (my favorite) and the ballad of gay tony simply bc all 3 stories tie in together!!! I guess it doesnt matter which comes first but "L&D" is a biker gang dlc (fkn AWESOME) 😊
You have to do just a straight-up explore playthrough there's so many things you can do in find throughout this map not sure if you went to the liberty statue and seen the beating heart inside or the swing glitch over in ghetto or just hopping in the police car and becoming a police officer and trying to hunt down the most wanted or gang activity etc picking up burgers or paper off the ground and chucking them at people to kill them 😂 I will also say that GTA 4 online was one of the best experiences ever

@@CaptainAmercia I play San Andreas a lot, and if the framerate is too high, you can't move while aiming a gun and the cars don't reverse LOL
Also I'm sure there are mods that allow you to play at higher fps. There have to be after all those years.

PC Version is fine nothing wrong with it but it's upto you.
