yup. there is a reason the devs never implemented proning. they mostly make the right choices. except for dual weilding and self revive. those two things should have never come to Hunt.

It wouldn't give you the opportunity just wait forever until the people who killed you leave and it wouldn't give the opportunity to sit around till the end of the match not playing the game.
Once I went inside a Boss House filled with traps and placed stuff, but It was empty. That was strange, but my friend asumed that was because the other boss was started to vanished close enough to made the unknown rush & fight the other one. I was crazy checking for a fake-corpse self killed at some random wall all time. Thanks this guy.
Or another alternative, if they decide to add another feature to the Vulture trait. Why not make it so that when you have vulture, you can see dead bodies from 25-30 meters. So you are not having to go around finding a dead body around extract or near a fight you are hunting for. That way you can see the dead bodies similar to poison sense, and dark sight boost. I mentioned this with some other players I met, and a lot of them liked the idea since myself or other players are struggling to find the bodies we downed to ensure we won, and to know that there are no rats hiding around. Glad you showed this strat, now I know what to expect, impressive hunting and thinking outside of the box.
I think this is a useful addition to vulture, but It could be abused to kill freshly revived people, like when you have a bounty and die, get revived and get shot through the walls instantly. Maybe if this was only in 1sec long pulses, and you would only see it in dark sight, then I think it is a good idea.

But I don't see the advantage of highlighting the dead bodies with vulture without seeing them through obstacles. If they are in the open, they are easy to find, and if they are in a bush, then you just need to walk through the bush and you will find the body or the weapons they were carrying.
@DIBs Self revive with necro is a useful addition to the game, as duos and trios are already much stronger than a solo player, just by outnumbering them, and they also have the advantage of having multiple lives, just by getting revived. This is quite unfair opposed to the solo player having only one life and that's it.
@Ferenc Aradi That sounds very effective and very straight forward. It would be a great function if it was an added addition to vulture. But that would be a bit tricky if it had a cooldown for every 7 seconds to see a fresh pulse. 7 second cooldown sounds fair, especially since every second in Hunt is crucial as it would mean your next step for 7 seconds could mean a loss for you.
There is literally no difficulty to counterplaying this once you know about it. Just begin the group extract and have everyone split off with only one person actually staying on it. If you're any sort of group, you're guaranteed a fight even if they successfully bomb the person on the cart. Even if you're solo and get completely caught off guard on extract, you can hear the person get up and cook the fuse super clearly since you won't confuse it for the sounds of your teammates. No need to remove or nerf it at all IMO.
Horrible idea. Think about how it completely shifts the dynamic of team fight is you know that everybody else is dead. Nah. You guys underestimate how much this would shift balance in the game - and not to the better. Think about what it breaks, not only what it fixes.
@@Semmelein Witness does exactly this and has been an under-picked perk for 3 events now; its use is limited to exactly the scenario u suggest and it isn't that powerful. You can achieve this same result by scanning with bounty after having a server fight. The impact on high and low mmr lobbies would be very tiny. Witness's strongest aspect is the regeneration corpses offer; the finding of corpses is just a boon. that alters gameplay very minimally.
No this is a valid strat!! But a fair counter would be make necro bodies have a faint glow in dark sight with the trophy. So when they scan they can see a faint glow thus they can light you up with a fire bomb or something. also they always huddle together, they need to not do that.
I agree to a degree with this fix, but then knowing someone has necro kills a.lot of the suspense during fighting or after of 'were they solo? A duo? A trio? Maybe theres someone still.sneaking around...' that suspense is a core thing of the fights. So me and a friend also came up with something similar, but for dead player bodies. That way we dont know which one does have necro and keeps a suspense. And also further rewards frugal, skillful use of dark sight with bounties.
Interesting idea, although this might hinder solo players by outing them if they die normally in a fight. But it would only be against hunters with the bounty token. My only idea right now would to be to add some sort of time limit to self revive,for example: after 15-30 seconds you start to lose hearing range, eventually reducing down to something like 3 meters. You know if someone is literally on top of you but can't reliably camp for long periods of time while downed. Maybe a time aspect could be added to your idea, as well, so you can detect players that downed themselves where the glow those players would have gets fainter or has a shorter detection range over time.
I feel like the counter to this is to just be vigilant, and never group up too tight. there's plenty of room around an extract to avoid death by a big bundle

I did this 5x just now and trio wiped them 5 out of 5 times. Its actually busted and I want it fixed. Easiest 10k hunt dollars I've ever made. I did the same thing just with a spectre compact and once with explo crossbow. You can also set up traps in places around extract too since you have tons of time.
I barely even have a problem with this, its the big dynamite bundles I fucking hate The amount of times I've been killed through solid walls in this game is borderline ridiculous
I like your solutions of this problem in the end, they also can add ability to see "dead" solos with bounty token in the dark sight, usually people check extraction point with it anyway.
Taking a martini henry would be even better as long ammo has a larger splash radius for explosive. Edit: I don't agree with suggesting that the devs should change a strat like this, as the player should be allowed to do what they want. And if crytek takes a stand on this playstyle (while it is very ratty/awful) they are likely to take a stand on more playstyles later down the line.
Game devs have no balls or integrity and they will listen to a loud minority. You betcha they will make Hunt Showdown more and more mainstream in the hopes of attracting new players. I tried this today... was a tough extract location - the one near the lighthouse, in the water, on one of the old maps. Maybe I also misjudged where to die and self rez, but anyway: I ended up killing one guy with my weapons, and died to another. Watched their TTV, and they were SO mad about it. Apparently they reported me for "toxic behavior", and insinuated I am a "hacker", lol
If you enter the extraction point only one team member needs to stay. the other two can leave, do as they please and still extract as long as the one remains. no need to change anything, just an extra thing to remember.
You really only need 1 teammate to stay in the extraction point in order to extract as a team, once you've touched base with the extraction zone, you can roam around anywhere for as long as there's 1 teammate in the zone. It's better to only have 1 or 2 people in the extraction zone anyways regardless if they're being chased, in which case there's room to flank and intercept the pursuers or if there are no more players(supposedly), you can roam around to kill ai for more xp. No reason to stay in the extract zone. In conclusion, I wouldn't say it's too unfair.
@@dibs4943 If a teammate dets killed inside the zone, the timer stops. If he gets killed outside the zone, the timer will not stop. So if you are roaming around outside the zone and get killed a second before extraction, your teammates will extract without you (and your bounty, if you got one). You can do it (and I do it sometimes) but it might be a failure.

