Director is actually inspired by old movie of Megastar Chiranjeevi titled "Chantabbai" which is also in the same line, starts like a funny detective movie and later it gets serious.
And also chettu kinda pleader where their journey to solving case is hilarious
Bang on. I, recently saw Swaroop's interview in this respect.
But Chantabbai end as emotional movie.. whereas ASSA is a thriller
Him leaving the shutters, lights and computer on before leaving, is something I think he picked up from the tonnes of movies and shows he watched where the detectives would just leave immediately after they receive a call or figured out a clue for the case and had to leave to follow up on it without bothering to close their offices. It is just him imitating the attributes of those fictional characters.
And I think they bring it back when he is framed for those deaths. Because in reality leaving his office open like that made it easier for the perpetrators to plant fake evidences in his office.
And we see later as well, that he learnt his lesson when we see him close the shutters of his office when he gets shot (fake). So, I think they did bring that thing around as well. :)
And later in the climax he leaves it open as a distraction, on purpose to make that particular police officer believe he is in office when he is actually tailing the perpetrators.
Great observation 👍👍...nice
wow i did not get this even after seeing the movie for n no.of times
Wow this is such a great observation. Glad you did that. Even i didn't observed all that except thinking it as fun way of mocking detective movies and serials. But kudos to the director for playing with that.
Ah damnn you should be one of writer for the 2nd part of this movie.
The Director sets up the Agent's character with the suicide/murder case in the beginning itself, where you can see what he is capable of.....
the leaving the shutters open thing ... is just to bring a sense of urgency in his life... is what i feel. as if he is on an emergency and urgent cases...high stakes. thats what i can interpret from it
You are thinking too much, He does it because of films. In films we don't see people locking their places. It is a satire.
@@geesaprashanth yes. But why do they do it like that in films ? He is trying it for the same reason. Only thing is in his case it's not really urgent but he is imitating and that's why it's funny
When this film was released in the United States, got a standing ovation in the theater. Naveen Polishetty himself revealed this fact in Son Of Abish RUclips channel
@Rahul Singh video link or any source link? If you don’t have, don’t B.S. here!
@Rahul Singh He never said that. And Oscar is not a measure of a film's greatness and content. Getting an Oscar gives even some okayish movies good marketing through the propaganda that surrounds Oscars as if films are nothing without getting an award that's primarily meant for Hollywood.
@Rahul Singh Standing ovation at Oscars? That's the same thing you are saying. They give standing ovation to movies which are selected for Oscar wins. They both happen simultaneously. So what's the confusion?
Or you are saying standing ovation elsewhere? Where is that?
@Rahul Singh if you don't know anything just shut up.. He never said anything like that don't spread fake news here kiddo.
Underrated Telugu films definitely worth to watch
Hit: the first case
Godachari
Adbutham
Evaru
C/o kancharapalem
Thimarasu..
Adbutham is inspired by korean movie...
Thimmarusu is remake of kannada film Birbal case 1
I'd recommend only c/o kancharapalem from this list
Godachari and evaru 🤩🤩🤩
@@HelloThere-bn2bk I'd recommend all of the good and excellent films mentioned except Timarasu and Evaru because they are official remakes. The original versions should be reacted upon.
Evaru and C/O Kancharepalam. Rest are meh
Lol I've not waited for any Jaby's videos in these many years of subscription🤣🤣 but hell yeah I've waited for this Part 🤓
Ifkr 😂😂
This was one hell of a ride. Never have I anticipated a reaction so much
Fun fact: the budget of this movie everything combined is not even 1 million usd 😂
Yup
Nope, it is 50 million INR
Source : Wikipedia
@@saifmehdi178 no its 50 million rupees 5 crores if it was 50 million dollars it would be around 377.5 crore rupees (which is impossible for this movie)
@@vickymehra5694 50 mill dollar is 377.6 crore not 3776 cror
@@vickymehra5694 yup sorry about that. I rechecked it and changed the currency
I think that use of wide angle lens is to get the feel of looking through a magnifying glass which a detective uses often in his investigation..
That's an interesting pov.
