      @@trevonpernell0814 2002 browns make the playoffs only to lose in a heartbreaking loss to the Steelers. 2007 browns have a decent record at 10-6 only to miss the playoffs because of the Steelers. I’d say those years were mediocre at best

    • @lukas187x
      @lukas187x 3 года назад +5

      You know what's worse? The ineptitude of the Browns has been such a punchline that it's now the low hanging fruit equivalent of an insult. That's what I hate about the Browns, even when things are getting better now: people STILL throw out "Cleveland Browns" as a casual insult, mainly from people who are too creatively sterile and can't insult their way out of a wet paper bag.

    • @enthusiastofcute
      @enthusiastofcute 3 года назад +13

      @@lukas187x can you really blame them? There’s a reason why the Browns are mocked, it’s because they were the gold standard of ineptitude and failure until very recently. The only way to stop such mockery is to win a super bowl.

    The Patriots weren't quite as close to leaving as was indicated. They wanted to move, and there was interest in it, but a previous owner had sold Foxboro Stadium to Kraft, and Kraft had a clause inserted in the contract stating that if the team ever abandoned the stadium for any reason, they would owe Kraft for the price he paid for it, plus any upkeep or improvements, plus some other costs, and no matter how much people begged and pleaded, Kraft refused to budge. He was not going to be stuck with a useless stadium, and he put that clause in the contract to protect himself. So, in the end he was able to purchase the team for a rockbottom price.

    The Browns could've easily made this list again with their streak from 2009-2013...from Mangini, to Pat Shurmur, to Mike Pettine. It was absolutely unwatchable trash with no hope for the future except for new ownership, which only lasted about a year because of a rebate scandal happening within Pilot-Flying J. Then there was Mike Holmgren with his 10-2 workdays on a $40 million contract. The man stole that money from the Browns.

    Oh Boy! I finally got my season tickets! I wonder how much history and good football I'm going to see over the next 5 years or so?

    If this was made one year later, the Jets would definitely be on this list 2016-2021.

    It's very nice of you to only look at those five years and not 15. But thankful my Browns are looking nothing like those years

    Update:
    My raiders have made it to the playoffs twice now since the super bowl loss to the Bucs. We also haven’t had a losing season in Vegas yet,
    (Hope I can update this again after next season lol)

    "they showed patience with Warren Moon...." what an idiotic ass statement. Moon was clearly a huge talent, and if they would've stupidly benched him after the '86 season due to stats, NONE of their playoff appearances from '88-'93 would've happened

    Bad 5 year stretches? Ah yes, the Raiders...For like 14 years.
