    The silence is unfair, both to the fans and to people of Wrexham. Someone needs to pull the finger out and inform the public what the delay is and why.

      Of course, the last thing we were told was construction would begin at the end of this season. That is obviously not happening now. I am not saying we need to know the ins and outs of everything but it would be nice to know the jist of it.

      @@WrexhamAFCfanzone@WrexhamAFCfanzone 100% I guess I am more used to the NF/NBA, where it takes the act of Congress to find out what is actually happening. The EFL seems to be somewhat more open and quick to act than I am used to.. one of the fun things I am learning about all this.

    I like these videos. You do a really good job of explaining the issues and providing information.
    I am questioning its size. Will it be big enough for the number of people coming in along with the existing seats? Obviously, you shared that they are looking to make it and other improvements modular for further expansion, but it is too unrealistic to get 25-50k people coming in at some point for home matches down the line. The information I have seen was that the average attendance was 12-13k now. ...and forgive me if I am stepping out of line with the questioning,, it is difficult to get information in the US about the ongoings.

      Thanks so much, I am glad you like the content. I think down the line we could fill maybe 25 -30,000. If we go up to the championship I think 30 -35,000 would be well enough. As we stand now we don't have enough tickets. The club will have to gauge how many home fans want tickets, how many people out of area travel in, stuff like that. Ryan and Rob's 55,000 remark was greatly exaggerated that is why Humphrey stepping in to clarify. That kind of attendance belongs to clubs like Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal etc... Who knows one day we might get into that category, but not for a long time!

      @@WrexhamAFCfanzone that makes sense; I suppose that's the American side of me, "bigger is always better,' but the bigger it means it would also cause them to hire more people (which isn't a bad thing) adds more to the labor costs and maintenance costs to it, and with them wanting to push forward to promotion there certainly other issues in teams infrastructure that you have pointed in other videos that need more attention.

      You have some massive stadiums in the USA I can understand why you think we should go bigger. I suppose we don't know how much capacity we need until we keep heading up the leagues. I still think 30,000 would probably be adequate though.

    It's sounds to me like "simple" bureaucracy holding things back and my guess is the owners don't want to point fingers at a specific person/department for various reasons, one of them being the potential of getting denied/delayed further out of spite.

      Well they did mention bureaucracy on welcome to Wrexham and they have had some real clashing of heads with the council and sorting out the least with the supporters trust, although the supporters trust is now sorted.

    As it looks like the temp stand will be used for the entire 2024/25 season then there is no doubt that the club will more than break even - the loss making figure stemming from it only being open for half of a season.

      Yeah they should do plus they might get a different sponsor for it. Im not sure if Rob’s four walls was still going to sponsor it next season.

    They were approved for funding from the Welsh government after getting rejected by the UK, but did Wales attach any conditions to it? Of course, it could be something as simple as a regulatory body dragging their heels, or work couldn't start this summer so they're waiting to start next to get the most out of the temporary stand.

    • @WrexhamAFCfanzone
      @WrexhamAFCfanzone  3 месяца назад

      It could even be they’ve not secured their side of the funding yet and that’s why they are holding back on signing. Or maybe there is something that they are signing for which they are not happy about.

    Doesn’t matter the success delivered, there are those who can’t wait to whine about what’s not being done. Without these two guys dumping millions into the local economy and the team, you might not even have a club and the Kop would still just be a dump. 🙄

    • @WrexhamAFCfanzone
      @WrexhamAFCfanzone  3 месяца назад +1

      Millions into the local economy? Ryan and Rob are great but we not talking millions here! We'd still have a club to be fair, the fans always kept it afloat. We would probably still be in the national league or even lower but we'd always have the club. I don't think anyone is whining either, lots of fans are becoming restless with lack of information. I think that is more than fair considering we were originally told the construction would begin as soon as this season was over.

      @@WrexhamAFCfanzone Thanks for verifying my point. Check the public financials. This isn’t a handout, it’s a business venture that is funneling millions of new money through the club. Probably won’t find anyone who will honestly agree that you are worse off than you were before these guys got there by a long shot to be fair.
      I’m sure you can appreciate that the bureaucracy in getting anything accomplished is painstakingly slow especially since they have been looking for help in getting this project accomplished. Seems to me they have made plenty of statements that allude to this and putting out additional statements with no new information doesn’t help. There isn’t any real problem given the temp stands, so patience is the best medicine and enjoy the ride.
