Hello Tim, great tutorial!...13 tricks?...does not bring that unluck?....hahah,....particularly when I hear the last part of this episode?.. hihi...I use render in place mainly to get audio from my midi and have seen here now that there is much more that I can do with the settings than before. One question: do you always render your midi when it comes to mixing ?... I know that some producers keep the midi files just as they are and just starting mixing with a mix of midi and audio. What is your preference?..
Hello Ruud, I never thought about 13 😄 Yes, it is always good to get audio from your MIDI. No, I do not always render MIDI to audio. Just when I do 5.1 surround mixing. I mix during composing. Most of the time there is no time for a separate mix.
@@ruudjansen2412 I can open the 5.1 mixing project of planetarium shows. There can be A LOT episodes about mixing, Upmixing, concepts... And at my new studio I will have Dolby Atmos. I am very excited.
This is a great video, thanks @timheinrichenglish8782. One issue I've found with using render in place when selected to render channel settings is that the fader settings don't come over in that selection and the fader is set to zero. It's then difficult to level match with other elements in a project, as it can make the audio quieter than the version it has been rendered from. Does anyone have a workaround?
How do you use Render-In-Place?
How to set a shortcut for it??