Absolutely disgusting and I love it! I don't think it needs a nerf, because I think there are things your opponents could've done to prevent your strategy from working. First thing first, they were all bunched around extract. Sure, in some cases there's not much to choose from for protection, but some of them have a bunch of places where you wait for extraction, and it's wise to do regardless if you're worried about this strategy or not. In my experience, teams that cover the most ground tend to have the advantage, staying right next to your teammates doesn't bring many advantages. Second of all, they all had slow reactions despite seeing you on your feet. This is a big deal because you're missing at least a bar if not also all your health when reviving, so almost any shot would kill you and completely kill your attempts. You can make the argument that many would be shocked to see nobody on scan and suddenly hear the horses/boat blasting, but Hunt is not a game that is kind to you if you let your guard down. Third of all, they should've heard your revival. I'm not sure how well they can hear with all the noise from boat/horses + the timer switching to "blocked extraction", but I expect you can hear it if you pay attention. And last but not least, the strat relies on you keeping your nerves and not fucking up your shot. Easier said than done for most players.
there is kind of a counterplay lol normally i like to hit extraction n just go for a long jog while my teamates still hold down the timer lol but what would really be nice i think is that if a body is downed for a good minute maybe fly sounds should be surrounding the corpse or bubbles in the water, this was a thought awhile ago to make it easier to find dead bodies including in the water to loot but this could be a support for that
Honestly it’s not as op as it seems cause they don’t have to be bundled up like that unless there’s a another team closing in. They could’ve been super spread out once timer starts only one person has to stay close as long as everyone got the time
Agreed, Pretty darn cool but need fix. We actually encountered 3 solo dudes teaming with this strat ones. Imagine 3 zombie Hunters standing up next to you when you are at extract... What do you think about a fix like boat making sound (not block, but sound) if there is dead, revivable, solo nearby? Same for clue and boss? Great vid.
I got the same idea as well but sadly I hate playing solo so I never tried it out. I just hope Necro gets nerfed a bit in a future update or maybe make it to where Instinct and/or dark sight boost can detect downed but not killed players.
Small improvements, get your first bar to ideally be a small bar if possible. Quartermaster and Packmule for the ability to not miss out out the max loot. Maybe bring some poison or concertina traps to put around the extract as well to cause further chaos.
Great video but I do not like your suggestions to fix. Dead hearing has always been a thing and makes it fun to try and bait solos into reviving. Solo self death may happen accidently and you can just lure a grunt over. I suggest dead hunters with necro appear in darksight when within X range of extract. Like a small orange flame
My suggestion to balance this would be for Necromancer solos to be revealed in darksight when they are downed. They wouldn't look the same as an alive player, but it would let the other people know to check that body.
Both of those changes would change the way that the game is played entirely. Instead, dark sight boost should also show a red pool glow where dead bodies within 100m lay.

I always leave the Extraction point, is much safer having only 1 there to act as bait.

you can avoid it a kind of, if only one hunter is in the extract and the other are split up in the distance, that it will be a 2 vs 1

there is kind of a counterplay lol normally i like to hit extraction n just go for a long jog while my teamates still hold down the timer lol but what would really be nice i think is that if a body is downed for a good minute maybe fly sounds should be surrounding the corpse or bubbles in the water, this was a thought awhile ago to make it easier to find dead bodies including in the water to loot but this could be a support for that
Extraction should be red when a dead solo with necro is lying within range, this would be easiest nerf

Honestly it’s not as op as it seems cause they don’t have to be bundled up like that unless there’s a another team closing in. They could’ve been super spread out once timer starts only one person has to stay close as long as everyone got the time

Agreed, Pretty darn cool but need fix. We actually encountered 3 solo dudes teaming with this strat ones. Imagine 3 zombie Hunters standing up next to you when you are at extract... What do you think about a fix like boat making sound (not block, but sound) if there is dead, revivable, solo nearby? Same for clue and boss? Great vid.

I got the same idea as well but sadly I hate playing solo so I never tried it out. I just hope Necro gets nerfed a bit in a future update or maybe make it to where Instinct and/or dark sight boost can detect downed but not killed players.
Already count the lobby after each match regardless because it's 12 people per match. If there's one missing, this only made me wiser, bud.
Small improvements, get your first bar to ideally be a small bar if possible. Quartermaster and Packmule for the ability to not miss out out the max loot.
Maybe bring some poison or concertina traps to put around the extract as well to cause further chaos.

Great video but I do not like your suggestions to fix. Dead hearing has always been a thing and makes it fun to try and bait solos into reviving. Solo self death may happen accidently and you can just lure a grunt over. I suggest dead hunters with necro appear in darksight when within X range of extract. Like a small orange flame

My suggestion to balance this would be for Necromancer solos to be revealed in darksight when they are downed. They wouldn't look the same as an alive player, but it would let the other people know to check that body.

Both of those changes would change the way that the game is played entirely. Instead, dark sight boost should also show a red pool glow where dead bodies within 100m lay.
