Very nice video. Beautiful place and awesome timber. They must have a good reason not to use hot saws for felling. What is the reason? I use the Waratah head for processing. Made there in NZ. Thanks
I guess a few reasons. They don’t import the wheeled harvesters here I think, tracked harvesters are more suited to the terrain and more versatile. Theres are forwarders around but skidders are more suited to the terrain and production. Also the wood is pretty bug and heavy here in alot of place’s too.

Im not sure the hot saws are legal here. Thats what I heard years ago anyway. Also dangle heads are more versatile
