Steve Roan’s 300 acres in Tyler County has been in the family for 4 generations. Each generation has had slightly different objectives. The hay pasture that Steve’s uncle was passionate about didn’t fit within Steve’s wildlife-friendly goals, so he worked with the Texas Longleaf Team to restore his pasture to a longleaf savannah. This is his story.
