When I try to tell people what Filipino (language) is like the very best way I can describe it is that it has Spanish words, Japanese-esque syllables, and uses the English formula.
That's pretty accurate~
Since those 3 countries invaded Philippines~
@@DianaProudmoore Exactly exactly!
@@DianaProudmoore cross pollination as is finest
@@DianaProudmoore That...actually makes a lot of sense. Damn.
Yep... You're not wrong... Talalog is a bit complex but if you're around my family 24/7. You'll eventually get use to the slang.
For those of you who are confused:
HAHAHA: Really funny
HAHA: Objectively funny
Hehe: being politely funny
Haha: not funny.
haha. : Please shut up
HA. HA. HA. : Tanginamogagu
HAHAHAHAHAA
I thought hehe is for flirting?
@@redacted8983 It depends on how you read it or the context. It can be used to flirt, being polite, sarcasm, or snickers. But now they added " HAJAHAGDJAHAS"(randomly typing letters that barely looking "HAHAHAHAHA" because it made them laugh too hard that they can't type properly) and "sksksksksks"(snickers).
Hihihi : chicksilog
HAHAHHAHAHA qaqi
Honestly, the way Filipinos laugh online makes it feel like they're trolling.
Welcome to Trollheim.
HAHAHHAHHAHHHAHAH
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHHA
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
No, did u know bc Filipinos don't usually use VPN, most people who access porn sites and "troll farms" are located in Philippines? We're considered as the bulk of the internet lmao
It is interesting how Filipinos have the most universal form of laugh when typing unlike in English which is lol or lmao, which are not easily understood by non-English speakers.
Caps lock can change everything if you're a filipino. The length is important too, like the word 'ok' is normal but if your partner just chats 'k' that means they're not interested or are angry at you.
@@veryverykawaiiuto4831 HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAH
@@veryverykawaiiuto4831 Sometimes me and my friends are spamming that 'k' or 'kkkk' if one of us is explaining some things and we understood it, and we like to use 'gggg' or 'ggg' ,it's short term for 'gegege' and sometimes we add 'lamats' in the end of 'gggg' as a form of gratitude.
@@veryverykawaiiuto4831 HAHAHAHAH
Honestly I'm a Filipino and I'm also Confusedd why they type laugh in capitalized xd
Well, that's true. You can take millie and kaheru's collab, whenever there's really funny moments like the maze part or the part where millie is dissing kaheru's house, a trashcan, then kaheru mentioned millie's house or the superchat part (those 3 moments where my favorite) you can see chat really laughing so hard
There are actually even more types of Filipino laughter. One is the "HAHAHSHAHASHSHAHSAH" which means really funny that you can't even type properly. The other one is the "HASHASHDAGSDKAGSDHAGSD" which mean I'm literally dying of laughter that I'm having a stroke help call the ambulance.
There is still 1more that Millie for got. The equivalent of LMFAO for the Filipino. It's, "POTANG INA MO KA AHAHAHA"
Me and my best bros always chat laugh with "kkkkkk" cause that means we laugh so hard but we need to be quiet or something LMAO
I thought that was the Portuguese way
@@EleosAnim Wait really? We thought we just made it up cause we always laugh like that even in real life lmao
brazilians also laugh like that kkkkkkkkkkk or in all caps too
Ohhh thats interesting- Imma use this hehe
Oh its like a laugh that your holding back or your laughing to hard and you cant make a sound and just kkkkkk.
CAPSLOCK = LOUD
No capslock = not loud
Yeah it's true but take consideration that their intensity of laughs depends on how long and full caps it was. Maybe, I was too young or I'm not socialized enough to recognize those "haha." and "haha" of hers.
Anyways, thank you for this clip bro! I didn't really knew that Millie drew me during in one of her superchat readings not until this came out. Thank god without this, I would've never really know it.
People who laugh like that usually slaps the person next to them while laughing...
accurate
ACTUALLY, THERE'S SOMETHING THAT HAPPENED WITH THAT LAUGH IN TWITTER.
Somehow, a lot of Filipinos tweeted, well, tweets with "HOY HAHAHAHAHAH" on their posts to the point it made it to trending. THE FECKIN LAUGH MADE IT TO TRENDING HERE. I can't believe my eyes sometimes.
