There I am, coming back home after a long day of work, made myself a nice dinner, about to go to twitch and get my Trump fix as I'm eating. Then this epic thumbnail pops up. Feelsgoodman. God bless you Trump and Jens
I can’t understand how he manages to play so many hours of battlegrounds nearly every single day, I get it’s his job but still that would drive me insane unless I was making some serious money
@@Begeru I wonder if he makes good money? I think he must do or he wouldn’t do it. I enjoy hearthstone but if I was forced to play it as a full time job I think I would quickly despite it. I hate battlegrounds tho playing that all day everyday sounds like torture to me
The fact that arena revolves around a couple of certain OP class cards is just awful. I would be heavily in favor of either banning overperforming cards, or nerfing them specifically for arena. That being said, this deck is good even without those cards, no way it isn't.
It also reduces the skill cap in my opinion. There's almost nothing you can do against certain cards, and opponents can do almost nothing when you play them. This just turns the game into a game of "who drops their op card first"
@unluckygamer692 In a few games, maybe. The large majority still have a lot of skill expression. There's a reason good players still average way more wins than mid or bad players.
@Vincentoist You're right that it's not as pronounced as he says but it still feels really bad to know that you can play better and lose simply because someone else had one or two op cards. Especially on a game mode where there isn't variety in play style and you're all generally playing for the board.
Oh noo the miss play :( Just use the two 2/2 taunts to dmg the enemy taunt first to ensure the full board clear with Mish Mash ;) The out come wasn't even that unlucky ^^
How long has it been since our old friend Senjin has been in the core set? I ask because I’m wondering if the majority of the people watching this video even know that reference. So few of us who were playing in beta/launch still play this game. I’m still here but it’s been a few years since I’ve been anytging but a filthy casual.
I dunno how to tell you this Trump, but I'm pretty sure that the 6th game wouldve just been over if you had pretraded the glug tails into the taunts. I dont even know why you took that risk tbh Edit: Upon further reflection, mish mash wouldntve died in that case. If you only trade one tail, mish mash hitting the same targets ends up with the same result. Hmmm.
@@dadeee7776 he used to be a top tier diablo player though. He has a world record on one of the bosses. The only one that got it with a buddy since blizzard changed how the boss works to lower it's difficulty because nobody was able to beat him. Before kripp that is.
I remember in the very old days. Trump and Kripp were the true kings of hearthstone. Like mega stars. It is wild to see Kripp evolve though and become super successful in his journey
I recently got back into hearthstone playing arenas. I think out of the past like 15 arenas I've averaged 2 wins a run 💀 At least i can watch Trump and feel something.
Hmm... I feel like this video of Trump is missing something... And that something is the subtle background music to all of this previous videos. There's none in this one.
Trump, if you are interested in harder games, might I recommend Captain of Industry? It's a factory game with a more realistic and grounded approach, and is much less forgiving than games like Dyson Sphere or Factorio.
Trump struggled with HS. He could never handle actual difficult ARPG content beyond the tutorial, like old school Archon builds speedrunning higher-end greater rifts on HC, let alone something like Pyano in Factorio.
There 2 types of copy effects that the game does not specify. The first, used mostly for cards that add a copy to your hand, is to just give you a base version of a card so no buffs or damage or anything carries over. The other copy effects just takes everything, mostly used for summoning or transforming The latter is what copied the gangplank
5 mins in; Trump: that's just a theroy My with best (still awful) MatPat impression: A GAME THEROY! Thanks for watching! I'll see myself put now. Goodbye YT comments section.
It seems unbelievable how often Trump gets good legendaries in general. Even now it takes me 3-4 drafts to get non-meme legendaries, and this is very consistent over years of playing. Among my friends there's definitely some accounts who get a legendary almost every run and get puzzled if they don't get a good legendary, and some who have the same behavior as I do. There's something weird with how it happens for sure. Legendaries in the past at least haven't luckily mattered as much overall, but now they do, and this draft looks like an amazingly fun time just from looking at the draft, I wish I could have this fun of a draft... Also, Trump gets something that looks like an insane highroll with "few bad cards" and is like "should I retire??". He should see some of my punishment drafts after getting the one good draft.
He does get a lot of good legendaries in his videos, yes, but he also doesn't show a lot of his arena runs. The ones that end with less than 6 wins or are retired early very rarely get their own video. IDK how often that happens because I don't watch his streams, but I do know that it happens often enough for it to become notable.
It's good if you have Schooling since then you can generate a bunch of 1 drops to play with it for guaranteed buffs. Without synergy of 1 drops it just buffs a hero power then gets removed...
To add on, arena is also very curve heavy stat based in the early game, so is just a dead play till at least 4 mana really. Its goodish just not great.
It triggered me every time Trump was talking about using the weapon to game totems... Hero power only cares about totems generated from the hero power. It doesn't care about any other sources of basic totems. Likewise, no other Totem generation effect in the game cares about what is on the board (Besides the Totem hero power in Duels where the buffed up version when overloaded has its own set of 4 totems with the same mechanic) The fact that Trump continued to think it did even when the board just showed him this was not the case (With the hero power creating a totem already on the board) was infuriating.
Pretty sure you're wrong. It's based on totems you control regardless of where they came from. A common misplay for totem shaman players is playing totemic evidence before hero power (hero power will be disabled). Can you leave a timestamp where his hero power supposedly summoned a totem already on the board?
“ARPG’s don’t appeal to me because they aren’t challenging” Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Or it could be that Trump’s APM is so pathetic that he wouldn’t get past the first stage.
Yes indeed. He played a beta - which typically is just a tutorial-type area meant for casual players. It'd be like Trump playing the tutorial against the Innkeeper in this game and going "meh, too easy."

RIP Kripp. He died as he lived : bottom of the food chain.
Yeah, but I do like the triple hollow hound one a little bit more.
He had a 98% chance to escape but lost. Never lucky.

That game 2 with the wild crowd surfing and Sunwell shenanigans is the sort of low-power-level clown game that makes arena great.

The misplay is when he didnt use the 2-2 to hit the 3-5 prior to the mosher trade. It is so painful to see the result.
