My number 1 would've been when Frank yells at Raymond for making fun of Debra after finding out her reaction to him not waking up from the operation. "I saw your wife fall apart, and I never want to see her like that again!"
But seriously the hell was wrong with Ray thinking so low about his wife? I mean she thought you ALMOST died! Have some sympathy before Raying up the situation.
#1 absolutely heartbreaking. As a sister who lost her brother, when Robert says I'm his brother, I can wake him up. That's some powerful stuff. And that look of utter loss on Frank's face. Best actors for this show, they had a great dynamic. I'd forgotten the scene but rewatching it now, I can completely relate.
The look on Frank’s face at 6:50 is just so impactful, a father thinking “oh my god my son almost died”, especially how that plays in later with his conversation with Marie is just really great writing.
@@georgevarughese4886 it was after he got gored by bull , I will have to watch it again, I have whole show on DVD its definetely in Season 4 might be Roberts Rodeo.
When Robert defends Ray, it goes to show that blood really is thicker than water. I’m an older brother myself and nobody mocks my brother or disrespects him in any other way but me.
Yep. That is your birth-right and sibling privilege. When you see the mocking or disrespect, you instinctively take it a lot more seriously than if the exact same thing happened to you.
I remember seeing this episode when it aired and when they had that scene I was like "No! They're not going to end the show this way!" We were so afraid they were gonna end the series with Ray dying, but breathed a sigh of relief when that's not what they did.
When Frank says "you're like my daughter" that's about the greatest complement you can have in a lifetime. He tried to cover it up with humor but that's the first time he called Deborah his daughter 🥰😭😭😭
This is why I loovee the show. People don't care much about ELR and always regard Friends higher. I agree, Friends was *really* good and unforgettable. If that show was about friendship, ELR is all about family. I learnt a lot on how you should treat fellow family members from this show than I did from my own family 🙂
For me, FRIENDS was about growing up, dating, hanging out with your friends, and discovering who you are. Just some really good times in my early years. ELR is about being married, having kids, and overall being an adult. BOTH are wonderful shows about different places in your life. FRIENDS ❤ ELR ❤ 👏
Jesus dude why does everyone bring up FRIENDS as the standard to compare sitcoms to I see this on videos like Frasier, here, Seinfeld. They couldn't be anymore different. Just enjoy this show and let others enjoy what they like. Also I might add Friends was not regarded higher it was a ratings monster but it never really always won major awards or anything. This show actually got more acclaim then friends never did. The only reason FRIENDS it was just more appealing you literally can't compare the two.
The one where frank says “i like you better without the crap on your face” and then after they actually kiss....that’s the only time in the show they actually kiss
@Lawrence Rodriguez yes Frank had many soft moments on the show I liked his character he was a grumpy old guy but he was real in that sense and deep down you could see the love he had for his family even though he didn't show it that often lol
Lawrence Rodriguez yep, Frank actually had a heart, he genially loved his boys, he didn’t want them to go through what he did, believe it or not there are some people who grow up abused and actually treat there kids nicely cause they don’t want to repeat the same mistakes
This show is so underrated. Absolutely hilarious writing, phenomenal actors who make their lines ten times funnier, relatable to everyone, some of the most memorable characters in sitcom history, etc. An occasionally the show goes a step further to remind us that they are a family, and the foundation of all the bickering and insults in arguing that make us laugh is love. Possibly the greatest sitcom of all time, imo.

One of my favorite scenes has always been in "A Vote for Debra" when Ray says, "And now I actually find out that you tell people you don't know me? I would never do that to you..." And then the silence afterward when they both realize that they've really hurt the other person.
No one's going to mention an early season Christmas episode where Ray figures out his dad fake autographed a famous baseball??? Ray even kisses Frank on the head... Dressed as Santa. Extremely underrated episode!
Soo true!! Kissing on the head... got me so emotional... I watched in some video that the producers requested Raymond to do it only if he can because they know how he hates doing that but when the scene happened he had the strength to do it naturally and I'm soo thankful he did.
this compilation is everything! that’s what i love about the show! It’s filled with great characters and some funny scenes, but it’s all about the clips in this vid. family. sticking up for one another. i thought of these and many more heartwarming scenes such as ray helping robert with the bandage. ray taking pictures of robert to fake the modeling agency. and my favorite when ray buys allie the dress for the party even though it was tons of money
THIS... is one of the best sitcoms ever. No wonder I loved it as a child, and to this day. A lot of humanity, heart, and integrity to balance the insanity and shenanigans.
Writing on this show was solid gold, and the actors knew this and did it justice. Thankyou for so much for uploading. If I had to add, there are 2 moments missing- “youre not my brother” from the loan episode, and Franks “life is tough” speech from the ping pong episode.
Great actors-people-show! One of the all time best ever! HOWEVER-There was one scene I recall where Frank went off on Raymond and it was all because of how hard he had worked and what he did day in and day out at work for his family-his sacrifice. I think Ray was questioning his Dads "was it all worth it or something like that and Frank lost it defending his life. It was very emotional and well played and brought tears to my eyes as some of these did before and now too.
Yes, something about how he HATED working in an office, having to wear a suit and tie and deal with people in that line, basically the antithesis of who he was, all so he could provide them with opportunity. And all the while pretending he was ok.
The one with ray writing about roberts bravery, I always like the scene when ray is back from the ride along telling his mom and dad about what happened. Both Marie and Frank scream we know what he does, don't remind us, showing just how much they both worry about Robert and his job.
*I couldn't.. I don't know.. I was always weaker than him..* I thought he would say something like, "I couldn't bear to hit my children," or even "I don't want to be like him," like what Robert say.. But to see himself being lousier, inferior, weaker than his father strikes a chord in me.. :'(

He says he was weaker, because he wants to still sound like a tough guy. That is not the reason he didn't hit them. "I couldn't bear to hit my kids" that is probably the truth but Frank Barone can't say something sissy like that.
Somehow, in these kind of shows, it is such scenes that hit really, really hard. Becsue, they instantly show to the viewers, the real love for one another that a family has and that the fights, the arguments and all that is actually the glue that holds it together. The best performance by all the actors is not in their funny scenes; those are easy. It is here, in these scenes. Honestly, for me, this is THE best compilation of scenes in this show. Thanks a lot, Mikey D, for this wonderful collection. Just loved it, as a reminder of what a family is all about. Regards and greetings from India.
I love the part where in the ray almost dies series finale episode, Frank yelled at Raymond for ever thinking Debra wouldn’t be sad he died. He said “I never want to see her cry like that again!”

The hospital scene, afterwards in Ray’s bedroom when everyone opens up to how they felt when they heard the news, Ray saying he loves Debra, and the closing scene of everyone eating breakfast together joking and laughing. Great ending to a great show
I cannot believe the Christmas episode where Ray finds out that Frank's gift of a Mickey Mantle baseball when Ray was a child wasn't actually signed by Mickey Mantle, but by Frank himself. When Ray finds out he is pissed, until Frank tells him the story of how he tried, and tried to get Mantle to sign it. Then he practiced Mantle's signature for weeks. After the story, Ray is contrite and then kissed frank on the head. THAT should be Top 3.