For British (maybe not all but many of us) it's kinda like:
hahaha: either not funny or a sentence ender with people who you're slightly friends with
Hahaha: you're either 35+ or being sarcastic.
HAHAHA: You're either being very sarcastic or angry about a situation and laughing in pain.
We just use lol, lmao or we also tend to edit the sentence if we really found it funny, like instead of "that was great lol" it'd become "omfg that actually killed me lmao" if it was much funnier.
Other than that we just use 😂 tbh, though if you're using 🤣 you're either old or a bit sus
As a half Filipino who doesn’t speak the language ‘cause languages besides English wasn’t my strong point I feel like I’ve missed out a lot
Something I learned in this video and Millie
The intensity and the length of the text/chat correspond to a Filipino's laughter.
In short I guess the text matters.
She forgot the "Hshshshshsh"
So you've called us
I used to always type 'hahahaha' and my friends called me out because of it~ Apparently, 'HAHAHAHAHA' was the Filipino standard lmao (idk why but I do think there's something off abt 'hahahaha' it feels like you're being sarcastic if you type that)... Ever since then, I never typed it in lower case
I did not realize that i always type in all captions when i laugh
as a filipino i can confirm
I came here just reading the tittle as "types of Filipino"
HAHAHA
Filipinos like to laugh at the face of fate AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
others mix bad words as well like "HAHAHAHAA GAGO" or "TAENAMO HAHAHAHAHA"
idk about other but we do a diff type of all caps laugh which usually means we're laughing really REALLY hard and it goes like this: HAHSHJAHSDAHSAHCBSHB (basically HAHAHAHA with keysmash)
She forgot the saw laugh "hahahshshshs"
true. This slaps hard HAHAHAHAHAHA
As a Filipino, I didn't really notice our laughs, but I can subconsciously agree, that us how we laugh
HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I always type with a period in the end. No wonder I'm still single.
Standard friends: HAHAHA
Best friends: HAHAHSHAJAHDHJAXMJSOOQMAK
It is what it is.
Used to laugh with "HAHAHAAHAH" but now its "YOHOHOHOHOHO" because I just love brooks laugh yeah I binged one piece...........
I didnt even knew that HAHAHAHHA is how filipinos laugh I thought it was a normal thing lol
not from Philippines but the way i type it is the same way as she explained, but the people i chat will always laugh like this "hahahaha"
looks so dry and feel like im the one being overexcited
bruh it felt so weird texting my cousins in the philippines since i couldn’t just use “lmao”
Filipino gamers laugh starts with later A
Ahahahahaha
i can only hear is Nya ha-ha-ha-ha(chocked)
Seems like in our university we have a dialect for text laughter.
ksksksksksksksks
She forgot to mention the Hehehehehe version used by Filipino Moms
i have encountered 90's kids laugh nyahahaha in real life, like that's how they really laugh and I think 2000's kids like me encounters those too
haha can also be used if you are saying something that is not that serious (especially if the statement looks like you are mad when you are not) or to mimic a light laugh in convos, like showing you are having fun (so you put haha in the end)
hehe can be an alternative, though it sounds more cutesy or pabebe or flirtatious
HAHAHAHA is used by laughing at that one dumb comment.
I can confirm from being friends with a few filipinos
she forgot the "hahahaputanginhaahahahah" laugh
lyrica.... i love millie too but the laugh
Me as a Filipino i type laugh's like this haha is sarcastic hahaha mildly funny HAHAHAHAH........ very funny hehehe is this expression 😅.
My Filipino gf always laughed at my dirty jokes like that lol
Aside from those hahaha, we also use sksksksksk for chuckles
very accurate millie. hahahha
Lmao I actually remember writing my own Laughlingo (Laugh Language Chart).
For me this is how it works:
• HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA (like the Long HAHAHA means it's deadass funny)
• HAHAHAHA (like the short one means it's good...)
• HAHA (could either mean it's sarcastic or not depending on the context)
• hahahahahhahaha (means it's sarcastic, OR the one who's commenting is very, very OLD bcuz they don't know how laughs work these days.)
• hahahaha (Sarcastic)
• haha (sarcastic)
• hehehehe (smirky laugh or smth)
• BAAAAHAHAHA (very funny)
• YAHAHAHA/KYAHAHAAHA/WAHAHAHA (Evil laugh?)
