Will this work on my 2012 Honda Accord? Lately I’ve been experiencing my wires coming loose. So I changed the terminal to the gold one in this video. The wires have not gotten loose. But they look bad. I don’t get t paid til this Friday. So you think I should do this to hold me down for this week? And just buy new wires this Friday? I don’t know what to do. Thanks for video. Stay blessed everybody.
Thx for this video. I’ve never done this before and was able to install fairly easily with only a few tools, but sadly I think 🤔 my starter is the issue as they’re on tight asf and the power flow is def better but still won’t crank. Already got the starter on cyber Monday fortunately just need a mechanic to install it. I don’t wanna deal with putting that one on….what’s a fair install price for that!?? @Bundys Garage ???
@@bundysgarage hey Bundy I would like to know something.. like on older vehicles u could check altanator by removing battery cable .. if I'm right on a 02 accura mdx ,u cant do that right ?
you are right :) while removing the terminals of battery 1st remove negative terminal then positive - while fixing back its reverse 1st Positive then Negative. This is the best practice.
Mine does the same thing. Brand new battery. 9 months later, complete blue powder. 3rd time. Will that change out work or do I need an entire new cable??
I haven't come across that problem because I wash the engine bay about every six months. I believe that helps from corrosion forming and I use those anticorrosion rings/washers(whatever they are called) that go on the terminals. Thanks for the tips. What was that tool you were using? It looked like a double sided rachet. Could not make out what it was.
Yeah it was a double sided ratchet from Harbor Freight. Great tool. There is a small one and then a large one, one side is 3/8ths and the other side is 1/4 inch. Awesome tools, has saved my butt a few times when the space was really narrow. www.harborfreight.com/14-in-38-in-drive-long-reach-dual-flex-head-ratchet-67994.html
I have an '03 Acura CL-S and I did this same procedure before watching this video. I feel like he failed to mention that someone had already done this before to that car. So his work in the video was at least the 2nd time someone trimmed those power wires. My positive wire has corrosion going into and throughout the wiring itself (Thats what I get for living ocean front). I have gotten the Acura OEM wire for replacement and Im trying to find the video on replacing that, specifically the connection at the firewall fuse box.
I was repairing someones mistake. It shouldn't be too hard to replace the OE wire. To help prevent the green corrosion going down the line on a repaired wire you can use a silicone paste or vaseline to help prevent oxygen getting to the wire.
Good job. Always remove negative first. Just remember anytime a battery has one wire connected it should be the positive one (installing or removing)
Thanks for this info. Didn’t know this smh
Ive watched no less than 5 videos about this and yours was by far the best. Thank you so much for posting.
Same experience, this is the best one!
@@rayest7569 I bet you guys say that to all the channels😁

Great demonstration. One thing that will keep the terminals corrosion-free will be spraying Battery Corrosion Block or Die-electric grease. 👍
Thanks for making a non shaky video. Every other one I watched was like a Jason Bourne action scene.

Aren't you supposed to disconnect the ground first before the positive? And Vice versa to re-install a battery?
EXCELLENT tutorial

It;s always good to save money!!!

No don’t do that! On modern cars (after 1996) there are computers that can fry if you do that old school method.
Aren't you supposed to remove ground terminal first? Still learning so thought I'd ask.

I think I’m having this problem. My wire keeps disconnecting from the positive side. Any suggestions?
Wow, I haven't seen a Neuspeed bar in foreverrrrrr!
My Odyy's negative terminal was messed up from the previous owner, not corroded; still had to replace it because it was loose
When you finished tightening the pos terminal down you wouldn't have to worry about grounded the wrench out cuz the neg cable was off.

Good video. Mine aren't corroded but I have come across them not tightening down securely. Thanks for the video 👍
Isn't spraying water into the engine bay bad because it can get on the electronics?
Thanks , slow easy....followed to a tee

He says replace the wire but thats basically the entire wire harness of your car which is WORK
Thank you
I thought that on Honda, the positive battery terminal comes as assembly with the cable.
U can just pour all that water on a disconnected battery and it won't short???
naba bandit
No one going to talk about the exposed wire on the negative side
