He was not going to be stuck with a useless stadium, and he put that clause in the contract to protect himself. So, in the end he was able to purchase the team for a rockbottom price.

It was absolutely unwatchable trash with no hope for the future except for new ownership, which only lasted about a year because of a rebate scandal happening within Pilot-Flying J. Then there was Mike Holmgren with his 10-2 workdays on a $40 million contract. The man stole that money from the Browns.
Update: My raiders have made it to the playoffs twice now since the super bowl loss to the Bucs. We also haven’t had a losing season in Vegas yet, (Hope I can update this again after next season lol)