• HAHSGAGDHHAJDHAHAHDHHAA (Malaki kamay nung nagtytype)
"HSHSHAHAHSADHD" should also be included cause if people reply with this it means whatever you sent is funny.
The amount of haha's in Filipino chat is just...ye I can't count.
HHOOOOYYYY! Hahaashahashahaajkaha
Lalaro Ka ml
Tapos may nakaktawa pero malapit na clash
Hahahaahajajjahahahahajaahah
Dude I hate that she's spot on
HAHAHAHA I'm a Filipino and I just got updated there a thing for hahaha I'm getting old
Lol, Im mexican and i always do the hahahaha instead of the jajajajaja or any other variation. Sheeeeeezz
From my Ragnarok days:
Wakokokok
Wekwekwek
Bwahahaha
l
Filipinos be like: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH LMAO LOL
Hang on, isn't this universal? Like doesn't everyone generally laugh this way in text?
idk maybe 20yrs ago, but now people would just type *lol* *lmao* and others wouldn't even know if they're really laughing out loud or low key laughing or sarcastically laughing
I've never even seen other peeps like that, they barely show all caps.
Maybe try to differentiate Millie's Tagalog streams and fil collabs to a normal streams
tldr: HAHAHAHA = funny
hahahaha = not as funny
haha = scuffed or awkward
haha. = ew cringe
its a pretty good system ngl i have used the 3rd and 4th one before but i generally dont laugh in all caps
Then theres me: hshshss
this is the same as british english tbh
I guess I'm a part of the minority who use "hahahahaha" instead of caps
Hahaha
sadly tho, Filipino doesnt have version of Japanese "wwwww" and Thai "55555" despite being near them
well there was that brief period of jejemons basing/borrowing "jejeje" and "jajaja" from the latams but the whole subculture was so cringe we surpressed it from public memory lmao
Ngl im a 13 year old filipino and my voice sound like an adult taking when i start speaking English
To sum it up: my English is very fluent
For the ones that don't understand what fluent is: i speak English easily
Lmao so accurate
JSJSJSJJSJSJSJS
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHA
haha.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
wahahaha
Haha I do that.
damn I kinda want to be a Filipino, wait IAM a Filipino, time to vote rastaman
haha
HAHAHAHAHA
Oh u type like that im a filipino i type like this hajqhhahahahauaisihquqaiahahuqhahaauaahhaakqnssa
HAHA - You're pissed, fake laugh
HAHAHA - Perfect, you genuinely found it funny, you actually laughed
HAHAHAHA (insert how many more HAs here) - You're over reacting and you're faking the laughter
Me whose a filipino who don't like to use HAHAHAHAHA: ;'> ok..
Me Malaysian can totally relate lol
HAHAHA
As a Filipino, we actually type laugh based on how long we laughed 😆
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
THAT'S SK TRUE AHAHHA
@@mikwing17 Oh my god same on my Clipboard HAHAHAHAHA
@@FaultedCell1456 same WAHAHAHHAHHAA
GAHAHAHAAHAHAAH
Meanwhile Indonesia use Awokkwkwkwk and Thailand use 55555555
Another type of filipino laugh is “HAHASJSHSHDHSHS” which means that it’s too funny we can barely type, and another one is “sksksksksks” which is like a snicker
tawang nasubsob sa keyboard.
I THOUGHT THAT'S A UNIVERSAL THING?
@@theatricsfromtheeast Tawang barog
I didn't know that Millie is a master at psychology, especialy about Filipinos' way of laugh xD
I thought if you're laughing *"HAHAHAHA"* it'll be like Tidus from FFX lol
This comment...
HAHAHAHA
I think Tidus's laugh is more like HA. HA. HA. HA. HA. 🥹. HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHSHAHAHDHSJDS
As a fellow filipino, it is true that we laugh like that HAHAHAHA
That's exactly how I apply laughter in text. I wasn't even born in the Philippines- don't even know a speck of Tagalog. That's just how I instinctively respond to jokes and things I find funny.
We sometimes add a “W” and make it “WAHAHAHAHAHA” for the extra funni.
Hell, there's cases where we add a "B" which turns it into "BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA"
Replace the w with y makes it so that they are about to cuss but just laughed suddenly
Ie: YAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahahahaha
WAHAHAHAH
GAHAHAHAHA
BWAHAHAHAHAH
HSHHSGAGAHAHAH
BWGAFAGAHAGAHHA
ZEHAHAHAHAHAHAH. Oh wait sorry thought Blackbeard's here.