In the premise from the beginning they establish that he is funny but yet brilliant. Lock stock is a good comparison where it’s a very serious movie yet each character in the movie is hilarious. Comedy is essential for Telugu movies. Audience expect comedy in Telugu movies. If you did speak to telugus you will see that majority of them have a great sense of humour and have a lot of cinematic influence too.
Majority of thrillers within India are done within south India and in Bollywood it’s not even a thing. So the treatment of the movies are very different. Elementary series on Amazon cld be a good comparison.
15:45 that's not true at all Jaby. This movie has been inspired by Chantabbai an Old film of chiranjeevi, where the lead is funny and it gets serious over the period.
Even in the beginning... during the suicide episode they do show how capable he is...
Jaby! Author of Sherlock Holmes, arthur conan doyle himself acted as consultant to police and said to have solved one or two real cases. The famous Detective Conan anime was also inspired by sherlock holmes and the shows mc himself is inspired by sherlock holmes. There are many scientific invention that were legit inspired by sci-fi movies.
After all what is innovation but our imagination.
When it comes to agent in this movie, his penchant for detective movies or novels may have inspired him to develop sleuth skills or his aspiration to become a sleuth may have lead to those movies.
I surely knew that jaby would compare this with shaun of the dead😂 because it starts as goofy then turns into a serious movie btw loved your reaction jaby.
He left the shutter open cause the theifs or anyone would think that they are inside
world class original detective thriller . one of my all time favourites . had the same feeling when I watched night crawler . both gems
They set it since the starting that he is very smart, though educated through movies, he is very observant and actually deduces a lot of things, his form of learning was not official but he has a natural flare to his job... also it's a funny detective movie that's why it has all the comedy mixed with solving the case... leaving the lights and everything on, is to make it look like they were in an urgency, he mentions this to his assistant in the starting
The character is passionate about being a detective and thats why he watches movies. Not that he learns from them. Still he pays attention to whatever is taught in them. 😂
Watch 'HIT - The First Case' Telugu Film👌🏻
It’s shot with an anamorphic lens.. the image will be skewed but it gives a cinematic look especially with the lens flares..
I'm among those who had recommended this film. It's really well done and I love how the movie surprises you. Tone shifts tend to throw off most westerners but it's something I've always liked in Indian cinema! How it goes from being almost a spoof to going into serious territory, while keeping a lot of humour, was all done very smoothly IMO.
Next Telugu movie that I'd recommend is *Bommarillu* , it's a romcom/coming of age film and among the highest rated Telugu movies on IMDb. It's pretty much a modern classic. I guess it should be a reaction with Jaby and Achara 🙂 (the movie focuses a lot on the male protagonist and his relationship with his overbearing dad so it would be an enjoyable watch for Jaby too)
YES! That's a great idea! I'm definitely in support of this...
Patreons ask for c/o kaacherapalem......cause I don't have money to ask him myself 😅
You Don't Have Money?

One of the best movie in low budget ....its reality
Jaby react to "Mathuvadalara" . It is available in prime video...
Greetings from the beautiful land of Assam, India.
Well it's not big crime.
But it's like a psychological hit for the family. No one want their bodies to be thrown at side of road. It's more like, if it happen to stranger then it's just sad, but when it's your family then it's akin to a psychological blow and I can imagine the anger that rises
And the real culprits of those crimes were free because their fingerprints were being replaced by the dead ones.
I stayed in Nungabakam and chooleimadu for almost 4 years. It was a great experienced.
Actually they already gave something in the first 30mins which helps us to guess what to expect.. Remember him solving the suicide case just by looking at the crime scene and gets slapped and dragged out by police.. That scene shows he's education as a detective is legit..
Watch GUDACHARI Telugu movie next
Were they even paying attention in the beginning?
Athreya conducts himself in the way that movie detectives do. He doesn't learn investigation techniques from them. They literally set up his intelligent side when he goes to the crime scene of an alleged suicide (where he gets slapped & thrown out).
Calm down , there is no need to be mean
Agent sai is a masterpiece regardless of what anyone says ❤️
I suggest you to watch kanche movie which is my personal favourite with respect to the art of movie making. It is available on Disney+ hotstar
CONGRATULATIONS for 2 million in advance
FYI, this is based on a real story that happened in Tamil Nadu. Agent character is fictional though.
