ABC7 On Your Side: Cancers Concerns in Suffolk County School District

A recent New York Department of Health Study found "statistically significant elevations of various cancers" in the Northport community in Suffolk County.
The Northport East Northport Middle School even had to temporarily close after chemical toxins were found.
Current and former students represented by Napoli Shkolnik are pursuing a class-action lawsuit against the district for negligence.
Napoli Shkolnik's attorney Lilia Factor speaks to ABC7 about the case.
The report shows that the number of people with cancer living within the entire school district is statistically significant, especially for pancreatic, uterine, and prostate cancer.
Lymphoma (type of cancer) was found in many young adults.