It's like
HAHAHAHAHAHA - really funny
hahahahhaa - it's kinda funny
Haha. - you're annoying, stop
Hehehehe - I did something naughty/bad
Hihihhihi - I feel giddy
hah - wtf was that
hahaha - sarcastic laugh. "Haha very funny" kinda way
Nyahahha - rare laugh, devil spawns laugh
Nyehehehe - another rare laugh, but more of a harmless demon
Pffft or pfff - scuff/ hidden laughter
Sometimes you'll see
HAHAHAHAJSJAHAJK
HAHAHAGDJA8AHAJ
ASDFGHJKL
and it's usually "OMFG I'M DYING FROM LAUGHTER"
Now we know what to type in chat whenever Millie says "Geology Rocks".
haha.
@@murasAme19Hahahah
I present you the different variations of filipino laugh chat:
HAHAHAHAHAHA
AHAHAHAHAHAH
WAHAHAHAHAHA
BWAHAHAHAHAH
hahaha
ha ha ha
Wowwww as an Indonesian, those are literally has the SAME EXACTLY meaning to us too!
besides that 'hahahaha' laugh we also laugh in 'WKWKWKWKWK' or 'wkwkwk' which has the same way of meaning with the 'hahaha'
Oh no she forgot about the jeje laugh we filipinos did a lot back in the day 😂😭
Jejemon.... that's a term I haven't heard in years~
Ah yes the jeje, the ancient laugh of 2010
We.. We don't talk about the dark ages.
@@boitaho HAHAHA
As a fellow filipino, can confirm
She forgot other laughs like:
"Afsgsgjsjaakka"
"Wshshshshshs"
some Filipino would laugh with all caps "HAHAHA" or just use longer "hahahahhahahhaha" to show that it's really funny
Idk about the second one now since some say that not using caps even if it's long when laughing still feels like a fake laugh
It feels like a fake laugh ngl
You thought English is a complicated language? Just study Filipino and each word have a different meaning depending on what punctuation you use and what font you use.
Example is that what I heard from my friend last time. He was like "P*tanginamo" (?) and I know he's swearing but we were laughing and having a good time. I thought he was bad mouthing me but turns out that swear word can express happiness. A word that downgrades someone but can also be used to express happiness? The fck is that? 😂
Just like fxck word
It depends on what you first learn. I have a Japanese friend who learned tagalog pronunciation so easily but sucked at writing and my american friend still has the american accent but good at writing.
Oh, it gets more confusing than that. There's formal Tagalog, Taglish, and even invented languages.
Formal Tagalog joke: Saying "Ngunit, subalit, datapwat." Those 3 words all mean "but".
Taglish: Either a mix of Tagalog and English or "Tagalogizing" an English word. This is how Filipinos, especially in the cities, talk. Example: _Tinetext mo ba boypren mo?_
TL: Are you texting your boyfriend?
(I personally suspect that Japanglish was invented by Filipinos, coz it's basically "what if Taglish, but instead of Tagalog it's Japanese?" I have no real proof tho beyond a blog from 2016-ish saying that Filipinos were using it)
Invented languages: Jejemon, Bekimon, "replacing the vowels with E", etc. Do not look for those if you wanna keep your sanity lol.
And ofc there's the regional dialects and languages. We have hundreds of those.
Thats depends on the expression. You can guess thats if he/she swear for the laughs or really badmouthing you.
LMAOOOO
To enhance the all-caps HAHAHA, add "GAGO" for a higher level of big kusa. For the ultimate level of massive kusa, add "TANG INA" and "AMPUTA"
HAHAHAHA is high tier
HAHAHAHA GAGO is an even higher tier
HAHAHAHA TANGINA GAGO AMPUTA is the highest form of Pinoy big kusa you can achieve
If some types a long HAHAHAHA within 1 second of you hitting send. You just made Comedy gold
'hehe' is just creepy to me that most people I chat with has that vibe to me at least
I felt this
Phone user be like. NO too much epport
I just noticed i do this everytime and my mind has been expanded
I'm a Filipino but I did not even know the meanings behind these variations of laugh. I've only been using "hahaha" as my usual laugh since forever. Guess I'll take this new knowledge in mind.
