When a person is aethist .. he/she tends to seek answer in a more logical way or proven way than his/her faith/believes Or else it could be from school learnings .. So that could be a reason for a person with non-scientific background found his way into science/facts. Also, i didn't say that's the reason .. just said it could be a reason... Especially after hailing from a religious family. Hopefully the context is clear.

Maybe that's why emile became aethist...it's just an opinion. And we can say another person's opinion is wrong. That's wat make opinion special 🙂 Either ways , we can't ignore the possibility that emile being an aethist could be a reason for his interest towards positivism. ( Again it's an opinion) And after all sociology is all about your view on society and how u interpret it. And please let's not tag anyone as believer or atheist or whatever over comments.
