It’s a lovely trip, I’ve done the opposite direction, same ferry. Old vessel, but practical and spaceous. Sadly, I miss the route between Newcastle and my home town of Bergen.
I've just found your channel Carl & what a lovely friendly chap you are. I really enjoyed this video & look forward to watching your back catalogue & future trips. All the very best mate 👍
Thanks for this video, the "cruise" certainly seems very good value! I have taken the ferry from Harwich myself. May I ask which "new camera" you used, did you find it easy to operate?
Hello from glamorous Middlesbrough 😍👋. I look forward to seeing more of your videos. I suppose you could have walked to the railway station at IJmuiden but it's too time consuming, yes annoying about the bus in Holland.
@@carlstravelchannel That's OK. An old friend of mine is Russell Plummer the travel journalist (Ships Monthly, Paddle Wheels, Cruise Ferry Info Guide, etc) and I've spent many night aboard European Ferries with him. So I've managed to pick up some bits along the years. I do enjoy your site. Keep up the good work. BTW, do you manage to get any complimentary ferry travel? I ask that because most of the operators would, if they know you have this channel, possible offer you some freebies....
Why? What's wrong with them? People would never be able to watch them in there entirety without turning off, so it's either that or removing them completely
I sailed on the King Seaways three times already and i absolutely love her, going again on March 1st

Thanks! Yes I would definately sail on that route if they still offered it! I'm planning to do the Fjord Line however in a few months time, to Bergen
@ I’ve sailed with Fjord Line many times. Not my favourite ferries, but it’s sure a comfortably trip. It’s worth it 😊

Thanks very much for the comments and subscribing! Some of my early videos are a bit ropey now, but hopefully you enjoy some of them! Cheers
Great video! We’ve subscribed!
Thanks very much! ✈️🚈 I've subscribed to yours also!
@ thanks so much!
Superb.
Thanks very much!

Thanks very much. The new camera is a DJI Action 4, basically a DJI version of a GoPro
Brilliant video! Loving the new camera quality 🎥😊
Thanks :))

Thanks, and thank you for the info! Yes I was thinking next time I do this ferry to try out Harlem!
Really like the video and the camera is great but please check the audio. Have a large reverb on my headphones...
Thanks, yes I did notice this myself also, and unsure how to fix it. Will try and investigate for future videos
What is the make and model of your new camera?
It's a DJI Action 4
It's not a "Boarding Bridge", the correct name is a "Link Span".....
Thanks, I'm from the Airline world, hence why I think of them as boarding bridges!

Speeded up sections are annoying