13:00 Hot Fuzz is a great comparison. I remember it going dark places from a light start.
Reg question about shutters open....When you close the shop..it is like shop closed ..business not doing well...may not generate confidence in potential clients
Wow ..first time I clicked the video immediately after the upload!
Indian movies have that turn in the middle
Well I thought they left shutter open bcz in most mvs they do that, just leave in a hurry without bothering to turn off lights etc
Watch adivi shesh’s kshanam , you will love it .
please watch goodachari(telugu)
One good thing about watching this is I added 14 movies to my watch lift just by reading comments here xD
Love from India🇮🇳
Watch mahanati
A great biopic of legendary telugu actress
Just a deep gratitude for your review!
You should watch old hindi classic black comedy "hum honge kamyaam" nasireudin SHAH in main lead,,very good
React to evaru or goodachari movie
This movie was based on true events which happened in 90’s in andhra pradesh state which happened near my house
Watch the movie Dhruva.... Ram Charan (same guy from RRR) is the main lead, you have already reacted to the trailer and it's an awesome movie, great storyline and a badass villain.
It's a remake of Thanioruvan of Tamil movie. It's a much better movie than Dhruva As I've seen both. Original is certainly better.
@@Raghuram_2894 ohh. I didn't know. Will certainly watch it.
Never been sooooo early....love jaby n achara
Jersey telugu movie...... Next you will bee touched by it
Jaby saw it but syntell didn't
Director revealed in an interview that Athreya is a criminology student.
Movie Recommendations
Evaru
C/O Kancherapalem
🔥
that leaving the shutter open and tv and lights on maybe they were referencing about any other movies about detectives that we don't know of or don't remember.
U can do interview with Navin . He has interesting stories related to this film .
Actually you were wrong in two points: Hero is never a fraud from start, He has skills of a detective(but he is a comedian type quirk) , second last testimonials show that the crime that was shown in movie is actually real and it happend in india
He always leave his TV on and door open to make it look like ..he was in a hurry .. it's one of the tropes of detective stories they are always in hurry 😂 even in Sherlock Holmes..how often have u seen him close his door
Hey Jaby You Have To Watch " Mahanati " Starring Keerthi Suresh
You guys should watch Brochevarevarura... which is easy to connect to your sensibilities.
Congrats for 2 million in advance
So if there is a Hollywood movie that does it then Jaby is okay with the idea. Oh hot fuzz does this. Now I’m onboard, else it’s like what are they doing this was supposed to be a comedy movie
The cop in denim jacket & white shirt is my very old friend. He is not even a native Telugu speaker! The only other guy I know in film industry was my mom's uncle who had single dialog roles in many movies. Most known films being Don (*ing Big B) & Brahmchari (*ing Shammi Kapoor)! 😂
Loved this review. Absolutely spot on.
Awesome
Please watch "thupparivaalan" Too!! ☺
Actually I felt he was just a bad teacher but good at detective word, when I saw the movie.
About 26/11 event, there's a movie coming up. "Major" by Adivi Sesh.
It's because when are in a hurry we put everything like that running fan television on
Subtitles are 💯perfect
Please watch "Mathu Vadalara" ❤️
Jaby you can remake this movie in US with slight modifications...
A movie unraveling mystery of deadbodies and to find them being used for creating fake fingerprint database...
Can hit the chord with any nation which had terrorist attacks and criminals getting away with lack of evidence....
I am not sure abt the entire movie but, missing body cases are generally covered in movies/series.
@@maniswetha4517 read last para bro...
Solving missing cases movies and all are common in every language but this is different...
In telugu ,also many movies came and we also have CID serial...
Did you guys forget 3 Idiots? The way it keeps changing genres.
In india, people believe the souls of their beloved ones will be at peace once their remnants goes into Ganga (many prefer Varanasi).
People they have shown in the movie are just poor and financially helpless people but want their loved ones reach Varanasi and be at peace.
It hit me very hard when I see them crying, probably thinking about them leaving to Kasi but in reality they are just dumped as another trash bag.
Yeah, it's not a murder per se, but once you see both sides you will understand and pity them.
*Jaby Please react to Arabic Kuthu Song From Movie Beast... please give your reactions on it!🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️*
