A little Peruvian secret, toast a teaspoon of garlick paste before adding the rice, then cook the rice like you did on step 1 so when you add the salt and water it has a toasty garlicky flavor to it, it makes a huge difference and we love it here.
Garlic taste may be a quite strong flavor in many western countries, so it is not to expect that it will be acceptable, at least immediately. They may give it a try, but plain white long grain rice cooked with water and salt is fine for not Peruvians.

This is the best preparation of Lomo Saltado I've seen on the internet. So many people get it wrong, but you sir, got it down perfectly. A recommendation, taste wise, the closest thing I've tried to Aji Amarillo in the US is the green Anaheim Pepper. You can also use it for Huancaína Sauce, it just won't look the part.
As a peruvian, amazing version of our traditional dish, thanks for this! Also, there is a lot of peruvian stores in US you need to try aji amarilo next time! it concetrates all Andes flavour.
Good job on this lomo saltado another variance of this dish! A juicy and more tomato flavor it is used for breakfast sandwich and the chile sauce is a must for me thank you !
As a Peruvian, I've cooked it so many times, that I began to skip some steps. So that, I've stopped being careful with the quality of the potatoes and meat; at the cost of cooking it in times of 15'. If any ask me, the way you prepare it's like in a nice local restaurant. Thanks a lot for that dish, because I going to reconsiderate some steps and be carefully
As a Peruvian myself, it was really cute to see this video and the effort he's putting in making Lomo Saltado! However, that's not how the real Lomo Saltado is made haha. Besides the ingredients which I'm very aware of how difficult is to find the same ones in USA, most of the steps are not how we would do it based on our traditions. We have a pretty different way of cooking that specific dish which is what it really gives our gastronomy its real flavour and "sazón". Awesome video!
Nice job! Luckily, Peruvian aji paste can be gotten over Amazon and other similar retailers, so everyone can still add the authentic flavor to their dishes!
as a born and raised in Lima, is not 100% Peruvian made, but, it is the best next thing, considering our ingredients are not so easy to find...hope you like it and visit us in Lima. Great Video!

You need to eat that with that with green hot sauce they use. It's an absolute must!
I’m going to make this delicious recipe!!!thank you for sharing 💙
I am looking forward to making and eating. Looks amazing!❤
I love lomo saltado, here un Peru restaurants make it with "arroz chaufa" or "tallarines a la huancaína" instead of rice, so delicious 😋l
Ok, i love Peruvian food is sooo goof best food for mee!
La mejor gastronomia de latinaomerica es del Peru, y entre las mejores del mundo, todo original y ancestral, Viva El Peru !!!...Viva Chile!!!!
Lomo saltado! Peruvian food is good af!
Enjoy Peruvian Food because it's the Best . 👌
Amoooooooo!! Me encanta más en el desayuno con su cafecito AHHHHHHHHH
So delicious!!! Nothing better than a classic oeruvian dish 😋😋
Soy peruana y es mi plato preferido ❤
my favorite dish of all time, thanks algo
I've always wanted to visit Peruvia one day.
Very impressed with the Lomo Salteado, I did not know that has a long process, but it looks delicious.

As a peruvian I used TOP ROUND LONDON BROIL BEEF for my .
Lomo saltado
Lomo al jugo & pan con lomo ....greetings from Atlanta GA.
Secret: add some kion to improve the taste. I'm from Peru and love the recipe. Un gran abrazo fraterno y muchos parabienes.

That looks amazing, thank you
0:20 "two cups minus two table spoons" for the love of good please just start using the metric system
No 😂
Yeah what the hell is two cups minus two tablespoons spoons??
Hell nah imperial system 🔛🔝, cry about it lil bro
It's too complicated for them.
Nice job! Luckily, Peruvian aji paste can be gotten over Amazon and other similar retailers, so everyone can still add the authentic flavor to their dishes!
Great dish. I made it 6 months ago or so after having it for the first time down in Miami.
I m from Peru and the Lomo saltado that you made is as well cooked as our one Good job causa 👍
The food of my country is sooo good
probably my favourite dish
as a born and raised in Lima, is not 100% Peruvian made, but, it is the best next thing, considering our ingredients are not so easy to find...hope you like it and visit us in Lima. Great Video!
Well, you gotta give him some credit considering that ají amarillo is not widely popular in the USA.
Looks great, approved by a Peruvian!!! ❤
As a Peruvian food eater(not Peruvian). Thanks for this recipe!!
You can order jars of aji amarillo paste online or even some mexican groceries. a spoonful in the sauce would probably make it taste a bit more authentic when using fresh bell peppers. Its got a pretty distinctive taste, a bit bitter & earthy.
LO MEJOR DEL MUNDO EL LOMO SALTADO
El lomou saltadou.
A perfect choice.
Felicitaciones, realmente lo hiciste muy bien. La característica principal del lomo saltado es que los trozos de carne deben estar algo ahumados.
